The ground floor bedroom leading in to the smoking room would’ve been for the teacher / school mistress / nanny. The children would’ve come down for their lessons and she could access the study via her bedroom. This is why that small child’s bed was in the study/smoking room/classroom 💛 Additionally the “kitchen” was put in in about 1979-1985 when this family manor was converted to a “Summer/Vacation House”. What you said was the “garage” and “utility room” was actually the laundry room and the “utility room” was the original kitchen, hence the stairway in there. The servants prepared food, bed pans and bed water in there to take up to the bedrooms and it’s inhabitants. I’d love to see this all restored to its original glory
You have to admire all the furnishings and furniture from all these beautiful places. You just don’t see the way that furniture is made anymore. True craftsmanship !!
So very sad that these vintage items and beautiful furniture are left to deteriorate 😞this is an antique store vendor’s dream. I wish there would be some type of estate sale instead of letting things rot away 😢
I am an antique dealer for many years , most of the furniture and Artworks featured in this videos are not thought after in todays market , leave alone the condition there are in , but the biggest problem ... there is no road to go to these places so things remain there like corpses to decade dont be sorry these are just things the valuable items are gone long time ago .
It's so nice to see a house that hasn't been destroyed by decay, vandals or thieves. The plant at 40:46 is holly. You're right the kitchen is just weird and way, way too small for a house of that size.
Love this wonderful place and the furniture. It looks like someone could move in after some cleaning and live there. It was absolutely wonderful. Thank you for showing this place. Stay safe and love ya Leslie
Just beautiful! And as always so sad to see the decay. Leslie you were made to do this. Your love for these places and the respect you show in them is very special. Your passion shines ❤️
The wall coverings in that house, apart from the one in the hall, looked like fabric rather than paper. To replace it, would cost an awful lot of money. That silver oil lamp on the mantel piece was one of the nicest I’ve seen in a while. It needs a chimney and a lovely etched glass, cranberry coloured, tulip shaped shade and it would look fantastic. The lamp at the bottom of the hall stairs is from a horse drawn cart or coach. Love the carved benches from the year 1619 wow! This has been one of the most interesting explorations in a while.
Absolutely beautiful stone manor! I can imagine how the people went about the daily life . That marble vanity with wash basin and pitcher is lovely. Love the lantern in the entrance and colored windows. Interesting lamp post on the staircase. Beautiful furniture in all the rooms. The duck is a pull toy in the attic. I didn't see any bathrooms in the manor. I would love to explore with you! 😍 Excellent Lesley!🎉
I love how you narrate. You use the power of your imagination. You always create a nice family that could have lived there. I love prowling around these old estate houses with you! I would enjoy watching your first episodes. Do you still have them? Where? Keep on doing you, you're perfect at it!
The living room looks exquisite!! So many precious artifacts to admire and observe! However, the memories left behind in abandoned places are even more precious! Thank you for this lovely tour through history!!!
Beautiful. I absolutely love how grateful you seem too explore these places. I'm impressed how respectful you are to the previous owners and the homes content. Bravo!!
Absolutely one of your very best exploring making a home video showing what it was like from yesterdays house. As noted by another there was not an indoor bathroom so this is really a home from long ago. The copper item hanging in the beginning of the hall way and the smaller one in the bedroom was for fresh water and was filled by the staff so the people could get a glass of clean drinking water probably from their well. No running water until much later in the history of the home. That room above the old kitchen area was the cooks / servants room with a tiny fireplace. The attic was absolutely a work of art, one could turn that into an apartment to die for in our time. The ceiling wood work would be almost impossible to build today. Just a real walk through in time. My compliments for sharing this with the people in the world that really want and do share you dreams of saving homes of yesterday in video format before they are forever gone.
Such a lovely place!! I enjoy watching these videos. I look forward to seeing new videos each time u post them!! These videos capture a time that has long passed. Sad to see how these families abandon such beautiful properties. But I am glad you film 🎥 these videos so we can all appreciate these abandoned places and the beauty they possess!!👍❤🙂
That large "thermostat" on the wall is actually a thermometer. It displays the ambient room temoerature and a thermostat actually regulates the temperature. Love your videos and your family-oriented imagination.
Love your videos ! Several of my ancestors came from France to North America ( New France, later Canada) in the late 1500’s. I love your videos. So well done.

