I’m the expressionless type so I can only laugh with my lips opening only a little
I need to cross my fingers and put it on the table to concentrate
I can constantly look at a persons eyes for more than a minute until he or she does what I want them to do

You know, this video fails to point out that every gesture shouldn't be read so much into.
For example, I have a habit of crossing my arms when someone is telling me something. It's just something I do to tell my body not to make a move and actually pay attention to what is being said to me. It helps me think more because my arms act as a sort of 'blockade', so that I do not act or respond until I have processed all information and actually considered my options carefully.

Please don't believe any of this BS. The messages that people send with body language are a totality of the positioning and movements of all parts of their bodies and faces. These gestures alone have no definitive or single meaning. Also, the relationship between two individuals will alter how body language is intended and interpreted.

A body language you also shouldn't do: Grab your arm with one hand makes you look uncomfortable, shy and, uninterested in talking to someone. It also looked like something bad has happened. Putting all your fingers against each other is also a sign of shyness and timidity. Or tapping your index finger against the other index finger, which is fidgeting.

yeap..it is 'on me' and I'm not ashamed of it. once you have a larger person in your life, they draw you down to their depression level and it's not healthy for anyone. people will always judge with their eyes first. it's human nature.

People who have arms, need a place to put them. An angry look, the finger, a fist, a real gun, a knife, these are threatening. Anyone who takes the time to analyze every move and posture is a sick individual. I can tell all of these without the analysis. Mostly, this is just bovine fecal matter, and with that I am moving on to a useful site.

    This seems tobe US motivated.
In Europe many of these a gestures are quite normal and used daily.
    And not considered rudeness

    • @nuts6033

This isn't even true in the US. For example, hands in pocket just shows more casual "ness" and holding your arm behind your back can show your shy. 90% of this is BS and is just fake as heck. Poor them, trying to look professional.

So according to you I’m always angry and lying. I always grip my arm behind my back because I’m fidgety and I do’s it when I get nervous not angry. I cross my ankles because I have a bad balance and I sway when I stand in place. What does that have to do with lying? Thanks a lot Brightside! You really know how to make me look bad. 😂😐

When I see someone with gripping their hands behind their back, crossing their ankles, hands in their pocket, clasping their hand, elbows on the table fingers laced together, hand reaching toward me, hands on their hips, hitch hiker's thumb, or hand covering their mouth I'm not the least bit offended or not want to be with that person. So why would they feel negative toward me if I subconsciously did those things.

Regarding the comment about tilting the head when istening. I find that when I'm being told something that I consider interesting and useful then I naturally tilt my head, and I give the person who is talking a slightly sideways look. I point both my ears and eyes towards them.

I perceive that most of this, except for the obvious, which one can discern, is for those who want to pursue and work with a high-level management system. There are too many technicalities regarding this; akin to a musician who knows all the notes and chords but cannot make it flow from the fingers. A good mentor would help. My long experience with body language and psychology as a denizen in various parts of the world, that sometimes, good things in certain cultures make a less positive impact in other nations. Ironically, A good thing in one may offend in another. To turn the other cheek: necessitates finding a fortified foundation, change the angle -- and bring the Vaseline!

So when I have my hand over my mouth it actually is saying "I am listening to listen not respond or what you are saying is shocking". Also tilting my head is saying " I can relate or I empathize with you". Really the only point in this video I can agree with is pointing. If you want to be attractive be your self and sincere with your body language as well as your words. If you are focusing so much on what you are doing you aren't focusing on the other person.

I sometimes cover my mouth, not while I'm talking, but to show I'm listening while others are talking. The extra advantage is that when you finally take that hand away, it’s a strong signal that you're going to respond.
