Could clearly see how hard this job is. Great view angles! Well done!

When you do sharpen your fret slotting saw, please do a video showing how?

Great looking piece of rosewood. You use that plane like a pro.

Another idea for the pickup covers: apply some shellac.

Coming along nicely Pat. That fingerboard certainly gives you a hand tool workout! I also noticed that you work left handed but play right handed like Mark Knopfler. Crazy guys.

In Dan Erlewine’s book it is suggested to rub the white plastic with some brown Kiwi shoe polish. Leave it on for 20 minutes and wipe of the excess with a paper towel. That should get the pick-up covers a bit aged. Perhaps you can try it on some old piece of plastic like a single use coffee spoon or so first.

Your workmanship is always top notch. I especially like how you use more manual methods as opposed to “modern conveniences”
I used Tonerider pickups on my last telecaster build and they’re amazing. Great choice!

I remember hearing once that the phrase "top notch" comes from (appropriately) a sawyers practice. When a log was being cut over a saw pit the person at the top was pulling the saw up, on the other hand, the person in the saw pit pulling the saw down was the one getting covered in saw dust. A top notch job meat you were getting the better of the two tasks.

Great info as per usual Patrick. To 'yellow' those pickup covers use a UVc lamp. Put the covers in a box with the lamp for 24 hours. You'll be amazed at the amount of "sunlight damage" that will have occurred in such a short period of time. The coffee staining method wears off. UVc won't! Ebay sell these lamps. Don't buy an LED one they don't work! It must be the incandescent type.
