Peace god. Shock Gee’s little brother used to dress like Humpty Hump for public appearances. He looks just like Shock Gee.. 😂😂😂
Yeah I was gonna say that his brother would occasionaly dress up in the character too.
The Ice- T story should be animated. 💯
Yeah, like that Doc Ellis story: ruclips.net/video/_vUhSYLRw14/видео.htmlsi=BzDNadOBMl5-3s0v
That would be dope!
First hip hop show I ever went to was King Tee opening for Ice-T & Rhyme Syndicate here in Ottawa, Ontario Canada on Ice's Power tour in '89 at age 16. What a show!
montrealer living in ottawa here. you know slick rick's gonna be in town in may right? i'm definitely going.
@@misterhappy5462 wow, thanks for the heads up!
@@tobhomott no prob bro. if you end up going, come say hi. i'm the 6'2" 300lbs guy...can't miss me. 👍🏽
@@misterhappy5462 maybe I will 👍
I guarantee Shock G drew those characters. Little known secret, Shock was one hell of a cartoonist and illustrator. RIP Shock!!😢💯❤️
Facts. I believe he did a lot of the cover art for some of the singles and albums as well.
That Shock G / Humpty story is FUNNY. I had to pleasure of meeting Shock G in 2008 after a show in Phoenix. Dude was SO HIGH that he didnt know which city he was in. Very cool bro tho. Soooo underated on the production. Rest in Power Shock...
😂😂😂 👊🏾
BIG UP W.C. From Low Profile With DJ Aladdin! KING 🤴🏾 TEE and Cypress Hill. Peace ✌🏿 Kenny! Been a Minute. Shock G Was Genius (RIP) Rhyme Syndicate Salute 🫡
Love them old school stories...Thanks K.P. ☮️
Now, the "Have we met?" and "...Shock G mentioned you" part was funny! *Good story DJKP!*
LOL!
Miss my good friend Shock Gee. Rip to a legend. Peace and love all the way from Youngstown,Ohio
My first fav groups BDP, Public Enemy, and NWA. I'm 48 yrs old now and still listen to them like it's new.
The Story with the Boo-Yaa Tribe had me in tear cause I can imagine it. I remember them Brothers.
LOL!
I saw digital underground do a show and pull out those big face signs. I had forgot all about that!
Rest in power Shock G
I was at several BDP shows in L.A. but not the one with Ice T in the mosh pit. My manager at my job at the time was cool with Willie D (RIP) and anytime BDP was in town I was there. Shout out to you, KP and the whole BDP posse!
R.I.P. my dude Willie D
B Real is a nice guy. His stage name is very fitting because he comes off as a very sincere person. Be Real is real 😊💪🏾
I'm telling you, I'm from Brooklyn & some of the best people I've ever known are from LA. A lot of people call them fake but not my dearest friends & family from LA. Just genuine, sincere, loving & beautiful people. They all gave me so much love & I appreciate every last one of them for it. I truly miss them & LA.
Kenny you have some great historical hip hop stories thank you 🫡🙏🏾
Thanks for watching.
Big ups Ras Kass and the Links.
I'm from Brooklyn but lived in LA from 91-97. My step dad is from South Central & my bro even went to North Hollywood HS. I can say unequivocally that LA has some of the best people I've ever had the privilege of knowing. They are so genuine, loving & respectful. I miss & love all of them, especially my step-dad. RIP Craig. You'll always be my hero!
Great stories...really loved the Shock G story...what a talented dude! Good looking out @DJ Kenny Parker! ✌️
Glad you enjoyed it!
😂 I’ve heard of the boo yaa tribe but I’ve never seen them
Ice T story the best too funny
Hi KP! I giggled at the Shock G segment 😂😂 “Have we met?” Aaaaaahahaaaa
LOL!!!
What up KP!! Representing East Oakland. Keep doing what you doing 👏
ESO
There's a Digital Underground video where they both appeard together lol
Yo, Kenny, great stories!
Let's have other cities next: Detroit. What stories do you have for us?
Seattle: Did you ever meet Sir Mix A Lot?
Talk about Southern Cities: Dallas, Texas. Houston. Atlanta. Memphis. Miami.
Shock G used to have his brother dress up as the Humpty Hump character during shows and television appearances. People would get so confused seeing Shock and Humpty together.
That was another classic story. I remember watching KRS at a show at the El Rey during that era and he was tossing autographed tennis balls to the crowd. I wish I still had mine.
