So how do you know which wire to tie to gather?
Great question! I didn’t really address this, by here is how you know “If you have two black wires coming from the cord, check if it has smooth & ribbed sides. If it does, connect the smooth side to the black wire and the ribbed side to the white wire. The ground wire of the cord should be properly secured to the screw of the disposer.”
Hope that helps you and thanks for watching!!
ribbed is standard indicator of "white". You can also verify using an inexpensive $10 AC/DC multi-meter. Set to DC and run the continuity test. Touch the wide "white" prong then touch the bare wires. You can mark the "white" with a piece of white tape.
@@TheToughGuysTV This was exactly what I was needing to know. Thank you!
I would add a text box to the video so you don’t have to make the whole thing. But this is made clear since it is so important. Thanks!
After 4years your video is still teaching - Great video I referenced it numerous times during my install. In 2023 they include the power cord. I especially loved your little certified helpers.
Bought a unit from Lowes yesterday, was intending to have it installed by a plumber. Came across your video and reviewed it a couple of times to make sure I didn't miss any points and installed it today without a hitch. Thanks!
That’s awesome!! Glad the video helped you out and thanks for taking the time to share your experience. 🙏🏻
I know this post has been awhile and never leave comments but just had to say I found your video very educational and easy to follow for a woman and will be my first time doing any kind of plumb😅ing I don’t even plunge the toilet😂 but I find myself now that I’m home I like to do repairs , building , sewing . Anything I can do myself I feel proud . I don’t like asking anyone for help and your video made it easy so I’m off to purchase my disposal thank you for your lessons❤
So happy the video was able to help you out!!! One of my very first videos, so thankful it provided some good!
Wow, finally someone teaching something without any additional unnecessary side comments. I loved how you easily explained everything. That is the exact model I am installing. Thanks again for being to the point.
Thanks so much for the feedback! I try to keep it to the point without going too far off narrative. This is one of my oldest videos too, hopefully I'm still delivering value to my subscribers with new content!! Thanks for your support!
Thanks! Very clear, just the right speed and super helpful. I searched through a lot of videos and yours was the best!
Aaaaaaand mission accomplished. Pack it boys. We are going home.
Best installation video. Thank you.
Hey thanks so much for the kind words!! Glad to know one of my older videos still holds true - happy your install went well!
Thank you soooo much. Watching your video, I didn’t have to read the instructions one time…on point.
Great vid, straight to the point, clear explanations, well done with detailed shots, same one I got. keep up the good work!
Amazing thank you!! I just got mine installed thanks to the confidence I gained from your detailed video. A couple little things I would add: the snap ring is a beast. To get it on check out the guy who uses zip ties on the three screws to hold it open. Also much easier with a 2nd person holding down the flange while you fight with it. Also insinkerator seems to prefer shorter screws now for thick sinks. They had two screw sizes in the box. Also they offer a rubber washer to use and no mention of new plumbers putty. I decided I didn't trust their washer as I have a beveled hole in the sink. So I learned how to use the putty and made a gasket the old fashioned way. Finally, I had to adjust my drain line by pushing any "variable" pipes as far as they would go into the other pipe and it just baaarely fit. This unit is a fair bit wider than the badger it's replacing. Thanks again!
All great notes!! Thank you for taking the time to comment! This is one of my oldest videos so I'm glad it still holds relevant and is helpful. All the feedback is awesome, thanks again!
So helpful - thank you for taking the time to video your install. Made my life so much easier!
Thank you for this feedback!! One of my very first videos, so it’s glad to here it still serves people and is helpful, as that was my motivation to start the channel!
Thanks so much for the video. Super helpful! Hope all is well in North Texas. I'll be out there in a few weeks visiting my brother in Aubrey in Denton County. Thanks again!
Hey! Thank you for the comment! Enjoy your trip out!
