Dan deserved to be healed and in a better life. He is without a doubt a true gentleman, willing to offer himself so that those who will be diagnosed will have better knowledge.

Hi Dan, I was 32 when diagnosed with cancer twice in 2016, just weeks apart. It wasn’t a metastatic cancer, it was two primary cancer sites. I’m not sure which is worse. I have no family history of cancer and my genetic testing came back negative. I am not sure how I happened upon your video but I share your sentiments about support. I found it in the most unlikely places, and those who I expected to be there for me were nowhere to be found. Young adult cancer falls into a weird grey area of support and awareness. It’s mostly middle aged and older, or sadly very young children, that we hear about. If I waited until I was 40 to get a mammogram, I may have been very worse off, or even dead. We are in the prime of our lives and I think we need to remind others that it can happen to us at any age and to care for and detect any changes in your own body!
That's very much like me :/ I am glad you got checked and sorted though :) I agree the support sucks and that there should be more for people our age to access to help. Mid life is a delicate age and having cancer can tear everything apart and lose you everything. I lost it all, my house, my relationships and everything I built up my whole life. Sucks. Don't want people to go through that if they don't need to :/
You have such a good heart and I honestly hope you recover and you live past your six month plan x

Great post. 5 months on , it's very evident you genuinely wish to educate share and humour people - as you go through the crappiest experience of cancer anyone could imagine. very heroic.
I have followed many you tubers journeys and believe me they have made a big difference on my outlook on life and how I should value mine. I want to tell you that, you are such a beautiful person and I'm so sorry you have this cancer. I'm hurt and didn't sleep last night thinking about you like many others I think about. We lost Asha Sharron and Emily Hayward who I really admired (from terminal illness) and learned from as I was their subscriber. Life is short but you are showing people like they had, how to live the best full life despite the hardship or illnesses that get in the way. I'll be here to always listen to your videos. Thank you for everything and I hope you read this.

You have such a brilliant bright personality with all that you are dealing with. Doctors only give you estimated guesses on ones life span they deal in facts. God above knows the date and time of our going home. Keep you're head up smile through it all cause you're doin this! I found you through Emily Haywards videos she mentioned you in one. Hi Daniel.. I've subscribed because I can so connect with what you are going through. The thought of surgery like what you have gone thru with local anaesthesia seems ludicrous... it's so invasive...I know as I've had similar. I've a different condition to you that ultimately ends with cancer by the time you are 50... but I am humbled by the number and extent of your surgeries and what is to come for you inevitably, and your acceptance of it at this early stage. I've had over 13 surgeries myself so far, many ended up with me in ICU... chronic pain 24/7... So many problems now to cope with. But whether people agree or not with me, I've decided that if/when I end up with cancer, I'm definitely not going to take any treatment at all as it just defers the outcome marginally and with the treatment anyway I'm going to be ill a lot anyway in they period of treatment. So wouldn't it be better for me to just wake up every day and take it as it is until I can't anymore. Why go through all this chemo and be sick all the time when it's not going to make any difference for me in the end??? And in taking this approach, the time I'll have left will be pain free, sickness free and I can have a good life in that period. And in the end, the time I am really ill will be shortened but I'll be able to look back at that point and say that I really enjoyed my "sickness free" time but that I am now going into a different phase they will inevitably come to us all anyway in some form or other. I feel positive, happy and glad to have made this decision carefully early on so that I can make the most of every moment I have now. Daniel, I'll be hoping for a good outcome from your scans and that you are one of those selected few who are cured. So never give up hope.. I don't despite my decision. Take care and looking forward to your next video... I checked about 20 times daily for your daily blog since I came across your channel 4 days ago. You're so inspirational... J
Thank you so much, I tend to post around 7pm every day my daily vlog and sometimes in the day an interlude if I have something come up. I prefer to do short vlogs that have meaning than to waffle for hours. We are making a bit of a documentary on it at the moment as well.
I am so sorry that you are unwell and have had surgery to, I hate the surgery part. I will say honestly now my pain level is very high at the moment, sometimes vlogging is the last thing on my mind but it distracts me :)
I don't know what the future hold and I am not sure what will happen but I am very positive and upbeat no matter what :)

Just found your channel today and subscribed. The Thomas family figures prominently on the Welsh side of my family tree, so I wouldn't be surprised if we're sixth or seventh cousins. Your message of connectedness and support for one another is so important--especially today--when we seem to be at odds with everyone over next-to-everything. Last week, I got a surprise knock on the door from a lady (whom I barely know) at a nearby church (which I do not attend); she'd brought me a surplus hot dinner "just because she was thinking of me". So I'll keep you in my thoughts every day--following her example.

I absolutely love your positive attitude!! The world needs more people like you! What a beautiful person you are 😍 inside and out! I lost my mum on 2nd February to stage 4 locally advanced cervical cancer, she was really unwell for little over a year and she didn't seek medical advice, even though I urged her to. The day she was diagnosed, she passed away only 3 hours after the consultant had broken the news to my brother and I. It was such a shock, but she's definitely inspired me to get my cervical smear test booked in! Which I've done! Anyway I'm rambling! You are amazing!! Huge hugs from penzance 🤗

It doesn’t matter how old you are any information, positive comments help people to stay positive, thanks for making people more aware as scary as it is we need to talk more about it &/be empathetic & kind for all those going through it & to help caregivers struggle with dealing with a loved one! Wonderful! I think you are doing the right thing accepting gifts and money - for whatever use. Dan the man.. I'm praying with you.. just had my 2nd post treatment scan...no same ol cancer but shadows of a new rare cancer .. maybe it's just one of those bright lights on my petscan.. that will turn out to be nothing.. nothing. We can hope. Praying for you !! Cancer is a prick !
Cancer is a prick for sure! I hate it. Makes me so damn sick. What type of cancer do you have? I'm stuck with mine now. The new tumor has only been 6 described in medical journals so bit hard to know what to do :/
God Speed Dan. Unfortunately wife has diagnosed with similar Cancer. Spindle Cell Sacomatoid carcogin Cancer. Had her left kidney, spleen, large part pancreas removed in July. Now the cancer has spread into lymph nodes, lungs. Oncologist will utilize Immunetherapy from here on in. We are aware of the odds. She is not afraid to die. We all are going to leave this earth one time. She is strong (46, runs 5x week, non smoker, lifts weights, professional engineer) tough, little angry as to why this cellular disease has attacked her. She has done everything by the book. R.I.P Dan.