Coming from the west coast. South central LA. All three story’s was beautiful. Big shot out to the east coast. THE MECCA OF HIP HOP. MUCH LOVE ALWAYS.
Great stories about the west coast!
ILL Stories💯. Much Respects Kenny Parker✊🏾
Respect!!!
I appreciate you for not having that same bias hatred for the West Coast. I am OFFICIALLY subscribed! Thank you.
I’m so glad you made this video DJ Kenny Parker. Speaking of the west coast, I was curious to know how Kenny Parker Show 2001 came about. I’d imagine KRS flipping out at the idea of another emcee remixing his lyrics but listening to the song apparently KRS gave Xzibit his blessing. Hope he got yours too. What did you think of the final product? Also there was a rapper back in the 90’s from the west coast that dissed KRS named Tweedy Bird Loc on the songs called “Outta Here” and “F The South Bronx This Is Compton”. Did anybody in the BDP crew know of this guys existence back then or years later? He passed away a few years ago but I was always curious if KRS at least heard about this guy and his disses.
Since I didn't produce or write the song, I had no idea about Xzibit's version of "The Kenny Parker Show" until it came out. Imagine my surprise, LOL! I never heard of Twitty Bird Loc.
Great Shock G story ... RIP to a Legend
Thanks!
"'We forgot our turntables, can we borrow yours" that shits real hip hop
For real
Before he was an icon and movie star, Tupac was doing the “Humpty Dance” with Oakland’s own funkadelic freaks of the industry, taking on roadie work as a stopgap measure while Shock G and manager Atron Gregory shopped a demo that had future single “Trapped.” In his years with the group, Digital Underground would give Tupac his first tour (with Big Daddy Kane), his first released verse (“Same Song”) and his first movie role (1991’s Nothing but Trouble). They produced and rapped on his first Top 10 single, “I Get Around.” However, as Shock points out, “It’s a lucky thing in the other direction. Pac discovered us, man, we didn’t discover his ass. No way.”
Great Hip Hop stories!! They bring back great memories of the Golden Era of Hip Hop music!! It’s great to hear about the respect East Coast & West Coast Hip Hop artist had for each other!! Oh WC is pronounced Dub (W)C!! West Coast legend!!
Yo! I'm in heavy traffic trying to hold my composure while laughing!
Not an epic fail bro. They went to great lengths to separate Humpty & Shock G. Worst kept secret in the industry😂
Best story of ICE T I've heard. Thanks Kenny. Just found your channel. I been down with BDP since Criminal Minded
My Brother Kenny much darker. One of my favorite verses. Bx love I’m from down the block lived on 167 Clay by the steps 170 and Wash Much Love My G
These stories are dope and you sure know how to tell it… cause it’s like I’m there seeing the whole get down.
Thanks!!!
Well done, West in the building 🏢 Lovin the stories, I most definitely sub'd💯👌
Much appreciated
That Boo-Ya Tribe story was the best 😂😂😂😂
Thanks!
🙂 can i borrow your turntables? 🤨 AND GIVE ME YOUR SANDWICH!😂🤣
What's up KP? I am from the Bay Area in Northern California. My parents and some relatives of mines used to live in the Bronx on E 169th 🇯🇲🇬🇩🇹🇹🇬🇾🇺🇸. Your brother KRS-ONE is one of greatest who ever touched the 🎤🎼🎶. RIP Shock G and Tupac who were both born in NYC but started Rappin in California.
Wassup!!!!
I laughed when you threw a picture of Debo up during your Boo-Yah Tribe Story. 😂
LOL!!!! They ALL looked like Deebo.
Legit couldn't miss an episode of these yarns, it feels like I'm chilling with my cousin in his room
LOL, thanks!
😂😂 that Ice T story was crazy! I could listen to these all day!!
Thanks!
@@djkennyparker no problem man looking forward to the next video! ✌🏽
I have seen Boo-Yaa too.
Dope show. 💯 Gangsters.
But Backstage they were completely cool and laid back. Great moments.
But I still have the Tinnitus from their concert.
I used to hang out with shock g on occasion in Tampa with Keny K. I used to be part of some of the radio shows on 88.5. I djed a skating rink with him. I carried the records in my car for that because they didn't fit in K's prelude. I was 16. My first car 😂
Big up Ice T. Some 80s LA shit.
Any 2pac stories?