Thanks for pointing out need for deeper sink flange and need for electrical supply! Your vid was really helpful and I replaced old KitchenAid with a Insinkerator Evolution Excel. Tidbit: I am a female and wasn't able to hold the disposal up while attaching. I used a car jack! It allowed be to align it and keep it in place while fighting everything.
The car jack is a great idea!!!! Way to go and I’m so glad the video was able to help you out! Thanks for watching and thanks for reaching out too! 🙏🏻💪🏻
Thanks for making such nice video, just finished replacing my garbage disposal, your video made my life easier !!
Glad it helped! And I appreciate you taking the time to let me know!!
Was about to throw away that paper washer 😅. Glad I stumbled on your video. Thanks bro 😎
Hey! Thank you! Glad the video helped out a bit 🤙🏻
I just purchased the same model from HomeDepot. Thanks to your excellent video, I know exactly what I need to do when I go to the store to pick it up tomorrow.
Awesome!! So glad to hear the video helped you out! Circle back here if you have any feedback after your install, especially if I missed anything. Thanks for watching and good luck with your install!
Awesome job. Thanks for the overview and clearly talking through each step. Just used your video to install same one! Thumbs up for you!
So glad the video helped you out!! And thank you for letting me know!
Great video,
I’ve one here at work leaking from the flange, said I’d watch a video during my lunch break to make sure I know the steps (it’s been a while)
Very detailed, well done
Thanks for the kind words! Glad the video was able to help you out!! 🙏🏻
Thanks for the kind words! Glad the video was able to help you out!! 🙏🏻
Thanks for the video, I recently installed the same unit, knew how to install it but still watched your video. Good instruction.
Thank you for watching and for taking the time to share the kind words!! This was my 2nd video ever, so I’m glad to know it was helpful!! 🙌🏻🙏🏻
Thank you sir, I watched your video then installed one an hour later, made the job easy
Thanks for the comment and so glad the video helped you out! 💪🏻
Thanks for making this great, instructional video! I'll be installing the same disposal unit in a couple of days and your video makes it look easier than I thought it would be. Really fun to see your kids helping out and adding a bit of humor to the video as well. They must be growing up fast by now. I just subscribed. Thanks again!
Thank you so much for this comment! Sorry it took me so long to see it, I really appreciate the support and glad the video helped you out!
thanks for the video! I just saw the pinned comment about wires. The only issue I had was the dishwasher drain line was pretty tough to remove but channel locks did the trick.
Just upgraded mine from a basic one on 12 years to a higher end one like yours. Lovely video, lovely explanation and how to. Thank you.
So glad the video helped you out!
@@TheToughGuysTV Yes. Thank you, now I’m getting rid of more waste than we could with the other 🤗
Thank you for this video. I bought the evolution select(today)and was having some slight technical difficulties hanging the unit, but after watching the video I realized that I didn't get screws to sit all the way in. Piece of cake after the video.
So glad the video helped out! Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment!
Really great video, swapped my sisters unit in about an hour and a half with no drama.
Nice!! Glad the video was able to help you out!! Thanks for the comment as well!
Thanks for the video. I'd installed one of those 5/8HP Evolution models last night as an upgrade to the 1/2HP Badger. I didn't appreciate how the instructions failed to make it clear that this unit's baffle actually fits into the sink and not into the thick rubber soundproofing grommet at the top lip of the unit, nor under the sink opening as you can not jam both rubber pieces together & have it fit the locking ring mechanism... My old disposer had the baffle pre-molded into that top grommet sitting inside the disposal lip. Duhhhhh! I really felt like making some of the gestures your kids were making, but mine were profanity laced!
Thanks for the comment Doug! I definitely edited out my profanity that's for sure!!
you make it look easy putting on the ring, however most people aren't that good so I recommend having someone else hold the drain flange down from the top on the inside as you put ring on from underneath. its very important that you tighten screws evenly or the ring will come off, also you get an Allen wrench type tool with the disposal that unjambs the disposal from the bottom , I like to use two of the wrenches to put in two holes in mounting bracket, its also critical that it CLICKS on otherwise it will vibrate off.
