- In general, my previous PC completely suited me for several years. I edited almost all my projects on it. It copes with all editing programs, allows you to work with graphics and even play in games. However, this platform is inferior in its performance to more modern counterparts - this became especially noticeable after switching to work with 4K or 6K footage. And now it's time for a huge upgrade, I decided to build PC on new platform from AMD. Let's see that we'll get at the end.

Thank you for sharing your upgrade journey with us. I recently bought the H7 Elite the added airflow is definite plus. According to my grandson who also has a Asus ProArt 670E Creator board he choose to go with the Power Color OC AMD Radeon 7900XTX because there is a definite boost in performance when coupled with the AMD 7950X CPU as opposed to Intel and AMD graphics combo he tested both setups using Puget Sound test rendering software suite. Also while the Power Color OC 7900XTX is not cheap it is still a great deal more cost effective then Nvidia 4090 or 4080. I hope this small bit of information helps. Also my grandson uses Davin chi Resolve for film editing and is extremely happy with his all AMD system. Best wishes for you and the success of your channel.

Thanks, I'm still working with sounds and music in my videos. Now I'm using GTX 1060 6Gb, but plan to install rtx 4090 24Gb

A 12th or 13th gen intel CPU with integrated GPU for Quick sync compatibility would have been a way better choice...
Maybe, but I prefer to turn off the integrated graphics. Plus I wanted to build PC on new platform, so I'll have a huge potential for update.

I doubt it. The igpu inside AMD CPU does not work that well with editing software. The intel CPU does a better job here.
You'll need to use discrete graphics if you want to work with colors or graphics anyway

I HAVE RIZEN 9 5950 GPU RTX GETFORCE 3090 ,64 GB RAM CORZAIR DDR4 DOMINATOR PLATINUM , 2 SSD SAMSUNG 980 PRO 1000 GB EVERY ONE AND IT DONT WORK WITH VIDEO 6K 4444 HQ ,l can not undersrand it piff l can not really
What program do you use for editing? And you can always check task manager and see that's the weak part in your PC
I'm using Davinci Resolve, and had a problem with work when both GPU was on, then I turned off the integreted GPU off
I use adobe premier ,l see something strange on the GPU when l check task manager ,it is not using to much the GPU but still is working like 15 % around .l dont know what you mean with ( turned off the integreted GPU of ? I think you mean the GPU integreted but l have a pc and my pc has just an External GPU l both Rtx 3090 , Somtime l work just with the CPU but is to much for it .

I just tested my 6K BRaw, and I can see that the image in Premiere looks like it has some freezes, but it doesn't show any drop frames - that's strange. And I have pretty the similar situation that you said. The CPU and GPU works at 15-20%.
In Davinci I don't have such problem, and it plays in realtime so smooth. I don't work with Premiere that much right now, but if I'll find something new on this problem I'll reply to you.
*As a suggestion, you can make some tests with different cameras, resolution, formats, maybe try to install Davinchi (even free version) and check it there. Because If you won't have any problem there, so it means that something is wrong with Adobe and they need to fix it or optimize it.
I use the DJI Ronin 4d and l test it already with 4K also and it work better ,but still not like it should ,for that reason l think thereis something so strange and really l can not find out puff , but l will take this idea and to work a little with davinci .l am thinking about to buy another GPU ,A cuadro GPU but right now l can not ist a little ti expensive ,but l will see at future ,l think this GPU maybe hat an internal problem because to work in that way can not be possible ,and about update and drive the GPU is also done so yes ,its have broken ,thank you bró ,and sorry my english .l speak spanisch but in spanisch l dont why why we dont have so much info about alsmot nothing also my ronin is in english ,it was so dificult for to learn how to work with it xd .
The audio is horrible, direct video audio too high and the audio on background too low and the music too high is over your voice. Need adjustments.
