  • I am replacing a worn out Insinkerator Badger 500 with a new Evolution compact garbage disposal. This is a very string forward installation, it took me less than 20 minutes and only simple hand tools are needed. I already had a "Insinkerator" brand disposal installed so I didn't need to use the included flange, the new one just mounted up easily to the existing flange.

Thanks! Putting liquid soap on the top rubber part of the disposer to make it slippery is a hidden gem and a nice trick of the trade that help me with this installation. I found this after my second attempt - 3rd attempt with the soapy rubber and it slid in there REEEAL NICE LIKE! ;)

this is perfect, I have the exact same setup, as your previous disposal, and now the same exact new one. Nice to see how easy this is and even happier I don't need to replace the sink side I can use the same hardware! Thanks for the video

Well done. I'd only add that you'd want to make sure the Down-angle didn't change off the insinkerator to your P-trap, you wouldn't want nasty water still sitting in your disposal. I feel the hardest part is getting the Flang Snap-ring on to the mounting bracket, but you didn't do that as part of your video (no sink drain replacement) and that's fine. :)

Thank you for the video. I changed my original one which was installed in 2005 by badger about 8 years ago. So exactly same setup like yours, I am going to change the top clamp since I did not change 8 years ago. Hopefully it is going to be an easy job.

Hey Paul, thanks for another informative vlog.
You can keep a mango tree in a container indefinitely as long as you know as to when to root prune it. You can keep using the same pot over and over again. With that said, you need to study the type and growth habit of the mango tree that you are going to put in a container. Timing is very important to do this. This is done many times by Bonsai gardeners and Bonsai artist. Hope this helps. Thanks for the video.

You kinda skipped the part I was looking for, which is how the appliance gets attached to the ring. Since I'm replacing a 1 HP unit which weighs about 112 pounds, that part would've been nice.

@@Myksgarage Pretty close. Have you ever tried to hoist a 19 pound object under a stinky sink, get it to seat perfectly, put the tabs in exactly the right spot and then get those little tabs to slide up those little ramps? Of all the videos out there on disposal replacement, one video showed what goes where. One. And the guy in the video used a car jack to get his 3/4 HP disposal into position because it was too heavy for him to hoist.
Also, the new Insinkerators have a new easy plug-in design for their cords.

I was disappointed that your video was to show installing a disposal. However your video didn't actually show you putting the new one on. 90 more seconds and it would have been prefect.
