This week i'll be bringing you with me through a VERY busy week in my life, living alone at university in the UK :) With studying & completing many assignments, trips to the school library, plant-based grocery hauls, visiting my granddad, new camera & also opening up about my recent issues with anxiety and anxiety attacks.

    Dear Megan, I feel sorry for you that you suffer from anxiety and panic attacks... you really don't have to be ashamed that you are going through that at 26. It happens to people of all ages, I am 33 years old and I also suffer from anxiety and panic attacks 😔 I hope you feel better soon.     Also consider cutting back on caffeine or quitting it completely, that helped me a ton when my anxiety was out of control.

      Me too. I always have a decaf in the
      morning. I also take zinc and magnesium in addition of vitamines D and B. I also noticed that I feel better if I eat potatoes before a social event. Funny but it works for me.

      Helped me a lot, l actually didn't know at first that coffee made my anxiety even worse, but when l found out l started slowly (but surely, cause l loved my coffee) cutting down on my coffee intake & now l only drink coffee once in a whatever. Helped my anxiety a lot

    Girl I've been watching your videos since moving to the UK. I love how they are so relatable and therapeutic somehow. I just want to say to you that I admire your courage for moving outside the country and also for going to college after a while. Just keep believing in yourself. Try to enjoy the moments and stop overthinking about the future (I can relate to this badly lol). You're doing amazing! You got this :)

    Don’t feel embarrassed about anxiety ever please🥺 it’s treatable and doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong with you. I got treated for social anxiety this year, best thing I ever did. If possible, look into therapy. You got this☺️

    Somethings that always help me with anxiety when I feel them coming on is touching my thumb to each finger and just listing things. Like a list of 5 things and repeat. It just helps you focus your mind and reset. Never be ashamed you are doing incredible things, just out here living your best life. Its good to show the hard with the easy. :)

    Hey Meg! Lovely video as always, really missed you last week. You are such a joy. Jesus has really helped me through anxiety, I used to feel those same feelings all the time but now the chains have been broken. It's amazing to see that you're being more plant based, it's a great initiative. However, with yoghurt, I would suggest continuing with just regular greek yoghurt. It's got high protein, filled with probiotics and is way cheaper in price than plant yoghurt. Life is not about being black or white or fitting into a niche its just about being better than your former self. You have come a long way and I am so proud of you. You've truly helped me with my disordered eating from the past. You are truly sent by God. Just eat what feels good to you and what settles right with your intuition. You are an inspiration Megan, loads of love from Czech Republic and God bless you!

    you're not alone in your feelings! I'm 27 and I started getting frequent anxiety and panic attacks at 25. Seems like it comes out of nowhere but there are definitely precipitating factors and for me it was working in a high stress environment with overwhelming workloads. I think you're on the right track with physical activity, I found that was what helped me manage my anxiety too :) and solid sleep of course! If you keep your self-care regimen up things will get easier and you can get through it better ❤️

    As someone who has wasted 3 years on medical school, restarted course again in English Lit, i would say being older than average age lets me enjoy the time of the youth more. When i was studying med as the age i should normally be, i JUST DID NOT KNOW HOW TO BEHAVE, i just didn’t know the being able to study is a bless. So doing it again at the same time being older is like a second chance. Now with experiences i know how to handle things, how to handle myself as well. It goes with grades and hardships in college too, i just know it’s not the end of the world and life is so much more than that. We go to univeristies to accumulate knowledge, the rest is just accessory of it. What i’m saying is getting to choose things for yourself when you’re ready is a grace. You are ready in yourself and decision you make, in your own time. And that lets you enjoy/value both life and youself more with gratitude. Go get it girl. I stand with you.❤️

      At my gym they have positive affirmations they display on the flat screens as we work out and one said excersize helps with mental health which I thought duh with the endorphenes being a natural drug we produce. I also heard just focusing on the moments and enjoying/learning from whatever circumstance life brings helps and when her camera broke I was sad but then she surprised us :)

    I am so sorry for anyone going through anxiety or depression or any mental problems. In addition in eating healthy and exercising I would add to get outside in getting that natural vitamin D from the sun because most of us lack that.