All good notes! Thanks for sharing and for watching! 👍🏻
Just bought and installed the current 3/4 horsepower version of this, they now include the power cord and the additional drain tube. They also include a ring for the flange to replace the use of putty. Sounds like they watched your video LOL
Thank you VERY MUCH for your Video!!! I have never done this before and Followed you step by step and everything went Great!!! Appreciate all YOUR time and Efforts!!!
Robert, you are very welcome and I’m so happy to hear my video helped you out on your install!! Thank you also for taking the time to let me know, I appreciate that very much!!
This video was awesome, just what I needed to install my new garbage disposal. Thank you so much for the great information. It Rocked
Thanks so much for the support! Truly appreciate it!
Great walkthrough! Thanks for saving me a couple hours and some knuckle skin.
Glad the video helped!!! There are def some knuckle scraping moments with this install for sure!! Thanks for watching!
Thanks man your video helped me a lot, I was kind of nervous jumping into replacing my garbage disposal but after watching your video I went ahead and tried doing it by myself. Success!!
I Appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment and let me know, it’s one of my oldest videos so happy to hear it’s still helping people out. Glad your install went well!
Thank you, a very clear presentation. Your power cord-plug combination is a great choice. This way we saved the work on making a new power socket box.
Thank you for the feedback and for watching!! Glad we were able to assist you on your install!!
Just got the same one, thanks so much, spot on installation. Took me a bit, but got it in.
Glad the video helped you out! Great stuff! Thanks for the comment
Thanks for taking the time to put together such a great video.

thanks again! I subscribed! You are an excellent instructor!
Mary, thank you so much for the feedback!!! I love hearing that my videos are informative and helpful for others! Thank you so much, it means the world to me that you subscribed!! 🙏🏻🛠♥️
This video is fantastic. As an interior designer I need to know how things get put together so I'm specifying the right depth sink for example to fit an Insinkerator disposal. I wanted to know how everything gets connected and how much space this disposal takes up. Well done Tough Guys!
Thanks so much for the Comment Gretchen - Truly grateful you took the time to share your thoughts. I'm glad the video was able to help you out, and with it being one of my oldest videos, I hope I've continued to deliver that same experience the last few years (And continue to do so well into the future). Thanks again!!
Thanks. Your video helped allot. Much appreciated.
Thank you for this video my disposal didn't come with any instructions and this worked out perfectly you got yourself a new subscriber 👍
Alex thanks so much for letting me know and I’m so glad it was able to help you!!! And thank you for subscribing!!! I hope you can find value in our other stuff as well 🙏🏻💪🏻🙌🏻
Exactly what I needed to know. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for taking the time to comment, and for watching!
I bought this a Home Depot a couple of weeks ago in Maryland and it came with the power cord kit.
Mary that’s awesome!! Maybe they started including it in packages now! That’s really cool! Thanks for watching and I hope your install goes / went well!! 💪🏻🙏🏻
This video was super helpful- thanks for taking the time to make this!
Thanks Zac!! Much appreciated! Glad the video helped you out and I hope the disposal works great for you too! 🙏🏻
absolutely terrific. I like how you get to the point and video that is in focus. Well dome.
Thanks for the feedback! I appreciate it! 🙏🏻
The video was helpful... but, I don't recall seeing you use the bent allen wrench to tighten up the insinkerator. So it is really just barely hanging in there... use it for leverage to rotate the mounting piece clockwise... at 18:34 you can see that it wasn't in tight.
Might not have shown the detail there but it’s worked perfectly for years now, so guessing it’s good.
@@TheToughGuysTV I hear you... and, it helped me put the parts in the right order... but I tightened my down... this step... ruclips.net/video/fM6b78LGYHU/видео.html not to be mean... I just know I would want mine on a bit tighter.
