0:40 For anyone curious, that watch is a Piaget Polo 8673. It's a small 31mm quartz watch in 18K gold. It’s only 5mm thick and I’m assuming that was the big selling point when it was originally released. A used one online might go for about $4,600 and a new one might be pushing $8K. He wasn't lying when he said a "hell of a nice watch". Too flash for my tastes, but cool nonetheless.
I have always been curious about that watch ever since my first time seeing this movie (in a theater on a high school double-date) when I was 17. I was and still am captivated by the black/white vertical lines on the gold facing, so thanks for the information about this watch - definitely out of my price range! One more thing, it was only until this year that I realized that the opening shot of the high-rise building with vertical lines is shown at the same angle as the watch from Neal's point of view. The watch design is uncannily similar to the architectural design of the facade of the office building, so I am guessing that that was intentional on Hughes' part but a detail that I missed all these years.
The police officer that stopped them on the highway and impounded the vehicle came out in the '70s on the TV show, Lavern and Shirley as part of a duo Lenny and Squiggy. He also came out in the Clue movie. I'm sure he's done a lot of stuff, but those are the ones I know him in.
An underrated Turkey day movie for next year - Home For The Holidays, with Holly Hunter and RDJ, directed by Jodie Foster Also Son-in-Law, with Pauly Shore 🤠
"That's one of the ugliest cars I've ever seen! What is that?" Can't speak for the model, but the color is the infamous 'metallic pea' from National Lampoon's Vacation 🤣🤣🤣
it gives me a warm feeling in my heart when i watch a reaction to this, and the reactor isnt gushing on about how great del is the entire time.. it also keeps the butt kissers below under control too.. happy thanksgiving
I Watch This Movie Every Thanksgiving That's a Tradition In my family,R.I.P To John Candy & John Hughes Still Miss You Both,Steve Martin Is The Best 💯, Great Reactions & Happy Holidays ⛄❄️ Ladies ❤❤❤❤
“What happened to his eye?” There is a deleted scene when the cop pulls them over and the cop tells him they actually drove past Chicago. Neil got upset with Dell and punched him in the eye.
Love your reactions! The best John Hughes film that no reactors (that I watch) has done yet is "Some Kind of Wonderful" It more of a drama, but a dang good drama love story. I'm a dude, yet I've watched it over and over again for decades. It's that good!
Good selection Ash. More, excellent John Hughes films (written by and/or directed by): - THE BREAKFAST CLUB - WEIRD SCIENCE - FERRIS BUELLER’S DAY OFF - UNCLE BUCK (my fav John Candy film) - SOME KIND OF WONDERFUL
Also Mr. Mom (RIP Martin Mull & Teri Garr), National Lampoon's Vacation, Sixteen Candles, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, Pretty In Pink, Curly Sue and Dutch.
Compared to the other major holidays, there aren't a lot of movies set around Thanksgiving. My personal favorite Thanksgiving movie is Piece of April, but I've never seen anyone react to it.
The world's best-selling watch is the Casio F-91W . Selling about 3 million units a year. Casio sold 8.2 million G-Shock watches in the 2021 fiscal year, a decrease from the 10 million units sold in 2020. A show of hands would statistically show that many people watching your video are wearing a Casio right now or at least own one. No, I don't work for Casio, but It's a bit puzzling how anyone has not heard of Casio watches.
Hmm 🤔. Been a while since I’ve been here. What’s sup, Ashly and Jenna. Glad to see you two ladies are doing well. Keep up the good work. Is it just me or does Ashly look easy on the eyes though? I think her and Jenna’s chemistry is both nerdy and tomboyish which is fun to watch.
There was a diffent version that the studio cut out due to time. But in the story Neil punches Dell in the eye when they get pulled over by the police for speeding and find out that Dell has been driving in the wrong direction and they are further past their destination then they were before. Also in the original story line Dell eats Thanksgiving dinner with Neil and his family. Studio had it cut for time
A movie called "The Spanish Prisoner" has Steve Martin in a top, serious role as well as Ed O'Neill in a small serious role. It was weird watching Ed in a serious role. I only heard Al Bundy talking😅
Trivia about DARTH Vader’s mask I bet you never noticed. It’s not all black. It was painted ASYMMETRICALLLY with gunmetal gray to make it show up better. Look at it. The left cheek is gray while the right one is black and gray around the left eye.
One of the funniest road trip buddy comedy movies ever made!

In 1974, Casio released their first digital wristwatch.

He was also in Better Call Saul.
It sounds like youve never seen The Great Outdoors. A John Candy classic with Dan Akroyd. Uncle Buck is another highly recommended.

Steve Martn was also funny in Father of the Bride from 1991 and father of the bride part 2 from 1995. both hilarious.
NYC did and still does have a bus system, but he's an out-of-towner w/ money and needs to get somewhere with no waiting and no stops in between.
John Hughes was involved in so many great movies… home alone guy hahaha

John Hughes and John Candy , both greatly missed. ❤
22:34 In reference to Cool Running movie in 1993.
Check out his first film,The Jerk and All of Me with Lily Tomlin, which shows off his physical humor as well
I luv jenna!! 😁 she adds so much depth. You two compliment each other nicely. Love this channel!
Please check out an almost decade younger Steve Martin in "The Jerk". STILL with the white hair!
30:10 You have clearly not seen Airplane! (1980)
You should. Popular movie for reactions.

I always wondered why they were being stopped by a Wisconsin State Patrol
Thank you ! I thought I was going crazy 😅

HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS is one of my favorite Thanksgiving movies with Holly Hunter.
Classic movie…my cousin Vinny, nuns on the run, two other great films.
Kevin Bacon in the opening is in She's Having A Baby 😉

If you enjoyed Home Alone, try watching Uncle Buck. It's with Macaulay Culkin & John Candy.
The cop is in better call saul
Michael McKean.
@@seanbumstead1250 I may have to start that one soon since I’ve already seen Breaking Bad.
I think you would like THIS IS SPINAL TAP with Michael McKean. He was also in the sitcom Laverne and Shirley

Win Ben Stein's Money. No, no debit cards in '87. You guys are fun to watch with. 🙂
You MUST do It’s Wonderful Life (1946). It’s the best Christmas movie ever made!
Family Guy used a lot of jokes from this movie
Hope you two are having an great and awesome day ❤
