Both presidential hopefuls have been zipping across the country, partaking in interviews and rallies but their performances couldn’t be any more different. As Kamala Harris crumbled on Fox News, Donald Trump flexed his might and thrashed Bloomberg during a live interview.

@@Daintymeow Every VP pick in the modern era is a DEI pick. The point of a VP is to balance out the ticket and be reasonably qualified. Obama's black and inexperienced? Fine, pair him with an experienced white guy. Donald Trump is old and comes from a rich family? Just have a young VP pick with a rags to riches story. Kamala Harris is a woman of colour from a major city? Pair her with a rural white guy. Joe Biden's a bit pale, male, stale? Put a younger black woman on the ticket.
Balancing out the ticket has long been the purpose of a VP pick - to bring diversity, equity and inclusion to the ticket.
But I think it says something that it's only the black woman who has been targeted for being 'DEI', especially when you compare her qualifications to some others.
