      Hi, could you take too much vitamin D? Because my doctor told me to stop taking my prescribed vitamin D because I have taken over the normal limit. So I stopped and noticed my hair was coming out again - so I started taking the vitamins again. Is it true that we can take too much vitamin D?

    Most people are deficient in Magnesium. There are 7 different forms which are needed for heart, muscles, sleep, depression & other benefits. So Google which is best for you. Mg Citrate is most common & it helps with constipation. I take Mg. Glycinate for depression & sleep. I do NOT need Mg citrate! 😂

    • @vastya.3255
      @vastya.3255 10 месяцев назад +4

      I take citrate for my sleep, I don’t look at the different functions because I believe it’s marketing, I take the types that are most bio-available, if a body is deficient in a certain type, it can use enzymes to build the form you need if enough nutrients are available, people think of citrate as a laxative, it doesn’t make me go 😂 my bowel movements are normal so instead it’s helped with my sleep and overall calmness

    • @Mindthatbiz
      @Mindthatbiz 10 месяцев назад +2

      Aside from the purpose for it being taken the bioavailability matter so that’s why citrate and biglycinate are most common because they’re most bioavailable to be absorbs. Also make sure to take with vit c for a more efficient absorption

    My hair has been falling out since 14 and I’m 41 now, never knew the reason, I just lived with it because my hair was always pretty thick, well now my hair was falling out way more to where I can see my scalp, just shedding like crazy, so I know since I have extremely heavy menstrual cycles that I probably should’ve been taking iron, also I don’t really eat dairy and don’t drink it, so I started taking Viviscal scalp nourish and then the hair one plus vitamin d3 along with gentle iron and I can say it’s been about a month and my hair hasn’t shed nearly as much! I need to get my nutrient levels checked but I’m pretty sure I’m deficient in those two areas. Also a fun fact, Nizoral, the one with the fungal ingredient ketoconazole, leave it on your scalp for 5 to 10 minutes when washing hair, it’s proven but unknown to why it helps with hair growth and it helps aid hair shedding! Also it was shown to increase the diameter of the hair follicle as early as 21 days of use! I got a bottle last week and used a scalp scrubber to massage the shampoo in. Also I started using Mielle’s mint rosemary. I’m not positive which one is helping me or if it’s all of them but I know I’m not stopping nan one of these 😂 Hopefully it’ll get even better over time and I hope this helps someone who took the time to read all of this 😝 Women helping women, I loves it!

    I figured I was deficient when I began to battle unpredictable bouts of depression (winters were the worst). I started supplementing regularly in March and fast forward to now, not only is my depression a lot less severe but I even have a line of demarcation about 3.5 to 4 inches down the shaft of my hair with new growth being significantly thicker/healthier. This vitamin deficiency was/is definitely interfering with my length retention. I’m almost ready to cut at the line; there’s nothing I can do to stop the breakage, absolutely nothing.

    Hello Tonya, I hope all is well. Do you have any videos for those with TWA’s? I just cut my bra strap length hair to start over again. I have high porosity hair. My curls are really juicy/defined on wash day. But the next day or two it’s just basically a fro. Would re moisturizing it with a leave in everyday be harmful? And cause hygral fatigue? My hair isn’t long enough to do a protective style so it’s like I’m stuck with having to moisturize it everyday for my hair to be curly or wear an afro everyday except wash day. Which I prefer not to do the latter. But I also don’t want to further damage my hair with moisture overload.

      @@tashajones3661 Sure! Dr. Berg, a chiropractor- not a doctor of medicine, is also a devout member of the Church of Scientology and contributes significant funds (millions of $$$) to it. As Scientology has been subject to debate regarding its cult-like, abusive, and dangerous practices, I view purchasing products from Dr. Berg as indirectly supporting the church. It's important for consumers to be aware of this connection and make informed choices based on their own values and beliefs. I wish I could post links but feel free to google it and check it out.

    Thanks so much for your all of your informative videos, Tonya @CurlyChemistry. However, I do have a question regarding the D3 supplement that includes vitamin K2; I have a blood clotting disorder and is on Eliquis, will this supplement interfere with my Eliquis due to it containing vitamin K2? Or can I still benefit from just taking vitamin D3?

      D3 is under the vitamin D family, but it’s separate. It’s the more potent form of vitamin D. I recommend D3 with K2 for better absorption in capsule form.

    Great information in this video. My doctor has me taking vitamin d2 rather than d3 after finally getting my D level up to the range it should be in. I used to take d3 while taking the prescribed vitamin D but was advised to take d2 now since my levels are normal for maintenance. Is there any real difference with d2 vs. d3 other than d2 being plant based?
