Awesome video!! Attention to detail. Well scripted. Thorough presentation. You nailed it for the Xterra! I hear Lenny Kravitz, " I want to get away!" in the background.
Thanks John!
Thanks John!
I like your rig man. I wish Nissan still made them, I used to have one of these and I loved it.
It’s been great! Absolutely love the X. It is too bad they stopped making tben
Great vid and I feel for all you guys back east or in those elements. I couldn't see my baby being eaten by rust, I would do a undercarriage spray or something and don't even get me started on interior
Sweet rig! Working on getting my X more offroad capable and your video's help out a lot!
Great to hear! We need more Xs out on the trails!
The refrigerator is cheaper than a Yeti cooler 😎 👌
Very Nice Xterra! Looks great and great job on the video.
Thank you!
Awesome rig! I’ll be starting to do little upgrades on my xterra.
Awesome man! Hopefully I was able to give You some inspiration on some potential upgrades!
Very nice ex!! I'm collecting parts to get mine more offroad worthy.
Awesome man! Check out nisstec lifts. They have a lot to good things. And also check out Z1 off-road
That exhaust is NICE!! #MarylandXTerraCrew
Sweet X 👍👍
Thanks 🙏🏻 🚙🇺🇸
Dam! Lots of mods! Let us know if you ever need to hit that panic button.....
Nice rig and setup.
Thanks Tommy! 💪🏽🙌🏽
Great rig!
Thank you! ❌🚙
Great looking xterra
Great looking truck, amazing build
Thank you!
I love your xterra 💜✨
Thank you!
Badass rig 👍 I’m titan swapped on 33’s but want to go with 35’s as well!
Awesome! I’m hoping to titan swap this year! 🙏🏻
Hi ...thanks for the current rig review... enjoyed it ....going to buy an Xterra and go overlanding....been watching your rig development....how much you have in the upgrades?....I am thinking a budget of $10,000 in upgrades will get me on the back lands....keep updating us followers...ciao
Glad you enjoyed the video! Hoping to make some more consistent content in the near future. But if you want to stay more up to date. Check out the channel Instagram conheck21_official. I post a lot more frequently there
Awesome build man! Saw a comment that you were wanting to titan swap it. Is that the best suspension upgrade for Xterras? Also, what are your thoughts on V8 swaps?
Titan swapping is like the best thing you can do before SAS. I’d love to V8 swap the X. It’s just about finding the right engine. Lots of people go for the VK56 from the Titan. But I’ve seen a few LS swaps out there
What did you do for drive shaft vibration? Tom woods just told me they no longer do nissan.
I haven’t had any problems with drive shaft vibration. It rides super smoothly
sweet rig! I just titan swapped mine, did you ever have any issues keeping alignment after being on a trail?
No issues with alignment. But I try to get one fairly regularly
Very cool rig, would do the same if I knew how to do that. Sure enjoy your videos do...
I’ve made a good number of install videos that can help you out!
@@conheck_offroad Thanks, will check those out!
Seeing the damage salt causes cars makes me cry 😭
🌺
Your rig helped me make my decision for a 4x4 vehicle. Anyone have a solid opinion on manual vs automatic for wheeling.
Everyone always says manual is better. But it definitely is more difficult/ requires more skill than an automatic. But an automatic in my opinion is just as good. I don’t believe there is actually an advantage one way or the other. Just preference
I have a manual and I love it but for going off road overall I'd say go automatic. If you don't go off road that often I'd go manual.
@@conheck_offroad I want to get the rack you have and I was wondering if a hard shell rta like the sky camper fit
I don’t see why not. I’m actually selling mine with the HD roof rack bars if you’re interested
@@conheck_offroad why are you selling the rack?
A Fan of your rig!
Did re-gear for the 35’s?
No I’m still running stock gears
super dope rig man! What do you think of not having the rear sway bar? I'm not wanting to pay for the adapters to keep it with the EMU springs...
I have deleted both of my sway bars. IMO you don’t need them
Can you go into more details on how you mounted your inreach and explain how you hook up the iPad to it. Does the SOS feature work without the subscription? Thanks
The inreach is mounted with a mount that is designed for it from garmin, and it connects to the iPad via Bluetooth. I believe the sos works without subscription. But not 100%
@@conheck_offroad just got my 2011 PRO-4X last week. I live in Maine and will be adding an intouch and gmrs very soon. Thank you for the reply
Happy to help!