Heyy Lesley, After a breathtakingly beautifully formulated introduction, we get to see again the noble count Lesley! - How lovely, you really are looking so unbelievably handsome in that historical looking attire! - Even from the outside this French manoir is really impressive. - Of course it's such a pity, that such a wonderful location is just left forgotton and abandoned to slowly decay. Thank you so much, dear bro, for sharing this truly amazing location with us viewers. - I agree, that is really quite a surprisingly big greenhouse. - This basket, where you thought, it could be a picknick basket, is probably an old fashioned hat box. The bedroom on the hallway-level has a beautiful design with the antique furniture, the upright piano and that special vanity and is looking very museal. - This blue bottle for carbonated water is called syphon. I especially loved the wardrobe and the bed with the very decorative brass decorations. The upholstered armchair is an incredibly beautiful example for a pure art deco piece of furniture, probably produced between the 1920-1930-ies. - Wow, and that living room, a time capsule from a period a long time ago! Incredible to see and still so incredibly untouched and filled with precious antique furniture and other smaller antique items! I was nearly speechless when watching, because everything is so beautiful! - Even the attic had a lot of interesting items to see. A small correction: You showed a wonderful photoframe with many photos of the former family in different places. - In one of these photos they are visible in a tower of the city of Chicago, not New York, because I could identify the black tower, also visible on the photo, as the so called "Hancock Tower". I know this building very well, because I was once there. Thank you so much, my friend, for taking us on this memorable tour through that wonderful mansion full of antique treasures! There you really found an Urbex gem, which is probably rare and a unique example of its own, as I presume. Wishing you all the best, many hugs and still a wonderful continuation of your grand trip together with Maureno and now even with Danny! Stay safe, my bro, and take care! - Blessings, peace and kindest regards.
A Wonderful and Beautiful tour of this fantastic home, so well done with respect and dignity! This is Brothers of Decay we’ve grown to Love! Many Blessings with Peace and Joy of Being! Thank You Most Kindly! DaveyJO in Pennsylvania
It’s so amazing and incredible that everything is still in its place it’s like a little museum and it’s a shame that it’s going to waste but to me it looks like someone’s coming in looking after it because it is so beautiful
I'm a newbie on your channel and I love this video, you speak so eloquently and show each piece of history. Most youtube explorers flit thru the rooms and don't look at the historical side. I watch several and you are the best at actually slowing down and showing us the history. Do you have any idea of when this was abandoned, year wise? Someone has to be paying taxes on it. There is a fortune in artifacts there, I pray they can be preserved.
So true; agree ! What I see all over Canada /USA and now France/Poland so many abandoned historic properties let to be destroyed by Nature....the new ..order do not like the history it seems....as they do have the funds. We the commoners do not have the money any more. Thanks so much for your work.
Leslie, I appreciate the way you treat every house you explore. You are so gentle and respectful. I like the way your eyes light up as you explore. And above all I appreciate that you do to swear even mildly as you move through your tours.
I just found your channel. I love old homes & antiques, but I have a hard time watching your videos because they make my heart so heavy with sorrow. To see these beautiful structures no longer loved and the owners' material/personal belongings just left behind. It is so sad, where did they go? Why did they abandon their home? But what an exciting adventure for you.
the way you respect the houses is admirable. The way you enjoy the different peices and the beauty of what was once grand shows that you are a sensitive man. I love watching your travels.
Wow Leslie! Hello from Arizona! What an amazing place. The two pianos were certainly unexpected! Quite special. I enjoyed it very much.. thank you so much for sharing your adventure.❤️🙏
Wonderful old house. A small fortune in the furnishings. The upolstered furniture is in surprisingly good shape. It's looks like there was no build up of dust on any furniture. Maybe it's the climate. Beautiful ornate carving on the woodwork. The mirrors didn't look at all dirty. What a great time capsule! I would sure love to see these old places in person myself. I'm fascinated by them. What a story they tell!
Thank you Lesley for another amazing adventure. Do you ever hear after your exploration that family members stepped up and collected their beautiful pieces before they got destroyed? My head is still spinning from that bench in the foyer with 1691 carved into it. That cant just rot away.! Thanks again for another beautifully crafted video.
