This vlog is for the days when you just have to push through. Sharing about my mental health is scary - I always worry that I sound complain-y or silly, or that no one will be able to relate and I'm going through these thoughts and feelings alone. BUT I'm telling myself that just isn't true.
When I was first diagnosed with bipolar disorder, I couldn't find anyone my age online who was talking about it. I don't have all the answers, but at the very least, I hope sharing my journey helps someone else feel less alone.

My name is Mary, I'm 24, and I live in Northern Virginia (just outside of DC!) with my fiance. I'm a freelance editor/writer and content creator. I'm currently working on a graduate certificate at UW, and my dream is to work in publishing. I spend too much time on walks and too much money at bookstores. I have bipolar disorder and OCD, and those two conditions shape every single moment of my life. It's my goal to create a life for myself that honors my mental health, while not allowing it to hold me back. I'm happy you're here x

I had a copyright issue, so I had to private the vid & fix it. luckily, I was able to fix it in RUclips Studio without having to delete & reupload, and we should be good now!!!! so sorry about that!! 🤍

I’m in my 40’s and was diagnosed a year with bipolar 2 disorder and adhd. The struggle is real but I find comfort is knowing I’m not alone. You’re openness and honesty about BP is refreshing.

I was diagnosed with Bipolar II and OCD, as well as agoraphobia, a week ago today; because of you, I don't feel so alone. <3

Diagnosed with Bipolar 2 in 2021 and OCD 5 months ago. However have been on and off diagnosed with anxiety and depression since I was 13 years old (8th grade) and have been battling forever. Thanks for this video. It feels great to not feel alone. ❤️

I just started the video, and tysm for sharing, I really needed this, I’m also bipolar, and it’s so relatable for me that u work for urself, cuz same, I always say idk what I would do if I didn’t work for myself I don’t think I’d be able to keep a job, cuz my mood changes so often and I’m always very sure about my ideas in the moment. Also I can’t be consistent for the life of me, so I feel lucky that someone with bipolar has a RUclips channel cuz If I want one I have to be normal long enough to record and edit and release, but I never last long enough and when i do im so happy I try to take advantage of that time to get necessities done before I go back to not caring sm I would go homeless before getting up to work. So you’re giving me hope.💗

Thank you so much for this. I truly needed it. My grad research has been the death of me while dealing with mental health. Yesterday someone asked if I was just being lazy 😢 I feel so seen and validated by your words. ❤I could cry rn because not many people understand. It’s such a relief to see something like this in the middle of my struggle.

As someone who is also struggling with bipolar disorder and OCD while trying to be a “good adult” this video made me feel so seen and WAY less alone. Thank you for being so transparent ❤
