I tried it for the first time yesterday. I just hate the way it smells and the smell lingers in my hair 😭 I love the way it applied though and my hair seemed fairly moisturized after
I absolutely agree, that is my absolute fav SM line, followed closely by the JBCO line. I stocked up on the castor oil line during the lockdown as well. The Manuka Honey and Mafura oil line is harder to find in my area. I stock up on the leave-in conditioner, deep conditioner and regular conditioner in that line when I do find it.
FYI, I have 4c hair and tried the Shea Butter conditioner and really liked it, BUT that Jamaican Black is on a whole other level!!!! It takes to the hair immediately and feels like butter when applying and when you rinse it...wooow! Your hair feels like butter and silk, it was unbelievable, best conditioner I've ever used. Still have to try the other two she ranked above it just to see if they could be better!

Been doing this for about thre years or so -- that's how I stock up on deep conditioners, large jars of bentonite clay, rosewater, and essential oils, etc. Why pay $12 , $13 or $14 for a jar of conditioner when I can pay $7 or $8😉.
I stopped using Shea moisture after they were purchased by Unilever. I knew that once they were bought out that the product would change -- but not in a good way.

The original SM Jamaican Black Castor Oil leave-in and mask were GOAT! Carried me through my transitioning phase. Haven’t bought it since they removed the keratin and replaced it with ACV. Hard pass.
It's been almost 5 months since I've started trying Shea Moisture hair products. I've watched some of my favorite RUclips channels, including this one and decided to now try the Jamaican Black Castor oil masque. I'm looking forward to great results.
I’ve tried/wasted money on almost all Shea moisture deep conditioners and my hair hated it..only Mielle mongongo oil deep conditioner works for my low po hair ..probably because it does not contain protein.
Thank you so much! I thought it was me or that I was doing something wrong, but I didn't like the curl enhancing smoothie either; a lot of white residu both in my scalp and hair strands🙄 Now I'm just planning to keep using the Cantu detangler and argan oil on top, nothing else! Oh and some oil mix for my scalp🙂 God Bless🙏🏾
The Hibiscus hair mask saved my hair so Good! I love the tan deep conditioner. I didn’t want to buy the blue yogurt one because of the price but I think you’ve convinced me! Also my hair was wavy but when I started all the hair treatments it has gone back to straight 😊. So thank you! My hair just needed extra attention
Loved this video!!! I have tried several of these conditioners but not the protein one with Manuka Honey and Yogurt. I'll definitely be buying that tomorrow for my next wash day!
I tried most the Shea Moistures out it really made my hair feel dry, I now use them as base as you do and keep Cantu deep treatment masque as my go to. I'm protein sensitive too so will definitely give the hydrate plus repair a go xx
My favorites are the castor oil one and the manuka honey and mafuru oil one (dark brown container). I can't pick between the two and actually use both together in Farida's deep conditioner recipe (rapunzel challenge prep video). Not only does it smell amazing but my hair is left so silky, nourished, and strengthened. I freeze the extra like in the video and each cube is two treatments. Farida, I don't know where I'd be without you.
Both yes , so they said the second package arrived 1st in cape town and the 1st package was in Johannesburg, so that must come to cape town then go THROUGH our revenue and then to the main post office then to dispensary then to my post office lol i cant deal lol the only thing keeping me going is the excitement.. if you want to disclose whats in the packages so that i know what should be in there incase anything has being taken out and yes it happens alot this side
The Manuka Honey Protein Conditioner is probably more expensive because Manuka honey is VERY pricey! It has great health benefits and can only be found in Australia & New Zealand,
Hi Curly Proverbz, I am from Jamaica and found your channel while trying to find natural hair youtubers who aren't trying to sell anything and actually sound like they know what they are talking about. I am.happy I found you and Indigenous strandz. My only problem is that I have to order from amazon to try these ayurvedic oils and treatments and shipping and clearing is ridiculous not to mention these herbal or health stores are selling thrice the price otherwise seen online. I bought amla some oils and fenugreek and is infusing hibiscus aka sorrel as we call it in Jamaica and honestly my hair feels so much thicker and is growing. I plan to do a video about the hair growth challenge . you are a God sent and so knowledgeable too😁. If you have a giveaway again soon that would be awesome. Keep it up
Their deep conditioners don’t really do it for my hair. I almost finished my Manuka honey one, my hair feels soft with it in my hair but as soon as I wash it out of, my hair feels really dry. And I use heat every time. The only thing that has really worked for me is the TGIN deep conditioner
Thank you so much for braking those shea moisture deep conditioners down, because I love the JBCO deep conditioner but I thought it was a protein DC. I never tried that SM in the blue container. Will have to try it because my hair is color treated and I need protein to keep it strong.
