That's Me to a Nailhead!! Exactly this with Dextroscoliosis at 25 Degrees as well!! The havoc all created by 55 years of living with a 1" shorter right leg sustained from a fractured femur at age 15 in 1966. Now at 73 yo, I have suffered with continued degradation of these conditions since that time. It took about 15 years or so for the Lumbar issues to commence into the HIPS / SI Joints and traverse up the spine to the top of my cervical spine (C1-C2 ) ruining my Spinal health and therefore my entire well being since. There is No surgery to help - bc too much Arthritis on the vertebrae and Facet Joints - 6 surgeons were consulted with the same answers. Some Neurologists have suggested Pool Therapy to help alleviate the pressure on the discs , but i don't think they mentioned Swimming, just pool therapy which is simply Floating .
You need to ask clarification for this I have severe spinal stenosis in my lower spine and being in the pool and swimming on my back has helped immensely!! I started out just floating in deepwater, and treading water. I progressed to now being able to swim laps, on my back. This has done great things for my upper back and shoulders, as well as helping to strengthen my lower back. I spend about 50 minutes in the water 3 to 4 times a week. I ❤ it
My doctor who is a neurologist and physiatrist told me swimming was the very best for my spine. I have stenosis and other things. So interesting. I have found it so helpful .
NHS Physio recommended swimming as well. However I am currently having a lot more pain swimming than I used to. So maybe he’s onto something. I’ve had sciatica for 6 months and the first 4 months swimming helped. Now it seems to be ultra painful

What would you recommend for these conditions, then?
Nothing. I don’t think he knows what he’s talking about. Different people react differently, and many people are relieved through swimming.
@ my grandpa avoided back surgery by swimming as well.
I’m curious to see what he thinks or if this is just engagement farming :/
@@mrpentiumI also agree. I have all those conditions and swimming always makes feel better and stronger. I suspect he is a non-swimmer.
no need for kicking in crawl tho, can use a buoy
