Say what you will about the Brony fandom (and many have and will continue to do so), but it kickstarted some really impressive content creators, musicians and artists. Look no further than 2manySnacks - or 2Snacks - who is considered to be one of the most prolific animators in the Hololive fandom, he recieved just as much appreciation back in the day for his '2 Best Sisters Play' parody series.
There may have been a time in my youth where I scoffed at the Bronies, but they surely came back at me with a vengeance since 2ManySnacks was literally my introduction into the vtuber community about a year ago…
It’s not that surprising she was into FIM, it’s also not surprising her favorite character was Rarity. That being said, her saying Fluttershy is her favorite now makes me incredibly happy.
I appreciate how The Exploring Series, a channel who covers a lot of dark lore (SCP and Lovecraft stuff), did an April Fools day video where he, completely seriously, covered the lore of My Little Pony in his usual style
No WONDER Fauna quickly caught up to Mumei and Kronii as my favorites in the council. I also thought she sounded like Fluttershy a little bit and to hear a spot on impression just cements it.
This is once in a while that I see MLP clip once again even I still like it but somehow I didn’t watch it for a year now, I guess. The new gen is quite different and doesn’t have a good feeling like G4, MLP was always like my whole life in highschool. After the new gen, my brother who is not brony at all introduce me korone clip and I start joining hololive fandom to find out that Fauna also a Pegasister. Man, I miss those day when everyone is talking about MLP. This clip remind me of those time, so thanks.
Man, that pony tangent brought me so many good memories... All it was missing was Fauna confessing she used to read pony fan-fics... which she totally could have.... oh shoot, now I must know what was her main ship....
It starts to wander after awhile. I think it lost a lot of its possible tension when they introduced another pony who could basically do whatever was needed when it was needed. Sort of like a Pony Batman. On one hand, I'm glad she was never made an Alicorn, but on the other making her just as powerful as Twilight while still being a Unicorn drove me nutty. I liked her better when her backstory was that she was horrible at magic, so she had to be smart and crafty.
@@BNuts Hm. I guess I'll have xlcross that horse when she appears. I'm guessing that isn't just Starlight then? Don't tell me but I guess my mind isn't absorbing that message correctly. XD
Pretty sure fauna was talking about TLT - Discord remix, and not A Glass of Water. Both are bangers tho EDIT: OK YEA I SAW THE EDIT SO IM EDITING THIS TOO
I remember watching the first half of the first FiM series. I like Tara Strong's voice acting and have since I was a kid, so the Twilight one was my favourite. Followed by the white, snooty, one. Didn't at first, but she grew on me over the few episodes I watched. So, I suppose, Unicorn supremacy?
It's cool she was into MLP. People really unfairly judge people who watched that show based on a minority of oddities. But then I like cartoons in general so I don't think anyone will take my opinion seriously lol.
Pretty sure that all Pony tribes had a form of magic. Unicorns had overt magic, some general like light and telekinesis, but another one or two specifically referencing their talent. Unless you were Twilight Sparkle, Sunset Shimmer, or Starlight Glimmer. Hm, themed names. Pegasi could fly and manipulate the weather, that was their magic. Their wings were definitely not large enough to support their weight in flight, even if they were aerodynamic and had hollow bones like birds. And they're not bees, so... As for Earth Ponies, their magic related to their physical strength and ability to grow things really fast and hardy. Which sucked if you weren't a farmer or couldn't farm for whatever reason. Pinkie Pie's family were rock farmers, as I recall. Do not ask how you farm rocks. Pinkamina Diane Pie... why she has a human name as a middle name was never even touched on. Did anyone else even have a middle name? As for Alicorns, it's never specifically addressed, but they would seem to have had all three tribal magic in them. Theoretically for this to work without them clashing, the different magic might resonate with each other, making Alicorn magic more powerful than the original version, which might explain how one Alicorn could raise and lower the sun and moon, while it used to take whole groups of Unicorns, who would then have exhausted their entire magic supply permanently. Even Starswirl. I also theorized that Discord was part of the Q Continuum. Part of the reason for his involvement in Equestria was maintaining the balance of things, as a Q would. The other? He probably saw what fun Q had with Picard, and wanted to do the same. His Picard being Twilight, of course. John de Lancie wasn't the only _Trek_ cast to voice an _FiM_ character. William Shatner also came in to voice an old pear farmer. 'The Perfect Pear' was a highly emotional episode. Again, in a show centered around undersized cartoon horses.
4:14 "Okay. I've got this high savage look for you... It's a totally live ensemble with a little like glitz and sparkle that'll make the whole squad go. Whoa... that Pony's Woke." This is the only line I can accept.
She must've stopped watching at about Season 3 or 4 (out of 9 seasons of FiM) that she didn't recall Twilight being a princess. I'm almost certain she didn't pass Season 5, because anyone who does would have something to say about Starlight.
The thing is, I feel like being Holofans will be seen as just as cringe in 10 years as MLP is now. Whatever young teens are into becomes cringe when they hit their mid 20s.
Tbf, the Brony fandom exists as a bit of a unique case, since the bulk of its image wasn't teenage, but fully grown men, for a media that literally existed to be aimed at little girls. If you're being VERY generous, you can liken it to fandoms of other well made children's shows around the same time, but, again, given how blatant MLP existed as a toy brand for Hasbro to sell to little girls and girls entering the very early years of puberty, FiM's surprise garnering of fully grown adult men fanbases was unique in it's ridiculousness. VTubing is a growth/advancement of the wider anime fandom, gaming fandom, streaming culture, idol/star culture, and to an extent tech culture. Sure it'll be cringe to those who are young and into it rn, but VTubing will itself grow as the years go on (even if it sheds its current anime niche it has rn). The Brony fandom can't do that, it's forever locked into a weird counter-culture since it started, it was cringe from the get-go. And I say all this as someone who was in the Brony fandom in the early years.
Although, people who don't watch anime already think it's equally cringe. (Like, if they looked over at your phone and saw a high-pitched anime girl talking about MLP, for example.)
I mean im gonna say it…I watched MLP:FIM Ngl I was skeptical at first but It had a nice plot to it which surprised me I enjoyed it but would not watch it again imo

