Life at The Sea is not as easy as seen... but the sense of gratification which you have been showing since your first assignment day to this portfolio always seems and shows us how you dare to live it and try to influence the young generation to come to chase their Merchant Navy Dream. Thank You Bhaiya for your Efforts and Dedication you have been putting apart from a busy, hectic, challenging schedule.... God Bless You and One more demand is that, you are pleased to write either a book on your Autobiography or a book on the in ground challenges you have been facing and what should be the precautionary steps to face it in both personal and Official way... God Bless YOU.. Love From Odisha ❤....
It's been interesting seeing some of these African ports up close and personal, it's always educational to explore the areas on google earth when watching the videos. It's always fun to see you get a little "rock 'n rollin", like what was so common on our smaller ships over a half century ago. I served on a 99m, flat bottom, WW2 LST (Landing Ship, Tank) back in the 1960s, went through everything from glass smooth to a full scale typhoon on it, that boat would rock like the music of the day... Keep up the good work, I enjoy your videos and would like to give a shout out for another very small channel..."Captain Sergiy Kostanovych"... short but beautiful videos and a really nice guy.
A second officer like you sir will make the cadet gain a lot of knowledge in a very good manner “a good learner comes out when you have a good teacher” i will be blessed if i get someone like you when i join a ship after 1 year, thankyou sir for creating such content with great clarity which makes us know how it is going to be ❤
I'm in awe of our oceans and seas, and those brave souls who set to sea. God bless the souls of all those lost at sea. I have huge respect and admiration for all those go to sea...may the winds be calm and may you all get to port safely. 🌹

Great video Karan. How often are the notices for the lifeboat actually changed? I think the sea air and sea water does the rest. But the rolling of the ship is not without its problems 😳 . Hopefully the lashing rods stayed up, or did some go overboard? And how great is the fear that containers will go overboard in such wind? Take care of yourselves and stay healthy.💙💖🙏
For anyone else wondering about SOPEP: The Shipboard Oil Pollution Emergency Plan, or SOPEP, is a prevention plan carried on board tankers >150 GT and other vessels >400 GT. In this plan you get an overview of possible procedures in case of an oil spill.
The worst week I could recall for having little sleep was when My full time job had no overtime and I went and got another full time job (started that job 30 minutes after leaving first job). I did those 2 for 6 months. I was trying to get ahead saving and my first job just wasn't working. That and commute to work and back meant that I was away from home for 19 hours a day. 5 days a week, sometimes 7 days. My worst week... the entire week I slept only 14 hours. Horrible...however, I was never grumpy. I just don't have a bad mood no matter what! Lucky for me I'm like that, as I just don't understand how people get frustrated with things.

Hallo Mr. Karan, please create an episode related to pirates. Probably you have never experienced the danger of pirates🏴☠️. Still you can share many things with us as you are on sea quite for a long time.
Excellent video, the sea and the large ships will never cease to impress me. I have a question: how do you hold a top-mounted container and how many degrees of inclination does it support before falling into the water? Saludos desde el Puerto de Tampico Mex.
My cousin sells binders and chains in the Port of Houston, the largest exporting port in the US. They are used to tie down containers. They sell them by the ton since big container ships can use thousands of them to tie down the stack. How they do it would make a great video. But yes, container ships do lose containers overboard. They can even be dangerous when you have one that floats barely or just underwater. Ships do hit them from time to time and they do blow ashore sometimes.

Depends on the stability factor of the ship