I have tried almost all of their conditioners & masks. I found that I shared your sentiments esp on the Shea Deep Moisture Treatment. I also wanted to compare the Jamaican B.C mask with the Deep Treatment Shea mask. No comparison! The latter feels more like a body butter as opposed to the hydration & slip that you get with the JBC mask. Also the Curl Enhancing condish is nothing to get excited about despite the Neem which also gets me excited. Hoping I can get my hands on the Manuka & Yogurt Mask, the ingredients sound amazing. The 10 in 1 superfoods conditioner😩 was sooo good. Sadly only tried once. Tfs! ☺️
My favorite is the Peace Rose Oil, the Mafura oil and Manuka Honey, 10 in 1, and the yogurt (I have this blue one in a big 10.3 oz tube that I got at tj maxx). The smell is fab in all of the above and when I don't find the deeps, I just use the regular conditioner version and steam with a hooded dryer/plastic cap😍. I CANNOT use any of their shampoos since they leave my low porosity, wavy natural hip lengths brittle as H---😣. I appreciate you queen for doing this😍. Shea Moisture is messing up royally and changing formulations as well as the smells that were working and they think our hair doesn't know it! Peace and Blessings
I don’t usually comment but just in case someone had the same problem as me if you are protein sensitive make sure u check shea moisture ingredients because majority of them have hidden proteins even in products where it says it’s moisturizing ( the manuka honey line ) & etc
Interestingly the super fruit 10-1 does horrible on my hair. It just sits there and does not do much. Appreciate the reviews, as this brand is widely available and they go on sale quite often. It’s budget friendly when you catch them on sale.
I'm just over here like.. I LOVE your shirt! I don't use shea moisture much because I find that their products is too thick for my fine, low porosity hair. But I do like the JBCO line leave in
I just adore you 😘😘😘 honestly discovering you have saved my hair .... I am still relaxed but incorporating ayurveda into my regimen has just taken the health of my hair to another level lol some people actually think I'm natural😉💗💗💗💗

It's been almost 5 months since I've started trying Shea Moisture hair products. I've watched some of my favorite RUclips channels, including this one and decided to now try the Jamaican Black Castor oil masque. I'm looking forward to great results.
I really love this video! just found your channel and I'm binge watching!
I’ve tried/wasted money on almost all Shea moisture deep conditioners and my hair hated it..only Mielle mongongo oil deep conditioner works for my low po hair ..probably because it does not contain protein.
Same. My hair loves Mielle and TGIN. Both product leave my hair really soft. I’m guessing it’s because they don’t have protein in it
The only Shea moisture that works for me is the Manuka honey and marafu oil (without protein) and it is similar but better to TGIN to me
Doesn’t work well
Thank you so much!
Sending you love all the way from Africa (Namibia specifically) Adore You!!! 🙈
Loved this video!!! I have tried several of these conditioners but not the protein one with Manuka Honey and Yogurt. I'll definitely be buying that tomorrow for my next wash day!
You're going to fall in love......hopefully lol. Its my favorite or in my top 3 of the sm dc's.