Thanks dude. Bought the same model and used your video as reference as I hardwired mine and it was a replacement for and older busted Kenmore/Insinkerator. model so I reused the old mount without issue.
Thanks for the comment and I’m glad my video was able to help you out!! That’s awesome!! I appreciate you taking the time to let me know, helps me know how I can improve / keep on keeping on etc! 💪🏻🤘🏻🙏🏻

Dude, you just saved my day with this tutorial. Thank you immensely! Subscribed.
Thanks so much for the comment!!! Glad the video helped you out! Got a great Christmas build underway now - couple of new videos coming soon!! 🙏🏻
I installed this yesterday and used this video to hear what the disposal is supposed to sound like while running. Mine makes a slight rattling, same as yours, so I'm no longer concerned. Thanks!
Awesome!! So glad the video was able to help you out!! I appreciate the comment as well!
Thank you for your help, much appreciated.
Thanks for the video! Way more helpful than the instruction manual tbh. Did it matter which wire I connected to which? I connected each copper wire from the power cord to one of the wires coming from the unit and it turned on just fine so I guess I did it correctly but also don’t want to burn down my house lol
So glad the video helped you out!! There is a method to how to attach the wires, you may have gotten lucky, I don’t think it would operate if backwards. I think I may have a comment explaining it, but basically one of the two sides of the all black wire does go to the neutral and it’s marked by a ridge on the wire itself (from memory here, I remember looking into it back then). Good luck and hope the unit works for you!
Thanks, it was very helpful. I'm installing one the end of this week, and am more comfortable with your video.
Steven, thanks for the feedback and I hope your install goes smoothly!! Let me know how it turns out and thank you for watching!! 👍🏻
I just installed a disposal this week. The hardest part for me was holding it up
to engage the locking ring. It took a couple of tries but I got done. I am age
70 so I guess my arms are getting wimpy !!
Congrats on the install Thomas!! And I'm so glad the video was able to help you out - I really appreciate you sharing the note!! This is one of my oldest videos, so it's really good to hear it still helps people out even now!
Thanks for the tutorial, helped me get mine set up. Keep it up and earned my subscription!
Thanks for watching and for subscribing Jason!!! Truly appreciate the support and I’m glad my video helped you with your project!! We’ve got an upload happening today in fact, so we will keep them coming! Thanks again

Great video. Good pacing.
Thank you!! Glad you liked the video!
Great video! Fun too, keep going! Make more!
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed the video!
Thanks you for sharing.
Thank you for watching!
I find when knocking out a plug like the one for the dishwasher drain, it is easiest to use a 6 inch socket extension with a socket just under the size of the tube. Just a tip, do with it what you will.
Thanks for sharing the tip Doug, much appreciated! Thanks as well for checking out the video! 🙏🏻
Awesome video. Congrats. Very detailed.
Thanks for the feedback, and for watching - much appreciated! I hope the video gave some value! 💪🏻
Hi, great video. I watched over again and again with the dishwasher adapter. Did you use the adapter? How did you manage to get the hose tight fit on the disposal and clamp it down?
Thanks for the Video Shipmate.
Thanks for watching! Full transparency I was not personally in the navy, the ship tattoo is for my grandfather - was my mentor, best man I've ever known - was my tribute to him. I appreciate greatly all those who have served.
Looks good. The only suggestion was to mention the Air Gap or high loop for the dishwasher drain line.
Thanks for the feedback and for watching! I did a sort of “part 1” to this video showing how we hooked up the sink plumbing and I discussed the drain for the dishwasher more there. You are right as it would’ve been more beneficial to edit some of that into this video - I was trying to get the length down and didn’t think to leave that here when splitting them apart. I appreciate the thoughts and again thank you for watching!!

thanks for this video. easy to understand. thumbs up and bell ring for more video
Thank you for watching! I appreciate the feedback!!
