- I've been asked how to do this by a couple of S3 owners so I figured I'd make a video on it.

This is how to code in and get a G-meter and engine data gauge (horsepower and torque) on all virtual cockpit equipped Audi 8V A3 and S3!

FYI the "key hack" to open/close the windows works even without OBD (or similar), got a 2016 A3 and works as well.
I used to rip it up that same road all the time, I had such a weird deja vu feeling watching the launch. Used to live like 15 minutes from there.

Nice work bro, I've got the last of the current shape MY20 and only removed resonator and put carbon fibre paddle shifters. Still sounds ok, but worth doing the APR setup like you have.
Big props getting it under 4s for 0-100 launch, it's a proper fun car!

Actually for 2019 Audi S3 and newer, the engine data and g meter work just like the RS3.
Hey, can you make a vid of your exhaust setup? I am looking into getting the MBRP catback too and it would be paired with a catless downpipe. MBRP seems like the best value sounding exhaust for this car. Thanks

The G force won't work. You need TPMS sensor along with a TPMS receiver box that can display the temperature and tire pressure in order for the G force to work correctly.

Not sure if this has been done before but has someone attempted to add the sensors and calibration the G-meter? Wondering if it’s possible and if it’s worth it to make it functional. Thanks for the video.

I also have the torque and power meters on my display but its useless having them cause they don't work...the G meter works great tho

Hey nice video. Does this work on my 2017 A3? I really want the S3 sport display in general. Do I get it if I follow the steps you made?
this doesn't work. You have to install sensors under the rear seat to get this stuff to work. The S model doesn't come with the sensors needed to make those work.

Through the use of OBD can I activate the display with the sport interface?

I have a 2021 Q3 Premium plus but without the nav package so I get the virtual cockpit but it’s a little smaller. Could I still get the RS gauges on it?
most likely. since it has the newer digital dash im personally unfamilier but everything is figuroutable. don't give up!
If you take out the OBD unit, will the installed upgrades (sport displays, folding mirror, convenient window function) no longer work?
In addition, can you code the gear change indicators (green, amber, red) on the sport display like some higher end RS models have?
Good questions! To the first one the anwer is no. When you take out the obd11 it wont reset the changes you have made. And unfortunately Im pretty sure you cant add the gearshift lights, Ive tried a bunch of times but havent found a surefire way.

In addition, that mirror dip just doesn’t want to work too, don’t know how you got your FL S3 right because I’m struggling ☹️

Yeah the engine display wont work because the s3 doesnt have the sensors for it but it does show up in the menu to put on your display.
With the mirror dip, you have to have your mirror selector on your door panel moved to the right window position, then make sure you activate the mirror dip app within obd11 then once that is done. turn your car on and throw it in reverse, it should move.

I have an IE stage 1 engine and DSG tune. Do you know if using any of these functions from the obd11, will mess up or reset my tune?
It wont mess up your tune unless you mess with a bunch of values within the engine module :)
Do u know how to remove the “S” ou “RS” logo from speedometer?

Yeah if the A5 has the sensors and everything then it should just be in the dashboard module like in the video. Not sure what you mean by fixed mileage?
@@samugooo I've heard some stuff that only cars under 100km of total mileage could activate sport display 😭
The new VC’s lock after 100km, so it depends on your year. I was able to enable sport displays on My son’s 2019 B9 S4. (G meter doesn’t work , going to install rainbow box).
The S3 can get sports displays but the 2017 A3 can't get sports displays even via obd11

nope! once the features are coded in you can just yank it out.

Pro pack, allows long coding. Long coding uses no points. and the pro pack should have points with it.