That's a bit unfair. Most MLP fans are fine, it's just the weird ones always get more attention. No one's gonna report or talk about the positive side of any fandom, it doesn't get clicks.

Great music producers got their jump from it too, as did artists (kinda like apricot), and even game devs with Them's Fightin' Herds.
i wish he'd finish g4 was pretty rad
Me getting into 2Snacks because I was a 2 Best Friends fan. The good old days
I know some holo talents that have had their start in the fandom. It was a great place to make a start in content creating.
Fauna: I think Fluttershy would be my favorite now
Chat: But Fauna... you are Fluttershy
I hate that it took me 3 months to understand this joke.
I get it, she's a tree!
She's been holding this in for over a year and the intrusive thoughts finally won
Fauna is just Fluttershy in Vtuber form.
Mm. She could collab with Vannamelon.
"I'd like to be a tree."
-Fluttershy
It’s not that surprising she was into FIM, it’s also not surprising her favorite character was Rarity. That being said, her saying Fluttershy is her favorite now makes me incredibly happy.
That one piece of fanart of her cuddling with Fluttershy is now technically canon
Fauna reminds me of Fluttershy if Fluttershy went to university, got over her anxiety, maybe hung out with some stoners. And just came out kinda cool.
Honestly fauna was so real for this
I'm honestly surprised it took her this long to talk about MLP:FiM lol
I don't think anyone was surprised she watched it 😂
as a pegasister this made me happy ^^
I appreciate how The Exploring Series, a channel who covers a lot of dark lore (SCP and Lovecraft stuff), did an April Fools day video where he, completely seriously, covered the lore of My Little Pony in his usual style
Surprisingly, MLP’s lore (if we include some of the comics and other extraneous stuff like EQG) is pretty solid.
Especially the fact that the Twi of the EQG universe turned into a Demon of magic in the third movie.
Fun times
That one second of Flutter Fauna cracks me up.
No WONDER Fauna quickly caught up to Mumei and Kronii as my favorites in the council. I also thought she sounded like Fluttershy a little bit and to hear a spot on impression just cements it.
We all know, deep down, that Fauna was a Fluttershy x Rainbow Dash hardcore shipper. Search your feelings, you know it's true.
I'm more of an omniship shipper, polyamory is great
PinkieDash 4 Life, till the day I die.
She’s a Twirari shipper. I feel it in my bones

Hmm..
You know what I’m actually not super surprised about this.
I've never watched a single piece of the MLP franchise, but I know "Discord" by TLT by heart. I understand your pain, Fauna.
"Discord" is a universal banger
D’aww she was a pegasister
It's been 11 years and comments are still saying Discord is only by TLT. Give my girl Odyssey some love 😭
Aye, he only remixed it. That was not the original version.
We live in a society where even girls are judged for liking ponies smh
Can relate to Fauna more often than not 😂
I still need to finish FiM. Stopped watching at start of season 6 for no real reason XD. It's a genuinely good show.

"Dragon-cunny-quest?"
Discord was definitely after that fluttercunny.

Seriously, Glass of Water has to be tied for the best song throughout the entire show.

Jesus how did I miss this??? What a revelation.
Honestly, not even surprised that she was a pegasister
