To this day, no other artist can provide me the solace so clearly about the things going on under my own skin and inside my head, my heart as James Blunt does. I'm not good with feelings. Let's just say me and feelings have a rough history. Tending to be messy and complicated at best. But this song speaks mostly to my feelings towards my kids father, with whom many things have been.. [no proper way to explain what they've been]. But we didn't know each other well when we met & I ended up pregnant. The road has been long & hard & severe. Above all my feelings for him grow. As I know life has been very hard on us both and when we met it was our way of trying to find something good in all of it until things went wayward due to unplanned pregnancy throwing us both for a loop and we both handled it differently. But despite everything I have learned there is more to a person than what they seem. A quiet, distant man he is. But the most wonderful heart. Anybody else have that? Where it's the potential for more with someone with whom things have not always been as they should but at the same time you know if your willing to wait for them one day your paths will become one and happiness might follow after enough time? I'm not the kind of person who believes in love or anything along those lines. Or I didn't. Really not good at things like that. I get too comfortable being a cynical hermit. I'm also not an unrealistic person with fluffy ideas that aren't rational. I'm not good with feelings because I'm emotionally distant. Sometimes, I think this brother is more than a brother. Because your songs transcend the timeline. I have a little story not so good, I had tried to survive. This sound reminds me in the last days that I spent in this lockdown. I was sleeping in my car, with this crisis that we are going through, I see that people are much colder and have forgotten that there are other brothers and sisters who suffering in this cold winter. To this day, no other artist can provide me the solace so clearly about the things going on under my own skin and inside my head, my heart as James Blunt does.
I'm not good with feelings. Let's just say me and feelings have a rough history. Tending to be messy and complicated at best.
But this song speaks mostly to my feelings towards my kids father, with whom many things have been.. [no proper way to explain what they've been]. But we didn't know each other well when we met & I ended up pregnant.
The road has been long & hard & severe. Above all my feelings for him grow. As I know life has been very hard on us both and when we met it was our way of trying to find something good in all of it until things went wayward due to unplanned pregnancy throwing us both for a loop and we both handled it differently.
But despite everything I have learned there is more to a person than what they seem. A quiet, distant man he is. But the most wonderful heart.
Anybody else have that? Where it's the potential for more with someone with whom things have not always been as they should but at the same time you know if your willing to wait for them one day your paths will become one and happiness might follow after enough time?
I'm not the kind of person who believes in love or anything along those lines. Or I didn't. Really not good at things like that. I get too comfortable being a cynical hermit. I'm also not an unrealistic person with fluffy ideas that aren't rational. I'm not good with feelings because I'm emotionally distant. But this one thing in my whole life feels more right than anything I've ever felt about anything before. And why not hold out for the man who gave me my kid?
I would choose to wait for him. He's worth it to me. Whatever he needs to catch up with himself. Especially cause he's away right now Army training. So I have no choice but to wait. 👍
