- Former Republican congressman Zach Wamp says the Democratic Party “got stuck” with Kamala Harris as their nominee.
Former US president Barack Obama and the former first lady Michelle Obama have endorsed Kamala Harris for the White House.
“They really couldn’t throw her overboard and there was no enthusiasm for president Biden any longer so he had no choice but to step away,” Mr Wamp told Sky News Australia.
“Then the question is: can she create enough enthusiasm to make this a close race?”
