Dude! I did the same thing. O2 XE/SC. After hearing that whimper of the supercharger and the really solid drivetrain... It's about to go make Jeeps cry for 1/3rd of the $$$. I'm impressed with the durability.
I like the raptor liner paint, always on my mind to do it on my 03 Xterra 4x4, but focus on my suspension first if I would do anything like that. Like how your setup on your Xterra not too crazy.
I'm super pumped that I grabbed up one of these trucks for a decent price while they are gaining popularity. If you have a 5MT, you've got one of the last trucks ever made with 100% manual drivetrain (transmission and transfer case). This is the only way I want it. Three pedals, two sticks!
As of February 2022 I have a 2002 non-supercharged 3.3 V6 with a five speed manual it’s got 109,000 miles on it. I’m the second owner. I’m getting 22 mpg on the interstate.
Had an 03 Xterra but had to get rid of it because of all the rust. Looking to get a 2nd gen and to get in to overlanding. Here's to hoping Nissan will bring back the Xterra now that they have a new frontier platform.
The look of the vehicle is impressive. Like the floor boards and bumpers. How many miles on it? Does it require much maintenance? What's going on with the roof?
Had a 2001 4x4 and built it out. I loved that thing and traveled a lot states. But man was it a pain to drive on long trips. Slow, and sloppy suspension after changing just about every suspension part out. Still loved it though. Since moved to Toyota and will never look back.
Since February I’ve been playing around with a technique called hyper mile I am now getting upwards of 35 to 39 miles per gallon on the interstate five speed stick now has 116,000 on the odometer
Thoughts on a 2002 xterra se automatic 4x4 clean title with 220,000 for 1500$? Looking for something 4x4 when going up to some property that has steep hills and mud.
I have always wanted one and just picked up an 03 supercharged. It runs good, but i HATE the valve cover issues. They leak oil like a siv. Any fix for this would be awesome and appreciated. The phillips head screws are getting stripped out.
Congrats on the new rig! Typically you just need to retighten the screws that hold the valve cover on. Worst case you may need to put a new valve cover seal on there.
@@RogueOverland agreed on the tightening of the valve cover. I have been doing that, but the passenger side screws are stripped on a couple. I didn't know if anyone came up with a plan to replace the screws yet as the oem ones are a million bucks. Well, near $400 anyways.
Does anyone know the names of the website I can find all the Gear he has showed in this video? I just got myself a Nissan Xterra 2001 for my first car and I would like to do something like this. It looks awesome 🤘🏼

I’ve got a 02 X. Custom lift. Done 40,000 km of overlanding in the last 3 years. Wouldn’t trade it for the world.
Love it!
Wow. Yours is great! Wish I could do this to my original 2001. I’ve had her for 20 years. I love mine.
One step at a time. Thanks for watching!
Looking at purchasing a 2002 with 65k miles, looks like it was garage kept!!!!
I just picked up an 01 to be strictly a daily but now I actually want to mod it lol
You’re getting the itch! 😂

I kind of like the raptor liner. You can pretty much walk all over the truck without leaving a mark. Pretty nice

I have a QX56 & want to turn her into a prerunner, help!!! Need resources for beefy suspension
Start with reaching out to All Dogs Off Road (www.alldogsoffroad.com). Tell them Rogue Overland sent you over and they will take good care of you.
Never talked about the clogged cats these Xterras are known for
To our knowledge it is the second generation Xterra’s that have that issue. Thanks for watching!

How heavy is that front bumper??
Not sure off hand. The manufacture should have that info.
i had an 05 2wd that was awesome in NE PA snow, i miss it, trans went out and had to sell it 🥺

Taking the off would give the cleanest look. They are double side taped on.
Does 1st gen xterra need any mods to run newer aftermarket wheels?
Shouldn’t as long as the bolt pattern is correct.
I have one 2003 that I was thinking about what to turn into.
How much will it cost me to turn into something like that or yours?
It's hard to say. It depends on if you buy parts new or used and if you install yourself or not.
