Heck of a tool. JCB should extend the demo from there advertising budget. Your going to sell a boatload of loaders. Ask for a promotion code and 5% discount on every sale. Beats media advertising with a stick all day. Good luck with calving and dry fields to plant. The channel is one heck of a marketing tool. Great upload. My hopes are that that even though it's pricy, there are plans to purchase the machine, it seems ideal for what you are doing, I only wish they had invented the skid steered tela handle when I was growing up on the ranch in Montana would have made my life much simpler and less complicated
The lifting capacity and stability on that machine is insanely impressive. I can't believe you weren't tipping it forward with the boom up high carrying those heavy loads.
Another great use of the boom! One thing I've found, which I think you subconsciously were doing, is being able to place material more precisely with the boom rather than the less precise/jerky positioning with wheels/tracks motion.
I doubt it goes back... Prolly buy it from them. It seems to be a very nice unit. I like a Kubota myself but that extendable boom is one badass feature.
@@geobert7637 I was kind of thinking the same thing... But he said it was for a month. I bet they extend it to a few years and let him have more equipment when they realize how good this advertisement is
Great video Ryan and the JBC is a very nice machine. I used many different skid steers in the pass. Really like the performance of the JBC you are using. Anyhow thanks for your hard work Ryan and your 🎥 crew lol
Ryan , some helpful hints. when traveling with the machine especially with a load in the bucket keep the bucket as low to the ground as possible. Also keep your tracks cleaned out especially with winter coming on.
My father and I got a farm with just a few animals and we had an old loader mostly for moving corn and wheat. We bought last year a new telehandler and I believe every word you say. Having more hp, bigger lifting capacity, longer reach makes a huge difference. Even 4wd is nice. The only drawback is, that it uses a more fuel.
Great video...that thing is a beast...as I said in your first video and I see a lot of others saying,...you will miss that thing when you have to give it up at the end of 30 days...but hey...you're learning from it...and getting a lot done with it...for free and giving them advertisement...win/win.
I seen picks on jcbs site were they could dig a dith with the boom extended you could if it were safe to do so you could dig those soft spots in the retention pond out while keeping the jcb on solid ground.
That machine is a beast, you would be a step ahead to purchase it. Just the work you can do with it is unlimited. Great video 👍 keep them coming Ryan, oh tell your brother like his videos, but he needs to put a little more flare in them. You guys are a great source for information.
Sweet machine you got there. I got a 98 f763 bobcat n its been my back saver for sure. I am jealous that you have that tele feature, n probably get yourself unstuck manyyy times. Have you ever had this specific JCB in snow? Probably have different track for snow, as I use chains n I get by good on snow. Thanks Ty
I live in the Savannah area, just a few minutes from where that was built at the JCB plant.. A friend of mine works on the line for the skid loaders, so he most certainly had a hand in building the one you are using.
Mud, mud, mud. What a glorious thing! I think you'd have more luck with an excavator (even a mini like Cotontop3's or Letsdig18's) to salvage the soil in the retention pond. That's not to say that the Teleskid does a bad job; an excavator is just a little bit more purpose-built for the task of digging out holes. Oh well, it did what you needed it to do, and you got out of the muck. Edit: just think of the bonfire you could have with all those old trees you moved out of the way.
all and all a good mini ex with a thumb and a wide smooth ditching bucket on the farm is by far a lot more handier then any ski loader, i have rented both, but have come to realizes over the years, a cab mini ex with a good built thump and a wide smooth ditching bucket make faster and shorter work, with everything from barn an stall/yard cleaning, hay and straw moving, feeding to making drainage and demolition to fence post very smooth and fast, even taking big 1200 Lb round bales in to feed is a snap, you pick one up and set one edge on the blade and go, no rocking like in a ski steer, pick it up and drop it into the feeder, and rip the bale a part a little in the feeder
As you by now have probably determined, a compact track loader can/will outwork any of your tractors or wheeled skidsteers by an order of magnitude for the work that you were doing. They’re no good for plowing, mowing grass, kinda suck at plowing, but will be a go to machine if you end up keeping it. You’ll keep thinking of new uses, and oddly enough your forks will probably become your most used attachment. It’s an awesome lift for servicing your other equipment... Do yourself a favor and keep the loads close to the ground-you can move a lot faster safely. I hope JCB makes you an offer you can’t refuse-that tele-boom is pretty neat, and good luck!
Ryan love the video......sometimes a new machine is worth the extra it cost because it is so functional in so many applications. You should consider just keeping it but I don't know what it costs. From my time on the farm I wish we had one that's for sure. Thanks for the video. Ron

