- How to create a well-written, professional, and winning Capability Statement to grow your small business? How to be successful in the Government Contracting Marketplace?
In this training video, I want you to understand the importance of a Capability Statement as the key to your small business or organization. The Capability Statement is the marketing material that you’re going to use and customize for each agency.
Having a good Capability Statement you can take this with you in your industry days, you can take this when your visit with the Program Managers, you take this when you go to different events so you have an opportunity to meet with teaming partners, you can do some joint ventures, you can meet other potential prime contractors, and definitely, when you are talking with these different agencies for Government Contracting, they would definitely want to see a copy of your Capability Statement.

Hello... New sub here. I have a question: I am looking to start a new janitorial service, and I don't have any clients/customers as of yet. How would this type of Capability Statement apply to my business? Or how can I create one, if I haven't got up and running? Please advise. Thanks.
You do not have a business recommend you get started with your state's Small Business Development Center (SBDC). The SBDC Program provides free counseling, training, and technical assistance. Given you are in the ideal phase and you will need to learn all aspects of running a business.
Once you have registered with the SBDC and established your business they will let you know when it is time to draft a capability statement.
@@akieshafoster910 Thanks for the info. For that you just won a new sub!
Do you upload your statement into Sam.Gov and if so how ?