Great video, your "helpers" were super adorable. Installing the same model soon, how has it held up over the few years since install?
It held up great for us! We moved about 7 months ago, but the disposal was awesome and operating well until the day we moved. Thanks for the kind words, so glad the video helped you out!
I recently installed my garbage disposal. One thing to watch for is the amount of putty used. I struggled for a day to get the disposal on the ring. There was too much putty that seeped down. Removing the excess from underneath gave me a fraction more space to get the disposals tabs to the ring. The instructions don't tell you to use putty and so probably not built into specs to allow for that so just beware of how much your using or just use the washer they give. Also using a scissor jack helped alot with raising the disposal in place.
This is great!!!
Thank you! Hope the video helped out!
Nice video and question for you. Can either end of the power cord connect to either of the wires of the disposal? I'm not talking about the ground, but just neutral and hot. Can both the neutral and hot connect to either side of the cord?
No one side is hot and other is neutral, you can tell by the texture on the cord sides normally which is which, def search for that online before trying to connect it
Hey. At 19:50 the rubber thing the you put, of course I got one too and it just slows down the water flow big time as compared to my old garbage disposal. In the old badger, that thing was attached to garbage disposal itself. With the one you installed, it sits from the sink side. Did you find a hack for it or you just deal with it? Thank you.
It’s been in place ever since we installed it. So far no major issues. Occasionally we get a bubble there which stops the flow of water, but I just poke through and water starts to flow again. Thanks for reaching out and thanks as well for checking out the video!
At 14:27 you didn't mention that the tabbed retaining ring had to be turned to tighten the unit to the upper drain. Almost looked like it was supposed to pop into place.
Thanks. This is very helpful!
Thank you for the feedback and for watching!! So glad I could help you on your install!!!
Good job! FYI, often in new construction a thoughtful contractor will provide loose wiring directly to appliance locations. Why plug/outlet wiring is an option.
Absolutely! I agree for sure, I build new construction projects in my regular work duties - thanks for the comment!
I didn't realize about the long depth ring. I'm replacing a disposal so if there is already a deep one there can I just reuse that one?
You may be able to re use it if it all lines up and fits. definitely worth a try before buying a new one! Good luck!
Luckily the deep one wasn't necessary.
Shaka bra! Appreciate the tips!
Thank you for the comment!! 💪🏻
Thank you Dude! Bought the same one ($$$) yesterday and was so happy to find your post. Just getting ready to start in. Not sure which side is up on the rubber drop in thing-a-ma-jig, it looks like it comes packed upside down? Oh, and yes they're packing the power cord now (BFD).
That’s awesome that they are including the power cord! A lot of guys that install these all the time don’t think it’s a bid deal they weren’t - but normal everyday people DO think it’s weird to not have a power supply included... I mean, what else do you buy that doesn’t in everyday life!? I’m glad the video helped you out, and I really appreciate you letting me know!!

@@TheToughGuysTV LOL! I took the electrical all apart when I noticed the nut was still on the romex connector, only to find that it threads into the base on it's own.
Great video! My question is: is that paper washer really necessary??
Yes you definitely want to use all the washers included. Good luck with the install!
Just about to install this exact unit. Thx so much for the great run through!
Stan, thank you for the feedback and for watching our video!! I hope your install goes great!!! Check out the sink plumbing video as well if you need anything for the sink faucet or connections there. 👍🏻💪🏻
this was very helpful
Thank you so much!! I really hope my video helped with your install, and thank you so much for watching!!
The locking ring is commonly known as a hose clamp. If you went to a hardware store, you’d ask for a hose clamp of whatever size you need. Hope that helps.
Thanks for the notes!! Much appreciate!
Hi, thanks for the video, very good. I have 3 questions:
May connect the dishwasher drain somewhere else in the drainpipe instead of the disposer?
May I connect the regular white wire directly to the motor instead of adding the black wire?
Do I have to put a turn on switch as shown in the video?
Thanks for attention.