I have a 2002 xterra that’s been sitting a while ,fixing to replace fuel pump
How sturdy is the tent mounted like that? I’m on the fence between the bravo and the mule. I just worry because I have kids.
It’s incredibly sturdy
Can’t go wrong either way
How does it handle on the freeway with lift and the tires?
I’m not sure if I want to lift mine.
It handles fine. It is by no means a sports car, but I have no issues with highway driving. Just make sure you get a decent lift and make sure the tires are balanced properly and it will be handle just fine.
I have deleted both my front and rear sway bars, and I can still make evasive maneuvers if I need to.
I also cruise at 75-80 mph consistently and it is just fine as well at that speed. Gas mileage takes a hit obviously with larger and more aggressive tires, but you can’t have both lol
Check out nisstec lifts, they’re great. And give them a call. They’ll be able to help you figure out exactly what you want and point you in the right direction
Nice thx for the info
No problem!
Sounds like the nismo exhaust on my G35 lol
I’m getting the radflos but my upper control arm is touching the inside of my wheel well with Rancho shocks, will this change once I add the radflos ? I have the titan suspension for my x
I'm adding some weight to my X and have been looking to add horsepower to help maintain acceleration. Did you notice any gains from your exhaust and headers?
I haven’t done a dyno, or gotten a tune, but I would say yes
I have OME leafs in the rear and I only have like 5k miles on them and they are loud when going over uneven terrain. Is this normal? I actually have the whole OME suspension kit with leaf springs which I think is up to a 2" lift over stock. (2012 Xterra Pro-4X)
I haven’t noticed them being loud. I got mine from nisstec lifts. I got new shocks with those springs… maybe that is why?
@@conheck_offroad sorry I meant OME (I fixed it). All shocks and leafs are basically brand new. Just curious if you dealt with any noise. Sounds like you haven't. Other than that everything is fine.
That is interesting. Sorry I couldn’t be off much help
@@conheck_offroad no worries haha
could be stupid and just missed it but what year? ive watched a couple videos and dont think youve mentioned it?
It is a 2011 pro4x
@@conheck_offroad thanks man! Have any knowledge willing to share about what models you should go for? From my understanding there’s a sport and a X I think. But just starting to get into the xterra world and would love to know what the perfect model/year to look for?
Look for a 2011 and later. Those don’t have the SMOD issues. I’d recommend a pro 4x they come with the factory elocker in the rear which is very helpful
Efrem RONALDO heare
What roof rack is it?
did you cut the wheel well to fit the 35s? or was the lift and bumper enough to clear it
I cut about 2” off the fender and then had to fold over the pinch seam that is behind the finder liner. I also removed the fender liners
@@conheck_offroad im gona try 33s i heard about a thing called heat mod
Yeah! Basically just warm up the plastic fender liner and push it out of the way to prevent rubbing. Very simple but effective. I ran 33s with no rubbing on the lift in the video
@@conheck_offroad i think my rear is stock but had fox 2.0 shocks and the front has Fox 2.0 coilovers. Would the rear clear 33s?
The type of shock doesn’t affect ride hight in the rear. It’s all the leaf springs and shackles that do that. If you at stock ride hight, you will prob have rubbing when you articulate
Gear 3.13?
What year is your xterra?
2011
Did you install the headers yourself?
No, I did not. I had a shop put them on because I was on a road trip when I had them installed
What gearing are you running for the 35s.
As I mentioned in the video, I was just running stock pro-4x gears. I’ll be switching to 4.10s here shortly and upgrading to an M205
Frame looks good considering the amount of salt on your rig.
Is yours a pro4x?
Yes it is
Are the rear cats magna flow too or delete until muffler?
They are still stock for now. They are needing to be replaced tho
@@conheck_offroad just ordered the both Front cats and rears of Z1 site. Was going to ask are you using any 02 harness extensions for the front 02 sensors?
I have no idea why you refer to the X as a "car".......
Yeah its a suv 👀
Slip of the tongue 🤦🏻♀️
I don’t script my videos before hand so sometimes I say stupid things lol
Its a truck
The background shuffling sound quickly becomes annoying, especially for those with hearing difficulties. It is beyond me why RUclips content creators think it is cool playing music over their voice. Remember, we came to hear you not fight the music.
Relax and be thankful he has given so much useful information For FREE. If it annoys you, don't watch it.
Amen, stop with the cheesy music
I have a similar rig as yours! Just sent you a gpx of a trail that is open in winter in VT on insta.
Awesome man! Thanks!
What year is your xterra?
It is a 2011 pro4x
