Doctor Rassman is such a kind man, he provides a free consultation for people simply for emailing him and is constantly active on reddit answering questions for people going through hair loss and considering hair transplants. Don't think anyone so accomplished has donated more of their time to the average person.
I just want to remark what a huge journey dr.Gary went through and what an amazing milestone this interview is. Thank you for all the education that you've been putting out for the past several years, it really helped me to start pushing back on my hair loss. I hope some day soon i'll start making enough money to fly from Russia to the NYS and finally get a transplant in the City facial plastics clinic. Ещё раз огромное спасибо за вашу работу и привет вам из Санкт-Петербурга)
I really appreciate this interview. This had shifted my considerations of seeking treatment overseas to really sitting down and studying surgeons with general surgical backgrounds than simply those “specialized in hair transplant surgery”. I sure hope this conversation includes women’s hair transplants too as I understand our considerations vary differently from male patterned hair loss
I did not think I was going to be able to finish listening all the way to end, but I kept listening and Dr. Gary carried conversation well and Dr. Rassman with vast knowledge and experience made it interesting to listen. Thank you for such a educational video.
wow... that is extremely educational. what an interview not to mention the interviewer and the interviewee top notch. Thank you doctor Rassman for your honest opinion and insight about FUE etc...all the content in this interview is beneficial for anyone considering FUE.
What an amazing interview. I got FUT from an elite surgeon on the west coast. I will be seeing you in the future Dr. Linkov for an eyebrow resotoration. Ive done my research :)
Thank you for such a fascinating, insightful and intelligently crafted interview Doctor Gary. Very interesting on many levels and very positive for the (near) future of hair loss treatment and therapy. Doctor Rassman was so articulate and generous in this conversation. Thank you for all your videos Dr. Gary.
This is a great interview. I find it very informative and I love Dr. Rassman. He’s every patients dream Dr. He really cares about his patients and about making sure patients get the best information out there to help them select what’s best for them.
@@drgarylinkovdo you remember the name Robert Micheal Elliott from Elliott and True ? Dr Elliott is my Dr and good friend . He is not well right now dealing with Lung issues .
it was always a thought of me as to how it all began and now you got to interview the doctor who started it all! great share! thank you to the genius and to Dr Gary for making this possible & by the way happy to see you got your hair back (I must be missing out on quite a few videos but never mind!)
I really appreciate this interview. I've been following the hair loss industry for a while. I tried finasteride over 5 years ago, however, I had side effects and developed stomach issues and allergic reactions to certain foods. I stopped finasteride after a few months. I've been patiently waiting for new treatments to be developed.
Although I appreciate all of Dr Gary's videos, I was not expecting to enjoy this as much as I did! Wow! 😃 This Dr Rassman is an amazing human being! I got such respect and admiration for him through this! His willingness to admit any shortcomings in the technology is such a trust building quality. And his humor is on point! 😂 Thank you for this, Dr. Gary! Very informative and entertaining.
@drgarylinkov Please do a video about ways to address double chin and chubby jowls in younger people (20 to 30 years old). Can you talk about the FaceTite procedure with the InMode radio-frequency device combined with liposuction? I am 25 years old and a plastic surgeon and also a dermatologist proposed this solution to me but I am not sure: InMode FaceTite + liposuction + Morpheus 8 (all combined in one session). This is getting very popular in my country (Romania). I have a normal weight but I have a genetic duble chin and chubby jowls, I would like a more defined jaw with no double chin. I don't know if there are any good ways to achieve that which are not damaging in the long term.
@@maalikserebryakov I am already skinny (as I said in my original comment). If I lose more weight I will be underweight. I am 158 cm (5 ft 2) and I weight 52 kg (114 lbs). At one point I did weight 48 kg (105 lbs) and I still had double chin and chubby jowls.
Holy crap... I read on his own website that a consultation alone with Dr Gary is $500.00!😳 I'm wondering if that fee alone is to separate the time wasters vs the clients that are actually willing to spent upwards of $50,000 for a transplant or not.
Thank you for all your videos. Can you possibly tackle and provide photos of things that can go wrong with vertical restore. I’ve heard about ‘lazy lip’ The lower lip reacting unevenly for a while. I think being open, helps people feel informed and empowered.
Congratulations on the hair growth. You look so healthy with that black fuzz on your head. Hope it grows in as thick as it was in your 20s. I have the opposite problem. My hair grows lots of 2 follicles from the same hair shaft. I know this because the hairs are joined at the root bulb. Sometimes there are 3!! hairs from the same hair shaft. I have thick eyebrows and three rows of eyelashes. what a life 😂🤣
Correction: the founder of hair transplants was Dr. Norman Orentreich, back in 1959. I know, I had a few "plugs" in the crown area done by him in 1980. But FUE was a great advancement and made hair transplants more natural and acceptable.
This is an incredible video, thank you for this interview! I wish there was more focus on the fear of finasteride due to gynecomastia and gynecomastia recurrence after surgery rather than PSF as gynecomastia is a visible possible side effect. no one ever cares to talk about this 😢 it’s my only reason for not taking it yet
While he might have thought up how to do this surgery, Wow what an Ego on this guy , he has solved more problems than any other person on the planet ! According to himself!

Hi dr. Gary, love your work and learning a lot. Can you do a post on eyelash serums, do they promote growth. Here in the UK a product called uklash is popular. What are the key ingredients to look for? Thanks Sue
The issue regarding the hair transplant and hair loss treatment in my country is that lots of "specialists" are just after your money while giving you a short term results. I've seen plenty of people who did hair transplant surgery and after few months the hair falls off without any regrow. And the surgery costs a lot more than the living standards. Doc, is there a way to contact you regarding a hair issue?
I am in my 60’s and the newer drugs would never work on me. I have Crohn’s Disease and I had a full head of hair at age 18 and right after my first major resection surgery I lost all my hair in 6 months. My first surgery had complications with a major infection and I ended up staying in the hospital for 6 weeks in a special room where everyone visiting has to wear a paper suit and a mask. This was in 1975. That was very traumatic losing my hair at that age. Being made fun of really hurt too at that age. I am lucky there is a drug called Humira and it stopped my Crohn’s from doing damage to my small intestine but this was after three major resection surgeries. I started taking Humira in 2008 so it has been 15 years and there has been no sign of my Crohn’s after 6 colonoscopies. I wonder if my Crohn’s and infection was the cause of me losing my hair so fast. Great interview by the way. The doctor sounded like a very smart man. I wonder if he is working on inventing newer clean energy patients.
One important point regarding fue vs fut reality is that fue besides being more in demand is also more profitable for most clinics charging more and the ability to have technicians remove grafts allowing more surgeries to be done in one day. Starting with FUT will give greater graft yield over lifetime besides obtaining hair from best donor zone.
@@migostrigos5436 I have done both with FUE first actually. Result was better with FUT. FUT is not trash especially with those with heavy hair loss as you get more grafts overall from donor area.

Could Bimatoprost (the component in Glaucoma eyedrops, which showed to grow longer and fuller eyelashes as a side-effect) be a potential remedy against hairloss and/or baldness too?? I mean, hairfollicles are hairfollicles, right? I realize that the therapeutic amount will greatly differ and consequently make treatments pretty pricey (for us mere mortals) but I'm sure you could afford it; alternatively, being a licensed doctor, you can probably get yourself a regular prescription from a befriended ophthalmologist [wink wink, nudge nudge]😁), surely it would be worth trying? PS: I'm glad for you that you're growing back your hair but, tbh, I liked you better before (not everyone looks good without their hair, but *you* do): Just my 2-cents...😉