Henry
Henry, thanks for reaching out! Disclaimer here - I am not a licensed plumber or electrician!
1. I'm not sure if you can connect somewhere else per manufacturer spec, but as long as it's draining into your drain pipe it should theoretically be ok.
2. I would recommend connecting to power as it's written in instructions - I can't physically see your situation, so I don't want to recommend something possibly detrimental.
3. You'd definitely want to wire the electrical to a switch, otherwise it would run all the time. Some people have push buttons on the countertop, and others have a switch down under the sink - it's really up to you.
Thanks for checking out the video and for reaching out! Good luck!
I just bought that exact model and it included the power cord.
That’s great! Maybe they sell it with it included now! Thanks for checking out the video
@@TheToughGuysTV funny thing was, I had to hard wire, so I didn’t need the power cord.
The reason a chord with a plug was not provided could be due to the fact that some installations could be hard wired. I live in Florida where dishwashers and disposals are plugged in via an outlet under the sink (the disposal plug controlled by a wall switch). Not the case in New York, where, in my mother's house, the dishwasher was hard wired (no disposal in use). Not having the power chord included with the disposal saves on the possible waste of discarding a perfectly good power chord only because a particular installation requires hard wiring.
I think an easy solution may be to have some sold with or without, and then separated within retail locations. I am a GC in my professional life, and my plumbers do not purchase from retailers - so having the wholesale locations carry the w/o cord version would eliminate the issue you’re describing pretty easy. Then have retailers carry with or without, and educate staff to explain to customers (or have good signage / collateral to read). How many people buy one, then end up having to go all the way back to the store because they need it and no one told them so? Thanks for the thoughts and for watching, I really appreciate the conversation!! 🙏🏻💪🏻
I viewed all comments & no one mentioned anything about the lack of a cover for all your openings for the penetrating pipes/tubing or hoses in the bottom of the baseboard! Glad its not my place. But, I still think there was some worth while FYI.
Thanks for the notes 👍🏻
I am going to give it a try myself. The plumber wanted 150$ to do it.
Good luck with the install Brian!! I hope the video helps with your install!! Let me know how it goes and thank you for watching! 💪🏻🙏🏻
My previous pipe does not fit (it is about one inch too long) to acomodate the disposal. How do shorted the pipe? Also, the black tubing from the dish washer does not reach to around to the top drain port that you had to hammer a screw driver through the plastic. Can that be extended easily or should a plumber be called?
Ben, when you say “previous pipe” are you referring to the drain pipe under the sink or the drain flange for the sink itself? As far as the dishwasher tubing you can purchase new / different lengths but knowing how much water can go through a dishwasher I’d recommend getting a plumber involved if you are at all unsure. Always side with caution when potential flooding is involved while playing with plumbing systems. I hope I was of some help and good luck!! 👍🏻
Ben - here was my companion video that may be helpful. This was us setting up the kitchen sink drain and faucet - How to Install Kitchen Sink Drain & Faucet ruclips.net/video/jflpKgwRbC8/видео.html
No clamp on the other side pf the dishwasher hose?
Where does quiet collar go? Ontop of sinkhole or on insinkerator before fastening to sink?
I placed it inside the hole after fastening the sink. It was basically the last step I'm pretty sure. Thanks for reaching out!
At 4:30, how do you know which wire connects with which? Thanks.
Great question! There has been some discussions additionally in the comments on this video but to sum it up - The wire with the ribbing or stripe is the neutral wire, and the other one is hot. The two sides of the small stranded wire coating will usually have 'ribbing' or marks you can feel - that side is the neutral. If you don't see any markings on the wires, and the plug has two prongs of equal size, the cord is not polarized.
Does this disposal have a little flex when the flange is completely installed? I just installed mine and everything went together good, however, I can grab it and wiggles a little. No leaks. All the tabs in the locked position.