Another Hit Lesley 👏🏻👏🏻 always love the background music , admire how respectful & delicately you describe the items as you go .. thank you 😀 Greetings from California, Be safe !! 😊😊
Wow! What a beautiful sunroom warped around the back of the house, , it’s must be a nice area to relax and enjoy the backyard. , inside the house got many antique and interesting things, it’s is a very nice home indeed, thank you for skating
My Grandparents on my father's side traveled to Europe many times and I now own some of their antiques, but never have I seen such rare furniture and glass as I see in your videos, and my mother and her mother were also antique dealers, and my father was president of the antique bottle collectors in the U S, so when I say rare things, you know they are rare. I am coming to France soon where I look to find some of the vintage art and glass from there. I'm addicted now so keep them coming please.
Leslie you say that your not religious but you are.Just listening to you how respectful you are and you speak of our Jesus Christ.May God Bless You ❤️🙏
You may not be religious but you still have respect for those who are.I don't know how you find these places but, thanks for taking us along on your adventurers.Be safe and as always, we love you too guys.
That upholstery on the chairs had amazing needlepoint work details. So classy. And labor intensive. So sad one of the kids didn't rescue the personal items and just sell the place to a new owner. Maybe they all died in a plane crash. Can't figure out why this happened.
I'm completely amazed at the fact that you never take anything! So respectful of the touching and moving of things as well. Thank you for showing people how to be reverent of others' family/ancestral belongings.
Hi Bros... The box in the hallway, which you thought was for water, its actually a mailbox.. And the printing on the bedroom wall is, printed vintage tapestry.. Ty for sharing such amazing antique home.. ❤️
How stunning, I noticed a beautiful Lalique vase with the dead foliage in it. Such a place and seeing the pictures of the family in the home- priceless 🌹
Hi from Australia, Leslie I've been having a trouble time with 2 channels I've unsubscribed, I needed a real gentleman to help me feel better and you Sir are a true gentleman, I'm 62yrs old men like you are few and far between. Thank you for your gentle soul and your respect I know you will make an effort to read my comment much respect Kate 🇦🇺🌻🌻
It is such a shame to see all of the beautiful hand-done needlepoint on this furniture destined to be destroyed. How sad. I know how much work it took to do these. I wish they could be rescued, along with all of the other beautiful artifacts.
This was a fabulous video. I am a new subscriber and I am currently going through old videos. I have loved every minute of it. I just finished the video from Portugal, where the guy built a Disney house for his daughters. That was a spectacular video. Probably my favourite to date. Keep it up I am excited to continue this journey. Love from Canada.
From a fellow follower. U are in for a real treat. An astounding journey with some wonderful guides. The Disney House was incredible and is a distant memory to me now. All lovers of beauty, grand homes, art have been truly blessed by Lesley & Company.
Lesley does a fantastic job on documentaries videos. I love them myself. Love the attention to detail and spends time researching the home, castle, and manor . You are in for a treat. I have been following him since October 2021. 🎉♥️
I love exploring with you! I am amazed people leave all these wonderful treasures behind!! Do u just stumble across these beauties or do you have permission?
Leslie what an incredible place. The architecture and the artifacts were incredible! Couldn’t believe those benches from the 1600s wowser! Thank you so much for a wonderful tour. Sorry about the refrigerator. That was certainly unexpected. I wonder what happened to them. And for such a large large manner why was there only that one bedroom. So many questions. Stay safe my friend. Love from me in California🤟🏻💜😎🍀🇺🇸
So many things going to waist in these homes. Lesley so many of these thing are works of art . They must not end up in ruin. You need to find out how you can help save these things from ending up this way. You do such a great job showing all of us these great homes. You have to help saving these thing. I wish I could help you to find some one to talk to about saving some of the furniture you come across. I dont know how but I love antique furniture and these thing are way to nice to end this way. Please see what you can do about this. Stay safe and I will keep watching. Thank you and your crue you all do such amayzing work. You should have a TV show. Your all that good.

Amazing video Leslie....loved the furniture with beautiful details on it. Thanks for taking us to a beautiful place. Take care. Keep exploring. Best of luck
The old lamp at the bottom of the stairs in the umbrella stand is an old horse drawn Coach lamp - there would have been two at the front and two at the back. Leslie you are such a romantic - you looked like a Character out of Pride and Prejudice- terribly handsome and a true Gentleman. As usual a gorgeous Mansion and explore thank you! 💗🐨🇦🇺
Another beautiful vid.💖 Also, I think those upholstered chairs in that second room with the busts were depicting stories. At least I felt like the one by the blocked door was depicting the butterfly lady story particularly. Antique furniture always seems to have so much thought and craftsmanship in them.