@@ninacardoza2005 I ordered it online. It should arrive in 2 days...just in time for our wash day on Sunday 🙌🏾
I tried most the Shea Moistures out it really made my hair feel dry, I now use them as base as you do and keep Cantu deep treatment masque as my go to. I'm protein sensitive too so will definitely give the hydrate plus repair a go xx
The shea moisture Curl enhancing smoothie is not a deep conditioner , it's a styling cream ,
😮😅😊
I do have the Manuka Honey Yogurt. You are making me want to try it this weekend! Wash Day here I come. 💜
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Very helpful review!! Thank you. Blessing back to you!
It’s because of your wisdom my hair has a chance lol. Thank you
❤️❤️❤️🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Thanks for this review! I think I'll try the pink one based on the review and ingredients!
Hi babe my goodies are finally in south Africa cape town, but i have to wait another 2 weeks . Im so excited
Goodness took forever... haha both?
Both yes , so they said the second package arrived 1st in cape town and the 1st package was in Johannesburg, so that must come to cape town then go THROUGH our revenue and then to the main post office then to dispensary then to my post office lol i cant deal lol the only thing keeping me going is the excitement.. if you want to disclose whats in the packages so that i know what should be in there incase anything has being taken out and yes it happens alot this side
The Manuka Honey Protein Conditioner is probably more expensive because Manuka honey is VERY pricey! It has great health benefits and can only be found in Australia & New Zealand,
The Black Castor Oil Deep Conditioner is my favorite. I keep the shampoo, conditioner and deep conditioner in stock at all times.
Keep it up
I’ve always enjoy see the anti breakage yucca and plaintainnlinebas well I also like the super foods and the new manukan and honey protein
Their deep conditioners don’t really do it for my hair. I almost finished my Manuka honey one, my hair feels soft with it in my hair but as soon as I wash it out of, my hair feels really dry. And I use heat every time. The only thing that has really worked for me is the TGIN deep conditioner
Everyone loves the Manuka one but I swear it does nothing for my hair 💯
I thought the superfruit was discontinued for several years now. I used it and loved it.
Clicked so fast! If you love the JBC line you might love the High Porosity line took
I just started my rices water challenge and I’m excited.
Thank you so much for braking those shea moisture deep conditioners down, because I love the JBCO deep conditioner but I thought it was a protein DC. I never tried that SM in the blue container. Will have to try it because my hair is color treated and I need protein to keep it strong.
The manuka honey and Mafura intensive hydration masque is my all time favorite. The JBCO line was #1 until I tried that line.
The manuka honey protein treatment is not an every washday treatment. It's a decent protein treatment. 😊
🦋 Been watching for years! Trusted product reviewer 💜
Tfs! ☺️
I love the Manukau Honey anything. My hair is fine and curly. Products weigh it down. Still looking. 🇺🇸
UHHH! How can someone rate Shea Moisture deep conditioners and leave out the best one? The Manuka and Mafura is the BEST!
Thanks for this review!
At t.j. maxx!!!!!??? 10.3oz!!!!??? Now you're about to have me stalking lol
@@ninacardoza2005 LOL I know that's right 😄😄
Thank you my love for the review :)
I use Shea Moisture I've noticed my hair is much softer I deep condition once a week
I don’t usually comment but just in case someone had the same problem as me if you are protein sensitive make sure u check shea moisture ingredients because majority of them have hidden proteins even in products where it says it’s moisturizing ( the manuka honey line ) & etc
I am very sensitive. How's you still need proteins and should do a treatment on a regular basis whether it is once every 4-8 weeks.
Interestingly the super fruit 10-1 does horrible on my hair. It just sits there and does not do much. Appreciate the reviews, as this brand is widely available and they go on sale quite often. It’s budget friendly when you catch them on sale.
Sorry I misunderstood Glad it’s not the Shea Manuka that’s discontinued. I also loved the 10-N-1 by them.
I've tried them all and my recommendations are exactly the same for the exact same reasons..
