Great show. First time I ever saw it from the base. My first year living in Tucson I saw the Blue Angels perform and now I've finally seen the Thunderbirds as well. The Raptor put on a great show as well. It was much bigger than I thought. This was particularly apparent when it flew in formation during the Heritage Flight portion of the show. I Can't wait till the next one which I've heard won't be until 2022.
Nice video, I was stationed at Davis-Monthan AFB, with the 27th TASS and then later the 23rd TASS. 1978 *1981 and then 1982 - 1985. It was a great assignment, loved going out to Gila Bend and running Close Air Support missions. Lots of great memories.
Thanks Brenda! I uploaded in a higher resolution, but it takes RUclips awhile to fully process such a large file. It should look a lot better in a few hours. Thanks for watching!
They only plan to hold it once every other year at Davis-Monthan in Tucson with Luke AFB in the Phoenix area holding their air show on Tucson's off year. So you could actually see an Air Show every year that way. Yuma MCAS in Arizona holds an air show EVERY year currently and they are on the border with California.
The Tomcat, Prowler and the Hawkeye were towed over from the DM AFB "Boneyard" as displays for the air show. They exhibit the process applied to all aircraft stored there called Spraylat. It is a protective coating to keep out the sun, dust, water and critters from entering the interior of the planes and helicopters during the indefinite storage time aircraft endure at the facility's enormous outdoor field. The layers consists of a silver 3M tape to seal panel lines, then two black rubber latex type layers followed by the white covering.
The air show scene needs to up their game regarding music (I’d rather have no music at all). The next time I hear Thunder by AC/DC I’m gonna throat punch someone. Been hearing the same damn song lineup at airshows for 30 years now, and it wasn’t even that great back then!

Hi Jeff, I'm still getting announcements that they plan to hold one at D-M AFB in November 2021, so just a couple of months away.

Only times I went out to Gila was if one of our F-16s broke down and had to divert there. :-P Thanks for your service brother Airman!
Damn I love those birds plenty of sky in the old Pueblo.
Hi. Thanks for this upload. So rare this side of the Atlantic to see good airshows. Good filming all round, and a pleasure to watch.
Thanks, I had a lot of footage to go through...and a little sunburn to heal. :-P
Great camera work - well done.

Wow my home town air show I hope they have it next year.
DM has tentatively scheduled their next air show for November 6 and 7th, 2021.
@@MaxAfterburner Heck yeah I can't wait I wanna to go to try to get new subscribers and views. Maybe.
@@MaxAfterburner Good to know are you planning on going?
Bummed out I missed it this year. Thanks for this video showing the highlights of the show 👍
Thanks Jimmy, glad you could get to see some of the sights this way at least.
I love when the raptor opens his belly... Just like hey look at my babies 😆🤣
Great video! This was an awesome airshow, just wish we got the full F-35 Demo. Hopefully I can catch a practice at Luke again soon.
Thanks Alex! You'll probably get a chance at Luke's air show next year for sure.
Went to Luke and buckeye airshow
Nice video, good show :-)
Děkuji, šťastné, že se vám to líbilo!
I am moving to AZ in a few weeks. The recently closed down the air show near me now that I would take the kids too. Is this a yearly event in Tuscon?

There is one this weekend at Travis AFB.
Air Show Season 2019 has begun!
Very Awesome 👏🏻
Thanks DemonExtremo! It should look better when RUclips finishes processing the upload in a few hours.
I was there for the first day
Did any of these planes fly more than match 1 ? I would like to hear a sonic boom in next airshow
Hi Diego, for many years now, the military has been restricted from breaking the sound barrier during air shows. ☹️
@@MaxAfterburner Thanks so much, I saw a picture from Blue Angels over PAcific show weeks ago, with condensing cloud behind it.
👍👍👍👍
Thanks!
So you were the guy with the camera !
Me and everyone else! :-D
u can buy this Planes?
And that if you muster MiG-29 9-12 or 9-13 1/48
Someone knows what is the white thing put over the dismissed airplane, for example the Prowler and the Tomcat?

I came from a city near a F-16 USAF base..

I hope they bring an F-22 this year
It's not showing on the demo list, but maybe there will be one or two on static display.