I can't say mine has any 'give' or 'wiggle' to be honest. It's pretty secure. If I put some force on it, I can get it to twist a little bit but not sure if that's exactly what you're experiencing. If unsure, try to see about getting a direct opinion from a local plumber maybe just to be sure - better safe than sorry. Thanks for checking out the video and good luck!
It definitely has some play, both at the basin/trap, and at the discharge outlet. I assume this helps quiet the unit when installed.
I have this disposal. Problem I have is that my dishwasher cuts off when I turn my disposal on. I have an insinkarator box that both are plugged into. What can cause this problem?
Could be a short overrunning the circuit? I’d recommend having an electrician check it out or an appliance repair specialist - could be a few different things causing it. Good luck
Doesn't the instructions require the disposal to be LOCKED to the locking ring? You appear to leave it loose. In fact, I believe a pair of channel locks is used to pull the disposal tight onto the ring to lock SOLIDLY in place.
It is locked and secured in place on our end. No movement of the unit whatsoever. I may not have done a good job of showing that, it was quite difficult to record underneath. You can physically feel it seat into place and it’s good to go. Thanks for watching and for the comment!
i dont like that , that black rubber is the only thing that holds the mount onto the garbage disposal... seems like u could just pull it down if u really wanted to...how does yours feel?
It’s been 100% sturdy since day one, no issues. Been about 2 years now. There is a locking bracket that is attaching the ‘throat’ / drain to the locking collar I believe - when it’s all attached it’s sturdy! Thanks for reaching out!
They now have a tab on the ring that locks into plastic on the motor... You can't rotate it to the exact place like you can on the old models...
Kind of sucks he didn't show how to get it mounted...actually get the disposal to hang...skipped over, the very thing I would like to see as it seems it's hard to get it on. Wonder what I'm doing wrong.
does it come with a switch to turn it on
It does not come with a switch in the box, it will need to hardwire to a j-box or you will plug in the included cord to a plug receptacle that is switch controlled (in my experience). Sometimes it may be a switch located under your counter, in the sink base cabinet but in our case we had a plug in that cabinet that was switch controlled by a switch in the backsplash.
That nut on the Romex connector is not supposed to be removed, it works differently than you think it does. Read the directions, folks, that's why they included them in the cord assembly kit.
Thanks for the advice - I felt I had a good connection, maybe I’m incorrect - definitely not an expert just went with what worked.

Tricky part is hanging the unit for me!
That part gave me some grief as well, not fun to be inside a sink cabinet either! I had the diva table of video editing on my side! 😂 I hope the video helped you out and thanks for watching!!! 💪🏻
I used a car jack to position it in place. It was too heavy and the jack moved when I needed it too...And kept it steady while fighting it.
does that stupid rubber flange ever get loose and fall into the unit and get ground up? I cant believe it just loads from the top and stays there forever??? Whats up with that?
We haven’t had any issues on our end with it since the install, but yeah that’s a good point!! It occasionally gets a bubble or something and it seems as though there may be a clog.. but it’s never the case - just a soap bubble! 😂🤘🏻 Thank you for watching the video!!!!
@@TheToughGuysTV Thanks for the reply, I just finished installing the 1 hp ss model.. and no leaks.. yahoo.. but I had to consult youtube on the rubber flange/dampener thingy.. I guess it sits in there ok.. we'll see.. thanks for the upload
Dude how’s the Vigo sink treating you? I bought one but after feeling the material...it seems super soft and worried it will scratch easily. I tested it on the back with a screw driver, but the back doesn’t have the polish/coating. I did the same to a fireclay and it didn’t scratch. I like the Vigo better though for its sloped bottom (better drainage). Would really appreciate any input. Thank you!
Sink has held up really well so far - a little bit of discoloring around the drain, but other than that all good - about 2 years now. Thanks for checking out the video I appreciate it! 💪🏻
Cute kids ❤️
Thank you! They are the best!! Thanks for watching! 🙏🏻