I have never been a big fan of JCB equipment. Their older stuff was very cheaply built. But their newer equipment has gotten a lot better. I really like their smaller excavators (12,000 to 25,000lb range) but I absolutely love this skid loader design.
2:12 i've had to look twice - that red pin is an indicator, right? Extended means unlocked, and retracted means bucket lock engaged. How reliable is it - is it goof-proof? Can it be indicated "locked", but the operator approached the bucket somehow crooked, or something? I mean, does it distinguish between a "lock engaged" state and "actually locked"?
So far it’s been pretty foolproof. I went on a bucket that is a little too small to lock properly on this unit, and only one side would lock in place while the other didn’t. The indicator never showed it was locked
I suspect all skid steers will be single arm in the near future and might have been by now if they could get around the patent. Doesn't anyone burn wood around there? Maybe pile the wood in the middle of a field and burn it. Good potash.
I have wondered why this design hasnt been copied yet. Jcb has had one armed machines since the 90's that i know of and nobody else has attempted to copy it, even the Chinese. Of course the telescoping design is totally new and because of the single mounting point for the boom, it will probably last a long time, unlike some of their vertical reach machines that can get a ton of slop in them after a few years. Hopefully jcb has learned from that and is using better bushings.
You might end up buying that machine at the end of your trial period. LOL!!! I know, I know it's an expensive machine but look at the versatility of it over a regular skidsteer!! Wow, won me hands down......
Ryan you have any plans at all for all that dead wood? Honestly all I see it being used for is bonfire materiel or you could chip it up and use it in a wood stove.
I’ve operated a skid steer with joystick drive and it wasn’t what i expected. I am more used to the lever drive skidsteers but it is just a learning curve
I have a Gehl 5635 and would love to have one of these. It’ll be on all of them within a few years, at least as an option. Telehandlers have had options for attachments for years. I like the JCB 505 model for an all around machine.
I really want to try one of these!! I operate a CAT 246C, and I really like my machine, but having telehandler capabilities, as well as a side door would be awesome. It would be so nice to be able to have the boom up and be able to get out to do things!
Sounds crazy but JCB Should honestly give you this unit or give you an insane deal on one for all this advertising. Guarantee they will sell more units off of your videos compared to any of their recent marketing strategies.
unlike a good cab mini ex with a thumb, you can get all the roots out that the others leave behind just to grow again, and the mini ex can do a lot faster and better job
Those telebooms have their place for sure, but standard boom skidsteers can be a lot more compact and smaller sized. It does seem that the single boom design needs to be beefy to be able to handle everything without having possibility of twisting and such, not to mention the frame and weight of the machine to be able to handle the loads. Perhaps that's what we will see one day - larger skidders will only be with telescoping boom, while smaller skidders will retain the original design.
Track machines are way better when wet. But for 90% of your usage im guessing you go wheel. Its hard to justify the cost. if you really need tracks buy an excavator to do all cleaning. You can probably get a nice wheel skid steer and a decent mini for same cost as that jcb

Looks like a cool machine but usually with construction equipment you have to give up something to get something that’s just engineering, I know when I was looking for a track skid steer I could find a lot cheaper units but went with a used T300 with an OP weight of only 9702 lbs it can unload a pallet of sacked concrete and that’s a must? The big 3TS-8T op weight is 12616 lbs so hopefully it could do the same or better, well enjoy it good video

“I’m currently stuck.” Lol. I always hate when I’m running equipment and I have to use that line. Tracks help with flotation a lot but when the ground is really wet, your machine just sinks with tracks or tires.
Andrew W. Couldn’t agree with you more. Some people I don’t think realize that the combo with how heavy that machine is plus the tracks are bare tracks plus the amount of rain we’ve had so far creating the underlying mud, the machine just sinks. But overall it’s an awesome machine.
That boom just makes a whole 'nother creature doesn't it? And being able to switch attachments from the cab is a nice feature when the weather is crap. I'd go with it. Bobcat's going to have to bring it up a notch as long as price isn't the determining factor.
You should have gotten the sky hook option lol There must be some FoMoCo parts in that Teleskid as it Forded that water hazard nicely & you know the 4 ways to spread info telephone, telegraph, teleskid & tell a woman Thanx from the left coast near the Krapitol of California
The water you see at 16:44 was from cleaning the tracks out. I didn't show any of it because the camera failed to record but I'll probably show cleaning it in another video

Hi Ryan are you gonna take a water hose spray off the mud your JCB
The water you see at 16:44 was from cleaning the tracks out. I didn't show any of it because the camera failed to record but I'll probably show cleaning it in another video