Such a unique place that appears fully restorable. The things left are of tremendous value to collectors and if just some things were sold the cost of restoration would be covered. Let's hope for it.
Lesley, I noticed you always turn water faucets on in the homes. Did you realize the seals dry rot in the faucets and may not turn off? It usually breaks when turned on cause so old. It can actually flood the home. Just an fyi...love your shows.
Well, I backtracked and looked again...then watched the whole thing a second time, because I could only see one bedroom... with a single bed! I thought maybe I missed something while I was in the kitchen. But no... It seems they left with only one bedroom downstairs...and only the unfinished attic upstairs! Seems very peculiar! It is a magnificent place, with beautiful furnishings. But the one bedroom for a family with 3 children...of course they all grew up and perhaps are not even alive...but it's perplexing. Any information about that would be welcome. Great job Lesley...as usual!! 😁
Just want to say how beautiful this place is! Everything is so awesome, I can’t believe that people would just walk away from such beautiful antiques. And just let it go. So sad that a place like this can’t be restored. Nowadays it would cost a fortune just to restore it . Thanks for taking your time to show us this wonderful Manor! Bonnie
Hi Lesley 😁🌟💕👌What a charming thing you do giving grace back to a place, noting all the details, intricacies through out, taking care and time about telling of how they must’ve went about their days. You capture their essence and even at times do period attire to tie in the immersion of explore👌🌟👏👏💕💕Truly for you and your work,a kiss 😘 blows back your way!Thank you for your beautiful video! Be safe!
Cool documentary! These places in Europe are much more interesting than here in the USA. Can I also just say I love your voice? It's really soothing/relaxing. I listen to a lot of ASMR and these videos have a similar effect on me.
This mansion was wonderful, I loved all the furniture, all very antique. Good explore Leslie. Maybe one day the children will come back to claim the family home back.
Many thanks, Leslie. I loved seeing so many rare antiques and collectables. The blue glass container that held mineral water and the prayer chair stand out as my favourite vintage views. The manor had the most beautiful design with its wrap around conservatory. The tapestries were absolutely gorgeous. I was absolutely amazed with the details on those Asian upholstered chairs with the dragon face. wow and the wallpaper was grand!
That was another great video, full of secrets and mysteries and you have a very special and pleasant way of showing us these places. It's obvious that you enjoy exploring all the mysterious and old places yourself. Thank you for the beautiful videos.
It looked like 2 different eras, one looked like a museum, I noticed motion sensors in the downstairs rooms like museums have. Very odd to not see other bedrooms. I think they lived in one part and opened up the other part as a museum perhaps?
So much to look at in this castle like manor. Very grand and unusual, thank you very much. Enjoyed your era costume, informative speech on the antique couch also, it was very cheerful :)
What a wonderful place to explore. I can't believe how everything is still in such good condition. I wish I could have explored with you as this is just my kind of place! 🤗😍
It's so strange how many places you find that are abandoned! Who would just leave a big place like this with so many things that could be sold? And leaving food in the refrigerator?? How do you find out about the houses and do the people know you are there? I love this channel!
Hello Leslie I'm 73 and many health problems. Your voice is like a new brand medicine that helps my mood. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Thank you!! It makes a lot more sense now!!
TY that makes a lot more sense.
Did I miss it or was this the only bedroom shown? Seems like there must have been a lot of house we didn’t see.
but why is there the child's bed?
You have to admire all the furnishings and furniture from all these beautiful places. You just don’t see the way that furniture is made anymore. True craftsmanship !!

Just beautiful! And as always so sad to see the decay. Leslie you were made to do this. Your love for these places and the respect you show in them is very special. Your passion shines ❤️

Wow, what beautiful place. The furniture is awesome. As always great job Leslie!
Que bonita recamara. Te saludo desde México
Thank you for another wonderful video. The bedroom is so neat. I love the furniture. Also love the blue bottle lol
My pleasure!
That upholstery on the chairs had amazing needlepoint work details. So classy. And labor intensive. So sad one of the kids didn't rescue the personal items and just sell the place to a new owner. Maybe they all died in a plane crash. Can't figure out why this happened.
