Walker did his thing but don't let him overshadow Justin Martinez. that kid is something special, dude's stuff is easily top 10 in the league. That 102mph 2-seam with a foot of movement and 90mph splitter combo is absolutely disgusting.
Don't forget he's got a Slider as well! Definitely not 70 grade like his other pitches, but it's at least average
Here's to hoping he can fill some more high leverage innings (although having him there in case you need a couple of quality innings in a close game is a nice luxury to have)
He also has a closers personality and flair. What a beast
From a Dodgers fan's perspective, I agree, and tip my cap to both your team's great play, especially defensively, and of course Walker Arizona Ranger, for _killing_ both my team _and_ stadium! 👏
Yea man...I remember him coming up last year and just looking like a shotgun blast. He was throwing hard but it was all over the place. I was like, "man...hope he can work on this and dial that in. He'll be nasty." Don't think I've ever seen such single season improvement.

I’ve NEVER seen a more thorough dismantling of a team, let alone the Dodgers, that happened tonight. They were walking Christian Walker because they couldn’t figure out what witchcraft was happening, and DBacks had all different aspects of defense on SHOW tonight and then they triple struck out the last three batters in the bottom of the ninth including Otani. This is one I’ll remember.

Elite level pitching? In this series? Lol, the DBacks opened Game 1 with a reliever (then brought in their #7 SP on the depth chart), started Game 2 with a 21 year old MLB debutant, and Game 3 was Gallen, but it was also only his second start back from injury.
If they're struggling with that quality of pitching, they'd better hope they get Betts and Muncy back fairly soon.

It wasn't the Dodgers' pitchers who were bad, but Arizona's offense seemed to be just as strong as usual. The PS battle is starting to make me anxious again, just like last year.
DBacks finally getting healthier, and Carroll finally getting his swing locked in has to be a fairly big concern for anyone in the WC race at the moment.

I'm new to baseball. Would anyone be willing to explain to me why at 6:49 that isn't an out? I was under the assumption that the runner's line couldn't be crossed otherwise it means the runner is out.
Only if they interfered with the throw, which he didn't.
So as soon as the ball is in play, the straight line between the runner and first base is established. The rule is that the runner has to stay within 3 feet of that line to the left or right and it’s up to the umpire if he exceeded those 3 feet. In this case the umpire ruled him safe because that’s how he saw it but another umpire could have ruled him out as soon as they thought he exceeded the 3 feet. This call isn’t able to be challenged as there’s not currently a way to measure those 3 feet precisely as the line between where the runner starts and first base can differ slightly every time. To be honest tho I don’t think any umpire is going to take those 3 feet into consideration unless it looks like an absurd distance from the line.😂
