The smoothies are made more to be a leave-in moisturizer than a styler. SM isn’t very clear with that, I had to learn this from my other RUclips curlies. Also, my hair is super thick (think horses’ tail) and I can’t use as much Smoothie as you were, and my hair just drinks it in...I really like your videos!! The one with your hubby also trying products is funny!!
@@stateofgrace03 there's not much difference between a leave-in and a moisturizer just that moisturisers are packed with heavy oils and butter to seal in hydration/moisture from water while leave-in tends to be more slippery to aid styling. A styler is used to keep a style in place for hold, shape and longevity. These all depend on the style type you chose and your climate and your hair density as well. For instance, if you have a coarse texture, high density, live in a humid place and love wash n go, it will be better to use a strong hold gel with plasticiser to hold your hair and block out humidity etc.
We sort of have the same hair type and length and I use the smoothie with a gel to keep it curly and make it last 3-4 days .. and I plop my hair to get volume
Our hair is not alike, but yeah the frizz from the hibiscus , i couldn't do it. i tried it twice because of all the rave and returned it twice. i think its because glycerin is like #2 on the ingredients list. ppl like the hibiscus smoothie with the souffle, but i couldnt do that either, the souffle made my scalp itch sooo much and made my hair feel damp even when it was 100% dry and then it dried my hair out so much
I had the same issues with the hibiscus curl smoothie. Did you try the jamaican black castor oil one? was it better? I also tried their coconut styling milk and it made my hair feel sticky. ;( I love some of their other products but I think coconut is a no-go for me.
I wish the smoothie had a smaller trial pack like castor. It makes hair curlier but not in the way I liked it? Looked sparse and stringy curls. Castor one didn’t help curl pattern but I loved how it felt and how hydrated my hair looked. I only got a small packet to try because I have extreme high porosity fine hair and was scared it would be weighed down.
Hmm I use the smoothies without gel but with leave in cond and I don't get that much freez. Then again I'm ok with frizz because my hair is fine so it gives it volume. But I'm trying the jbco and I love the definition and volume but seems a bit dry on the ends. I just trimmed so I know it's not me. Maybe I will use more of the leave in on the same line. I am afraid of gels.
The lotion is better for your curl type but You can delute the smoothy’s with water for curly hair that is not 3a or upp. To heavy for lower than 3a curls
The Shea moisture smoothie is just too thick for my hair. I have tried it a few times even on extremely wet saturated hair. My hair feels so weighed down

I use leave in conditioner Restore. Works great for myself and my seven year old daughter❤️

The Shea Moisture Hibiscus Gel defines every strand. Try that one in the same line.

Wow! The curl enhancing smoothie side looks so shiny and great! OwO!
I use gel on top of my curling smoothie and seal with a little almond oil and it lasts all week but your curls are looser than mine.
Iconic Curlz that is a great tip and something I may try just with very little smoothie. Thank u 💖.
FineCurlyHayr I agree I don't use alot because it will weigh fine hair down
Iconic Curlz do you put on the almond oil last or the gel last? I want to try that out.
Very good video! I loved it! Good information to know