What a beautiful mansion 😍. I love 💘 all of the antiques. I am wondering where the 🛁 was. Great explore as usual. Stay safe 👌👍🙏❤💓💙
Thank you leslie for a wonderful adventure. I love to watch your videos right before i sleep at night. So relaxing..
THIS ONE IS SO MUCH A FAVORITE . IT IS SO INCREDIBLE AND IF IT JUST ROTS BREAKS MY HEART
Thank you for all the awesome videos Lesley! It’s so cool to watch! Much 💜 from South Carolina
The places you show in these videos are awesome! I wish there were places left like that here to explore!
It is such a shame to see all of the beautiful hand-done needlepoint on this furniture destined to be destroyed. How sad. I know how much work it took to do these. I wish they could be rescued, along with all of the other beautiful artifacts.
Such a beautiful manor. Your channel is my favorite❤️👍Thank you Lesley for another amazing adventure!
Sometimes things are hidden atop the standing wardrobe cabinets. Beautiful! Thank you Leslie.
Thank you Lesley for this beautiful exploration👌 I loved it so much🤍 especially the outside😍 the green nature is beautiful 🌳
Loved this Lesley ,so interesting and beautiful furniture thanks BOD 👏🏻💕
What a magnificent place & you showed it so well...thanks for sharing!
Excellent over view of this abandon mansion. I enjoyed listening to the commentaries as you proceeded through this home !
Beautiful estate. Furnishings and art. Thank you, Lesley! 💙🌙❄️
Hi Lesley! Good afternoon! Good see your video in this Sunday 😀🇧🇷
Enjoy it 😊
@@BrosOfDecay Yes! Yes!
Wow is very beautiful and thank you for the video see you next week.
Como sempre mais uma maravilhosa exploração!!!!! Só me resta dar os parabéns!!! Abraços desde Brasil!! 🇧🇷
Funny , i just watch it a second time to look for the other bedrooms. I only saw one also !
@@annlyon.2040 Just seemed odd...you know?
@@Lightgirl715 maybe he forgot! 😆
@@annlyon.2040 Could happen! Plus I noticed a few locked doors....oh well. Still a great explore.
@@Lightgirl715 oh yea ! That’s where they probably were. He should have said something like that.
Love your videos and the respect you have for the places you visit. And I could listen to your voice for hours. :)
I like that you take your time and describe everything. All the old country houses seem so dark and heavy; I like thinks light and airy.
Bonnie
I want to purchase a set of books and fire place setting made out of stone how do you fine the priceing pices.
I agree, some of it looked they could return any moment , very good condition.
Wow what a beautiful house/manor. Grand and eloquent furnishings. Love this channel xx 🇬🇧
Whoa 🤩! What a beautiful place! And the furniture too! Thank you Lesley for sharing. 👍👍👍😘🫂💜🌹🐈🐕🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️
Lesley is the best Urbex. Thanks for a great post. It was truly a lovely place. Saying hello from Las Vegas NV. 🇺🇸
Thank you for translating a lot the the words. I really appreciate that !
That was another great video, full of secrets and mysteries and you have a very special and pleasant way of showing us these places. It's obvious that you enjoy exploring all the mysterious and old places yourself. Thank you for the beautiful videos.
So many wonderful pictures and furniture. Just left to parish. So 😢
I loved this one. There is a couple of armchairs I would like in my house. And your good mood and your soothing tone .
That is by far the most beautiful Oil lamp I’ve ever seen
It looked like 2 different eras, one looked like a museum, I noticed motion sensors in the downstairs rooms like museums have. Very odd to not see other bedrooms. I think they lived in one part and opened up the other part as a museum perhaps?
This was a really nice find Lesley. However, I was wondering if there was an upstairs with the Master Bedroom and the children's bedrooms?
I just wrote the same thing ! Now i will delete mine. I only saw one bedroom downstairs ! I know i saw the whole video.
I was wondering as well where the other bedrooms were.
There were doors boarded up in the living RM, bedrm and din. rm so perhaps they had the bedrm with more private stuff? Great video!!
I am wondering the same thing
seems we only saw one wing of the house and there must be a larger kitchen somewhere. That kitchen was inadequate for a mansion
Love all your videos would love to explore with you
The most fascinating thing in the video is your interesting style of explaining, and the love for history, art and bygone lives.
I love the Fish Horn. That’s great imagination whom ever carved it. Love it
So much to look at in this castle like manor.
