I sent this video to my administrator, (I work in a hospital) to encourage him to promote posture health with this link. It may go viral in our corporation if he promotes it. Thank you for the instruction. Well done.
*What's the update? Did they accept it?*
Looking for some help. On his first exercise I find it hard to lift my elbows anyway near as high as him. What does that mean for my posture? Do I have a tight thoracic spine?
Thanks in advance!
Please mention your recommended repititions
I have a question. When you say keep your core engaged, what exactly does that mean?Even more so,how often should you engage your core? All day?or just when doing a set of an exercise?Does it mean keeping your abs flexed real tight?or pulling your belly button in?or both?I'm asking this because this whole posture thing is quite perplexing to me.When I was a kid up to my early 20's,I didn't give posture a second thought.I just stood, sat and moved comfortably and felt fine doing it.I don't have really bad posture but it's not great and I feel I have some trouble areas, that really affect how I feel. The thing is when i've tried to have good posture,I end up getting stiff muscles all over, maybe due to my lower back getting stiff. Also I find myself always trying to keep this "good posture",and that also makes me move stiff. So any advice would be appreciated especially about the tight core issue.
These were really helpful especially for a pianist...we are all hunchbacks lol!!
Great video with a lot of good information, but I have a weird question, you can answer or ignore.. lol.. Where did you get that shirt from?
This is a great video
I'm a massage therapist and I'm giving a lot of my clients the link to this video
I myself have a scoliosis and a kyphosis since being a teenager
I'm now 42 years old and I've started doing your exercises, I'm not expecting to get the same flexibility in my spine that you have but do you think it's possible for me to get more movement in my thoracic spine as it's pretty fixed in place now
All the best
Matt
Any updates plz
When I do the rotation movement, I get low back pain in the left side!
My upper back is so stiff. When I try to mobilize them, the majority, if not all, movements came from the compensation of my lower back...
Thank you so much, this really helped me. My boyfriend just recently told me that i slouch a lil bit, of course i never noticed i was doing that but i want to fix it as soon as possible. My grandma has a serious case of kyphosis and i see my mom heading tthere as well. So i wanna do anything i can do to not end up like that. plus it looks painful.
+Mirna Blanco Hey Mirna...yes it is painful but you can most DEFINITELY do something about it. This will help :)
Chad
SittingSolution TV, thank you for this video. It answered the questions I had and proved to me that I've had a slouched posture. Recently, starting 1-2 months ago, I started paying attention to my back structure and I was always wondering why my stomach sticked out more than my chest. I thought that I had gained weight but that was not the case at all. After doing the exercises in these videos just now, I feel myself having the "S" structure you said in the video. I won't go on about my short story, but thank you so much for this video! It was very informative and will now help for what I need to do to have the correct posture for my thoracic!

Mirna Blanco ..
Can an improved thoracic stimulate improved brain and tissue(organ) function?
Hi. Do you have a wall poster that can be hung up in the office?
Great explanation thanx! I have found a number of short vid's here. Most have at least 2 moves per vid. Does this mean that in each vid posted here includes 1st a mobile followed by a 'stable' move? Sorry 2 b such a bother. I find myself with questions on each segment! Thanx Gratitude and Blessings, Neecie
Hey Neecie,
Thanks! We try to give an example of mobility and stability in most vides as both are important. Different areas of the body will have different priorities in terms of improving structural balance and we definitely see some trends with the sitting population.
Our workspace workout videos will generally be something practical that people can do in the workspace to solve this issue.
Thanks for watching!
Chad
hi.. is this will help to gain height?
Can these exercises be done in case of lordosis along with compensatory kyphosis?
any idea how to fix it? any luck?
Dhairya parekh Sounds like that back is ☹️☹️☹️😬😬, I wonder how it got that way??
Those sharp/quick rotational movements are really bad for my lower back pain. I didn't hear you mention that not everyone should try it. They shouldn't.... could end up bedridden for a week.
I think my poor posture resulted now having a "military neck"(natural curve loss to a almost reversal) I've been given text hand outs that aren't helpful I prefer pictures. ( in how long how often Ect).. Have any tips to helping restore the natural curvature? Ive given up on it. only now gotten worse. Very informative video I will incorporate.
rachel thomas ....you might want to check out my video how to fix neck pain here: ruclips.net/video/1y9jpBd8vy0/видео.html
I should a couple of really good neck exercises that can help you restore a more natural curve. The most important things though are that you are asymptotic and that you have FULL range of motion. The actually lateral view of an X-ray matters much less.
Hope that helps :)
Chad
i have bad posture kyposis since 15 years old cause I spent my whole life playing video games can I correct this shit now im 22 years old
I can barely do the first one. I don't go back very far. It looks like that's where my problem is.
At any age we can fix it
I've been slouching since I was 6 years old, now 21 and I'm almost entirely convinced my posture is 110% annihilated by doing so. If I do some of these exercises every other day (I get sore easily) will it help fix my posture, or at the very least make it a little better or is my problem permanent now? Any advice would be great, because I don't want to look the way I do anymore.
Any updates ple
I've got a decade of desk jobs behind me that really screwed me. It feels like I'm so bad off that I can't even extend the T-Spine property in the seated stretch and the one against the wall. Should I just keep at it?
Warm Up first 5 mins whole body....Stretch Second= Lengthens muscle....Then do all these exercise... Set a goal like...3 days of stretching and 2 days of strengthening....if you have a gym use the ROWING and PULL DOWN BAR machine....
How often should I do these per day? You did say to always move around every 40 minutes, which isn't too much of a problem for me now because my job is very active, but I want to improve my posture so how often should I do these exercises?
micstar615 I recommend doing these type of exercises every 45 minutes...atleast :)
Thanks for the response! My only problem is that I can't do this every 45 minutes at work :( however, I'm never sitting down at my job! Should I do it every 45 minutes when I'm at home/more sedentary? I guess what I'm asking is: is it crucial to do these every 45 minutes even if you aren't sitting down often or should you do them when you are going to be sedentary? I used to have a very sedentary lifestyle before I got my job which has cobtributed to my poor posture but now my life is very active because of my job, but I know I still need to mobilize/stabilize my weak muscles to fix the poor posture that I've developed.
The problem with me is that i have more of a curved inward back so im wondering if this would help me
try everything it will help (you are a gamer right?)
My shoulders pop every time I do the last exercise. Is it normal? It doesn't hurt but it's scary.
that sounds like bone on bone?
I really like that avatar.
any objections against using the POÄNG chair for computer work?

What about the opposite problem?? Lordosis
cervical or lumbar lordosis?
Cervical
what if I like having a slouched posture?
MrSham3less then keep doing what you're doing :)
How about fixing the grammar in your title?
Done Marla! Thanks so much for pointing that out!
AWESOME! and great info btw!!
ahh...thanks Marla!
Dude, you talk so much. Lots of unnecessary words. More than 8 minutes, can't you just say it, show it, and move on? See the other videos on this topic, focused, instructive, quick, and motivating
thanks for so much great information!
