This reminds me so much of my Dad who was a fan of Marty and many other acts come the 60’s. I went along slightly begrudgingly many years ago to see Marty Wilde , Jim Brown and many others in a concert .. and sarcastic towards the ‘good old times’. All of the acts to be fair were pretty good but when Marty came in I was genuinely blown away by the power and clarity of his live vocal.
Hi Marty, just wanted to say how great I thought you were last night 15/07/22 at the Memorial hall in Frome. We were sat in the front row, (I was with the lady with purple hair) you signed a Cd and pic for me (to Victor). He is 86 and I bought the tickets as a treat for him but sadly he couldn't make it. Just wanted to say what a thoroughly amazing and memorable night it was. Thank you Sir. I will come to see you again 🙏
@@seltaeb3302 lol.. yes I think we have one “ bright “ light left in our town centre that’s not been vandalised! Lol. Thankfully our auditorium has seen Marty appear a few times. The last time he came I got to me and chat with Jet Harris shortly before he died.
I cannot understand why Marty Wilde has never been included in the Queen’s honour list. When the likes of scumbag Seville get a knighthood this is a glaring omission. A fan since I was a teenager I love.

I've booked a ticket to see him in Milton Keynes in September (2023) and am really looking forward to it.
