    Whatever the Jays do, DO NOT TRADE VLAD! Build around him. I heard all the arguments. Vlad is a rare special player who is still only 25. He is already 9th on the Jays all time home run list! At 25?! We are not getting anything close to him in return. People thinking we are going to get all these young core players for him, need a reality check. Instead, bring in a threat to hit behind him for protection.

      What's ridiculous is that they didn't sign him long term years ago. All his buddies and peers like Tatis Jr, J-Rod, Devers and Witt Jr all are signed to 10+ year deals.

    Possible hot take, but the Jays NEED to trade Vladdy while he's on this Hot Streak. This core didn't work out, and while the Management wants to try one final time next Season, there's no signs indicating that the Jays will be any better next Season. But if they trade Vladdy now and get a lot out of him, they could build a new core and actually have a Team identity in the long run. I like Vladdy, he's a solid player with a fun personality, but his current stint with the Jays should come to a close.
    Aside from that rant, nice win, Jays!!!

      @@jbceedeez uh, you allowed to critical about the Team you like XD. I literally said that I like Vladdy and I'm a Jays fan, but thinking long term since this Season is pretty much done for the Jays, trading Vladdy now before he hits Free Agency after next Season could bring a LOT of good for the Jays in years to come.

    • @NatTurnerswitBurnerz
      @NatTurnerswitBurnerz Месяц назад

      @EmptyCeraelBowl What's a LOT? What inside info do you have to make that claim? Why would a team give up a bunch of prospects for a player they could just sign as free agent in less than a year and a half and give up nothing?.
      He's 25 years old. By baseball standards, he hasn't even hit his prime, which is 27-32. Right now, he's the only reason many people watch this team. He's their best player and the face of the franchise. He's the only legit power hitter on the team. Good luck selling tickets if you trade him for prospects.
      If you really want a rebuild, you're better trading all your starters who are over 30, Bichette and Springer and maybe in 4-5 years the team will be ready to compete with Vlad who will still be in his prime years.

    • @EmptyCeraelBowl
      @EmptyCeraelBowl Месяц назад

      @@NatTurnerswitBurnerz I agree with everything you're saying. Again, I could go both ways with it. I'm all for building around Vlad as the centerpiece.
      But, to humor your inquiry, there are Teams who currently have realistic World Series Aspirations this Season who could really use a Power Hitting First Baseman.
      That's all I'm saying. The chance is out there. If a good offer isn't made, then by all means keep Vlad and extend him (which the Jays should have already done if they truly had no doubts about keeping him, just saying). However, do I trust Atkins to handle that trade well? No, no I do not 😂

      Too few AB's to make such a bold statement. And Springer's OPS for July is .958 while Horowitz's is .774. And lastly, George has 9 SB & hasn't been caught while Spencer has zero & likely will remain at zero. Also George has scored 15 runs in the last 21 games while Spencer only 6 in the same 21.