Hope the rest weren't too hard to finish : D Good trick with going to the library - I might try that too, bc November hadn't been easy for me in terms of studying 😬 Any other struggling studens here? I always feel like the time change and start of winter are the hardest month of the year when i just wanna give up. So thank you for this warming and uplifting vlog! kisses for Carl

    Hi Megan, I'm in my 20s as well and I also had my first couple panic attacks in the last few weeks. It feels really strange and random starting them later in life, so I totally understand where you're coming from! I hope things get better for you and thank you for talking about it, it makes me and others feel less alone

    I'm 36 and I suffer from anxiety and panic attacks. I lost my mum in 2018 and my dad this year. I live alone with my 2 cats. Life is hard sometimes. Your videos help me distract from my problems. Thank you so much for uploading:)

    Been following you for years. Just wanted to say sis you’re doing a good job 😆 It’s so good that you’re able to self reflect on your feelings, anxiety and triggers and make some changes to get in a good space. If you can do that on your own you will get your anxiety under control in no time. As someone who suffered with anxiety for a long time it can get better ❤️

    I wanna tell you that you're the bravest girl I have ever seen you didn't ever give up on science and learning and becoming the best best version of urself , you're not late cause girl you're not in race ! you're my idol and u know what in my country also I am 23 and still in the begining of my second year , the girls of my age now married and engaged but u know what ? that thing make them happy and I am happy for them and the thing I am doing right now make me happy so we're even , don't ever regret any thing you're such an inspiration and never ever give up I love you , I hope this comment finds you

    I used to love library time in my final year of uni!
    I usually went early in the morning with some tea and studied languages for an hour and then began the school work and stayed til lunch ~

    I love videos like this, I get super cozy fall/Gilmore Girls vibes. I relate so much to some of the anxiety you describe, especially over the last year or so, and I'm only 25 as well! I started taking vitamin D in high doses (along with k2 and magnesium) and it seems to be helping a lot, but I should try to get out and socialize more too. I always look forward your vlogs, they're very comforting ^-^ Lots of love from the states

    Megan, not sure if you'll see this, but I'm also someone that has suffered from anxiety disorder for years. I've ended up in the hospital multiple times for panic attacks (even at 29 yrs old), and apart from taking medication off and on, I have figured out how to combat the onset of symptoms. Some tips: exercise, like you said, helps tremendously. So does meditation. When you start to feel that anxiety kicking in, if you can get cool air to hit your face (or splash with cold water) and focus on your breathing. Even go for a quick walk (winter time is my favorite because of this, cold crisp air helps a lot). Sometimes, we don't realize we are panic breathing or forgetting to breathe lol As a fellow coffee addict, (I see you drink as much coffee as I do) a big change I had to make was cutting caffeine and opting for decaf in EVERYTHING. I used to be able to put down a couple cups of regular coffee and go straight to sleep when I was 21, but now two sips and I'm already on the cusp of a full blown panic attack. Been caffeine free for over a year and feel sooo much better and hardly having anxiety symptoms. I still drink all my favorite versions of coffee every day, just in decaf and don't at all feel deprived or missing out. Soda is another story, I don't drink soda more than once every month, but when I do it's such a pain to find decaf flavors I enjoy. ): Caffeine free coke doesn't hit the same. Oftentimes have to opt for sparkling flavored waters. My sleep has definitely improved, too, and noticed lack of sleep also worsened my anxiety symptoms. I know this comment is a lot lol but hope it can help in some way 💜

    I’ve had anxiety just like ur talking about and it took me a long time to realize that that’s what it was I wanted to lose weight so I started exercising and running has helped so much with my social anxiety I’m able to speak more to people without choking up Its such a relief that it’s helped Highly recommend exercise

    I’m sorry you’re going through panic attacks 🥺😢 I know how that feels. The last couple weeks my anxiety got bad and I started getting panic attacks during work, so much that I felt horrible my whole shift. I had to go, now I’m looking for something that better suits me right now. Thanks for the exercising tip. I loved the video like always, I’m so glad you posted. I laughed so much at Carl being so mad and was glad you got to see your grandad and get out more. I love going to the library too, I was suppose to go today but tomorrow for sure! Loved the grocery haul 😊

    don't feel bad about yourself at all, the world has gone through a terrible time, you're going to school with younger people you can't relate to, its hard to make friends as an adult and to top it off you're not from the uk so your support system is elsewhere. exercise will help but what you need is social interaction and unconditional support so you can flourish. well done for keeping on top of everything and staying motivated!

