    sounds great I’ve got the the acoustic Noel used a lot in 94 especially in the writing of most early demos the 1992 epiphone ej200 Korean models sounds great too

    Dude! Great job on staining the fretboard! Looks so cool! You absolutely did a fantastic presentation! Greetings from Hollywood California!

    Fantastic video mate. I'm a big Oasis fan too - it's pretty much all I play on acoustic. I'm currently looking into getting a Gibson J200 Studio Rosewood. Your SJ200 looks great. Are you happy with it? The work you did on the fretboard worked perfectly. Cheers. Tom

      Thanks a lot Tom! Same here. Yes totally worth it. I'd always felt with acoustics that after about a grand it's all just in your head. But the sound of this is totally undeniably better than cheaper guitars. It just sounds so full and rich. It's a great recording guitar. Get yourself one for sure!

      @@AlfieVaughanMusic Thanks Alfie. My local GuitarGuitar store has an SJ200 Studio Rosewood in stock (but no walnuts) so I'll go and check it out. Where did you buy yours from? Sounds like a decent price!

    Currently I have the Taylor 114e so not too different from your Taylor. Would you say the Gibson is worth the upgrade as its 3 times the price? Great video BTW, I've just subbed.

      @AlfieVaughanMusic  Год назад

      Thanks Lewis! When I bought it I didn't think it would be that different but as soon as I played it I realised it's in a totally different league. Definitely worth the extra money. The range in tone from full bass to sparkly high end is really amazing. It's a night and day difference. I sold my Taylor 3 days after this guitar arrived because I realised I'd never play it again 😂

    burst !!! RULES .... gorgeous guitar !
    what kind strings and picks do you use ? if i may ask ....

    • @AlfieVaughanMusic
      @AlfieVaughanMusic  Год назад +1

      Lovely isn't it! I use Dunlop .46mm picks. They're pretty thin which I really like. It means you can hit the guitar strings hard with lots of attack without the sound being too crazy. I find it quite difficult to get a tone I like playing with more rigid picks

    • @AlfieVaughanMusic
      @AlfieVaughanMusic  Год назад

      Oh sorry and strings... I usually use elixir coated medium or light gauge strings on my acoustics as I find they last a lot longer while still sounding good :)

  • @lastcall9998
    @lastcall9998 Год назад

    So, is it loud, great projection? You don't fight the guitar? Sounds at the end the mike can't take all of the sound of the guitar, as if it's trying to compress it (in a very random way).

    • @AlfieVaughanMusic
      @AlfieVaughanMusic  Год назад +1

      Yeah it's very loud. A lot louder than other acoustics I've played and owned (in a nice way). Yes that mic is a shotgun mic usually used on film sets. It's not really made for music. Probably not the best choice for this demo. If you listen to any of my recent videos you can see what it sounds like properly recorded. It's really nice 👌

    • @AlfieVaughanMusic
      @AlfieVaughanMusic  Год назад

      Thanks! I actually ordered the rosewood one too but cancelled the order because it was more red in some photos that I thought 😅 the tuners are official Gibson tuners. I just prefer the 50s ones than the Grover ones so I swapped them over :)

    I think you should have died the bridge to match the fretboard... that would have made it killer!!

    • @AlfieVaughanMusic
      @AlfieVaughanMusic  Год назад

      Good call but I didn't want to risk sanding the bridge because it's so close to the very soft nitro of the body 😂 can't repair that if I scuffed it
