Yes that little one is going to make you up size. In 1994 we sailed with our 6 month old daughter in a car seat wedged between the settee and the oval table on our Beneteau 351. It was only for 10 days with port stops. Our daughter loved it rocking her all the way. She never complained. As soon as the rocking started she was out in a few minutes. With that big cockpit table on the Oceanis series we could change here right in the cockpit. Kept a diaper bag up behind the dodger when she was topside. Three handed sailing; Mom, Dad and Autopilot. Only thing is, the Autopilot can’t hold the baby 👶.

Saturday night! Bars are Covid closed 😭. Normally we would put on a movie. Instead having some wine and catching up on episodes. Between the Bogle Caberet and Lauren's fantastic editing I feel like am there. 🍻
Only have several weeks cruising under my belt but I do remember lots of hot sticky moments and the totally amazing feeling of a real fresh-water shower when we made landfall. That was _so_ amazing. Great video - it so totally captures the feeling.
Lauren is becoming an accomplished drone pilot. Well done! Starting to fit in the cruising community too. They do make all terrain long boards btw. 51 years old and still skate my self! Fair winds!

This video has to be over a year old. I had no idea you were that far behind, but it was nice seeing what it used to look like before the hurricane. We have been planning to go back, but the logistics are formidable, and I'm not sure we want to see it right now.

It's easy to for us who aren't in the reality of your life to assume away these really important gritty details. Nice drone footage, Lauren, glad you are comfortable flying it! Also thanks for sharing your concern about getting help in case the surfing turned ugly. Again, that's a detail that we armchair folks don't think about. You're doing great work, thank you for letting us participate vicariously!

Glad that your surf session was good. I have a friend who was attacked by a shark at that exact same break just 3.5 years ago and she was lucky to have survived. Fortunately she was with her husband and another guy who had a car and they were able to get her to medical care right away. She ended up with over 100 stitches but no lasting disability.
We arrived at the Beneteau Rally in Deltaville Va. with the little one and she was christened the Beneteau Baby. Her and mom were in the next years Beneteau Brochure. Kinda cool 😎
Wow I can’t believe you guys don’t have a shower! That’s one of the pure pleasures on my Beneteau 393. Go into my own head and turn on the hot water and just melt under that spray. It does suck up all the water. You need a bigger boat.

Lauren, you can use dishwashing detergent (Sodium Laureth Sulfate) as shampoo and wash out with saltwater (when saltwater is the only option). It works fine for washing out salt-grime and it doesn´t ruin your hair, as long as you don´t do it every day. Just don´t get it in your eyes.
I'm in Brissie, but why limit them to QLD, there is awesome coastline in the other states too, pretty much the entire coast of Australia is good for all 3.

What is the latest news on Chris and his Surf Cottage? Was it destroyed in the storm? Has he rebuilt? Between you and Free Range Sailing, I don’t know who has the better meals.. You had me salivating throughout this episode.
It did sound like Chris owned the place listening to our dialog over again, but he was just renting. Unfortunately we have no info on the Surf Cottage. The eye of the storm was very close to that location and caused severe damage to just about everything nearby.
This was soooooo relaxing to watch, and nostalgic. Spent time at Billy's Stone Crab rooftop bar in Tierra Verde, Florida. The view was similar. Thanks for re-kindling the memories.
Used to have a house there halfway down the island, harbor side. Epic sunsets. Doesnt look like much has changed. Is most of the damage cleaned up from the hurricane? Looks in good shape!