Great job DJ KP from Sac Town 916.
Coming from San Diego here
These are hilarious and yeah Boo Yaa Tribe were big dudes with funky music. As a kid it took me until Yo mtv raps to figure out humpty and shock were the same dude
RIP SHOCK G great story Big 🆙 ICE T Maaad Ting 🔥🔥🔥 love the Boo Yas
I was fortunate enough to see Shock G perform at a Murs show years ago
Hilarious stories bro lol. Keep them coming. Quick question! Was there ever a minor beef between Krs and Ice Cube. I heard y'alls song "We in There" was initially directed at Ice Cube.
Yeah they had one. Cube took a shot at BDP on the " Amerikkka's Most Wanted" album.
Cube said "Some Rapper's Are Heaven Sent but Self Destruction don't pay the Fcking Rent" I think was the rhyme
@@DJGary0910 Thanks bro
@@theoriginal668 Thanks
Thank you for everything Kenny...🫡 Salute!!
Salute!
King Tee with the Alcoholics is like Vodka with ice.
Big up King Tee!!!
It's funny how we used to chill at the most random place, ran into someone, and then end up at a party HAHA
LOL! Yep
I have photos from Digital Underground with the cartoon faces, KRS included, from a show in Sweden back in 1989.
I remember working at sound waves (brick and mortar music store) when The BooYaa Tribe album came out. Being a wrestling fan and seeing the picture of the group and their size, I assumed they were Samoan.
In the 90s there used to be a photo with Shock G and some guy dressed as Humpty Hump that first appeared in the Source Magazine I believe.
That photo had ppl I know debating for years 😂
LOL!
Love the story with Shock G! Humpty Hump maintaining kayfabe like an absolute pro
Great Booya Tribe story 😂
Thanks!
Shoutout from the Westcoast kenny!
Its Dub C my eastcoast brotha love your youtube videos.

Thank you!
WHEN IS KRS-ONE COMING ON YOUR CHANNEL ?
Not surprised at all that Ice-T was in a mosh pit. That was around the beginning of the Body Count era.
Lmao Ice T is a wild dude 🤣 Shock G (R.I.P.) told me Humpty was at the mall hat shopping lol
LOL!!!
great story haha
Pure gold, as usual. I got me one of those Boo-Ya Tribe 12"s somewhere.

Another great video, Kenny👍🏽 I'm only 12, but I find myself playing BDP tracks almost every day.
That is awesome!
Peace Kenny. Where do you spin at during the weekend in New York? I like to come and see you spin live. G.Gordon hit me up whenever. Just moved to NYC, DJ, Respect the culture✊🏾💯
Lol....that's a 30 something year old question still being asked today ....of course "Humpty" was "Shock G.," But sometimes "Shock" would take.his brother with him in stage to play "Humpty" to throw off suspicion. But ultimately most of the time it's "Shock".
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
This video was dope!
L.A. in tha 🏡 Shout out DJ Kenny Parker! Have you covered the confusion between KRS & Ice Cube over his "Self-Destruction does NOT pay the f**king rent" line from "Rollin' with The Lench Mob"? I remember KRS aired him out in the Source mag back in '90/'91. I'll comb the archives 2 sew if you addressed it already 🫡
Shalom House of Yashra’al!👋❤️🙏🏿
Thanks Kenny! For all those who view this, match or beat my $5 donation; let’s show our appreciation for these stories!
As always, Thank You!!!!
🔥🔥🔥🔥 Again 📹
Thanks!
Great content!

Thanks!
You're a good dude KP! Much love to you and Shock G 💜🎶
Thanks!
Sooooo funny!! Real "Method Acting" huh? 😂😂
LOL! Yep
Are you sure it wasn't Shock G's brother?
He would play Humpty on occasion. Check the performance of We're All In the Same Gang on Arsenio.
It was Shock G Bro.
Haha great stories as always.
Glad you enjoyed it
BDP Possie 🤟🏾✊🏾
So will say through a business venture I meant shock G in my hometown Sacramento of course everybody was calling him Humpty. Then know him super well but we got to do some things super cool super humble the girls love him that's for sure and honestly half the reason why I like to hang out with him. Also met B Real now without saying much I believe he might have had family in Sactown but once again super cool. These guys are my heroes weather there if they're still with us or if they're not. It's always cool to meet royalty and they're actually cool cuz I've met some that were super wack.
