I'm so excited, I couldn't wait to see the ending results!! This is absolutely AMAZING!! You should share this with some comic geeks !! You done a FANTASTIC job with this..
Now are you going to leave your readers in SUSPENSE....you have to NARRATE Your story!!!!
Thank you ❤️
Great video. Congratulations on your comics. Thank you for the advice
Thank you so much!
Son, your work is addicting, keep it up . AWESOME
I’ll try!
Ooo ty for showing the layout chart! That really helped my brains! Nice looking comic too!
Thank you! Yeah it took me a sec to understand it
Very cool. Really great achievement to complete this. I used to work in print as the print supervisor at officemax and there's a setting on the xerox machine that will make booklets like this for you including a different colored cover page and stapled into the booklet of your size. You just need your artwork in a pdf in the page order and it will figure out the rest. If you want to produce in larger quantities I would recommend trying it out assuming the print specialist there knows how to use this setting of the copier. It's pretty cool.
Thank You! Also that would be amazing! Ill have to look into that. It would save me so much time!
Congrats! First comic, awesome ♥️
Thank you so much, I appreciate it!
1:23 I did not know that!I’m wanting to do a mini comic myself and got all my answers from this video so thank you for sharing it!
No problem! Im glad it helped! Let me know if you have anymore questions. I’d be happy to help.
@@DoomsayerDesigns awesome!
Yes, bone folder is correct. Great video..I remember learning this in art school. I did a bathing suit layout. It was fun and a little confusion. lol I still have it.
Thank you! Haha that’s great. I’d love to see that!
awesome!
Thank you!
Awesome! Congratulations on getting the first one done!
Thank you! Hopefully I can finish the rest!
@@DoomsayerDesigns you will 👍
@@amyhawk2006 I appreciate your faith in me 🤣
“I know I can do this at least once!” Best statement ever. lol PS: nice art!
Haha thank you so much!
I really enjoyed this comic, Jake! Great work. The story, perspective, and illustrations were awesome. Looking forward to issue 2.
Thank you so much! I’m really glad you enjoyed it. Hopefully I will have issues two ready for sale at the end of July
I did a video on making minis too. Mine was doing an 8 pager out of one sheet of paper.
Awesome! I have seen those before and I love them.
Yesssssss! So excited for this!
I hope you’ll like it!

@@DoomsayerDesigns omg u responded
@@osmancaliphate Ha! I always respond if I'm able!
@@DoomsayerDesigns Honestly I love your comics you should do one about vampires or something
@@osmancaliphate well shucks, thank you so much! I have a dracula story I wrote years ago that I’ve never used. I may do that one day. I need to finish this one first though haha
congrats on getting the comic finished 😀 12 pages is a lot of work, Kirby started just as small
I'm lazy and just use indesign to layout book pages. i know you can do it with clip studio too, but havent gotten that far into that program
(yep, its a bone folder 😉)
Haha thank you so much!I was pretty excited to finish even if it was only 12 pages
I thought it's all useless calculations until I realized what it really means. It's not meant to be bound and then hand drawn page by page. it's meant to be drawn digitally, and then printed on double-ppage double-sided sheets. That's why all that math is needed, so that all pages could be arranged with each sheet havingtwo complementary halves in order to be bound like a notebook rather than like a book.
You got it!
When I first saw the Comic and you said that you've drawin it, my brain goes "buy it, buy it,buy it" XD
Love your Artstyle
Thank you so much! I just sold out of the first batch. I’ll have more ver soon though.
That’s weird about the stickers. I have plenty on there. You have to select them from the drop down box. Try and see if that works Etsy.me/3uyHp0x
@@DoomsayerDesigns Omg I'm stupid >.<
The link is working, and I can see the Stickers now...Thank you
@@bluepandadrawings No worries! 😁
Do you only sell it on Etsy? Might you be coming out with a PDF of your comics? Feel embarrassed asking, but shipping costs more than $10 bucks to Canada.
Shipping...dang you! 😬
No that’s totally understandable! I don’t have a pdf yet but I should in the next few days hopefully. And yeah, the last one I shipped to Canada was about 15 bucks. As soon as I get a pdf I’ll put in on the Etsy store and let you know ASAP.
Thanks so much!
I tried ordering a fantagraphics omnibus once. The shipping cost more to me the book… yay Canada post, maybe if they strike again they will get better?
This is the video how I found you Jake.
Awesome! I need to do more comic content. It’s my favorite
What website did you use to shrink yours down? And which way did you draw your pages on the 11x17? Both panels on the paper horizontally, or one panel on the paper vertically? Sorry if it’s a complicated question
No worries! I actually didn’t use a website I just used a program called sign lab to scale down the pages to 50% and put them on a piece of 8.5x11 copier paper, but you Could use any photos editing program like photoshop. As for the orientation, two portrait (vertical) 11x17 boards at 50% will fit, side by side, on an 8.5x11 piece of copier paper.
Let me know if that doesn’t answer your question. 😁
Thank you so much! Much appreciated😁
How do you make that cover though?
I drew it out on 11x17 bristol board then sized it down 50%. The lettering is done digital.
The paper is just like green cardstock I bought online. It doesnt have to be hardstock I just preferred it.