    I just turned 19, and last week in class I got so nervous raising my hand to ask a question that I ended up just saying "never mind"!! And it's a class I've been in all semester, I know the professor is super nice, but I still get hit with these random waves of panic. I think anxiety is never something to be ashamed of, and even if it seems silly and frustrating, it's still a very real feeling. Hopefully we can both work past it, or work through it.     Good for you Megan! I suffer with anxiety too. Mentioning in your video you are exercising and meditating for the release of chemicals that build up in our brains has really opened my eyes and given me a solution. I didn't know this!     Omg 5:03 this was so helpful!!. I graduated and did find a job. But I’m experiencing this thing where I can’t find the words and form a normal sentence and I’m also being very chaotic. I looked it up and it said it was something called “brainfog” one of the symptoms are being stressed. Maybe exercising will help:(

    Many times it's food related, healthy fats and animal protein help with hormonal balance, yeah family/friends, exercise and a good night sleep!

First I love u sooo much , and scantly, I just want to tell u that anxiety is not something that u should feel embarrassing about bcs nowadays its something very common , and me personally I had anxiety years ago , and I am now perfectly fine , and I am not struggling with it anymore , so it just need a little bit of time , and u should know one thing is the only way the get ride of ur fear is to face it , and u well be fine , we all gonna live once , so I don't what you to spend ur only life by thinking about what others think about u , and for over thinking about future , the only way to get a nice future , is to live the present in the best way and make every moment special , so in place of over thinking u can work for it . and that's everything I hope u read this 🙂❤❤🐸

    I started college at 26, too, but I started in fall 2019. My anxiety got worse when I started school. I had to stop drinking caffeine. I realized anytime I had coffee, especially before school, anxiety would manifest itself. Hope you figure out what’s causing the anxiety and that you can manage it. 💓

    For Carols tank you could always buy some black paper and tape it to the one side of his tank? Or use cardboard and paint that??? That way you don't have to have towels hanging all the time.

    Thats amazing, that you started to take vitamins, but make sure you take B12 on an empty stomach.
    For example, when you wake up and drink your glass of water - take B12 right away, so while you excercise/shower/meditate there is a little time between B12 and breakfast. This will help your body absorb more of it.

    Aww, was hoping you’d show the curry recipe you made! I’ve never made curry before but I’d like to try your recipe! :) I hope everything gets better for you with your panic attacks and anxiety. When I first moved out into my apartment due to family issues I went through it BAD. Like you, but prolly 3x worse. I had not idea what was wrong with me I thought I was crazy. It’s good that you’re aware of what’s going on and that you need to continue to put yourself out there.     I'm 26 too and I still have occasional panic/anxiety attacks when I'm dealing with a lot of stress, overstimulation especially when interacting with more than a couple people at once. I just get overwhelmed by what (I think) is expected of me in social situations when I feel like I can't meet those expectations it causes too much inner turmoil that presents itself with those choked up, tunnel vision, chest pressure symptoms. I often have to ground myself in some way and I like to think of things that make me feel very calm and bubbly and take me out of my own head like if there were a hoard of kittens on the floor waiting for me to pet them or giving myself a big hug and saying that "This too shall pass" and "do or do not, there is not try" as an affirmation of comfort, productivity, and patience with myself because that kind of silly stuff works for me.

    Hi Megan-Thank you for posting this week! I always enjoy your videos. I take Magnesium Glycinate at night 400 mg which is 2 tablets to sleep better and it helps with anxiety too. I do usually have 1-2 cups of coffee a day but I stop all caffeine at 2 pm because I heard it’s good to do that so it doesn’t mess with your sleep. Hope this helps! 🌟👍😎🎈

    i also have BAD anxiety, ive fainted from panic attacks before gf...no good!!! meds kinda helped me, but not much. i struggle with food and my body too which adds to low self-estem...im 23 so no embarassment!!! :)

    Hi Megan, you don't have to be ashamed at all for getting anxiety attacks - this can happen at any age, any gender and any time! With all that's going on in the world, anxiety among younger people even increased. I'm a licensed counselor so please trust me when I say that untreated anxiety usually gets worse. It's great that you're doing stuff that helps you dealing with it, knowing your recources is an important tool! But if they don't stop or if you feel anxouis more often, please consider seeing a therapist, it really really helps 🍀. I love your videos by the way, I'm not much older than you are and have been following you for some years now. Wish you all the best my dear!, ❤️
