Loved this video. i am currently using older version of insta360 one R app for my one X.. and its working pretty good.. i was about to sell this and buy one R.. changed my mind because of 2 main reasons : 1. One X has better stitching lines 2. Not much huge improvement in video quality. 3. I can use all One R exclusive features with its app only and also color plus works with one X too which gives much better HDR output which was the need of the hour. I may upgrade to nxt version later

Did you notice the 1 inch version no longer uses INSV files? I haven't used my camera in a few weeks and I updated the new firmware today and now the camera records to MP4 instead of INSV files. Also there is a basic and pro mode, and exgtra color profile.

But im confused today...seems so, by now.....3k 100FPS 360 Videos are by default in Slow Motion, and therefor no FreezeFrame Option.....Do i miss something, as a great Noob, or is this a Bug or Change...that i cant record a normal Speed 3k 100FPS with the 360 Lens? thx für your Time and Work
Great review and thanks for the tips. Any person with gadgets, knows the absolute necessity of a powerbank or brick. I think it's long overdue, that reviewers stop mentioning this as a detractor. With normal daily browsing and general usage of your phone only, it's at least at 50% or less battery life. So we either stay tethered to a wall outlet, car USB or guess what people? You got it! A powerbank. It's a foregone conclusion. Let it go. It's not an issue.

Ben, Loving your content but I'm just a novice with this new One R. It'd be nice if you'd consider updating your DaVinci Resolve video since the interface has changed so much. I can't even get it to recognize any of my One R .insv vids for importing....so I'm lost. I don't really like using the app for much and prefer to take the time necessary with a proper editor and then publish. I'm trying to learn how to produce better moto-vlogs and I'd love to make this work for me. Also, explaining the best way to get files from the camera to the Windows 10 desktop would be greatly appreciated and the use of "u-disk" for that function. Thanks from Texas

So one side of the stitch line looks very saturated and the other doesn't. Please help. N its not the lens mod because I have 2 I scratched my lens on the second day n then bought another one. Can you check some issues that some friends with this camera are facing after the upgrade? - One related to a quality lost with the PureShot new feature (like a defocus when you zoom in at pictures taken with this setting), in fact really bad quality in relation to standard and HDR. - Another issue is there is no improvement in the stabilization with the 1" module. (seems to be worts than before the upgrade. - Last thing... can you check the 30FPS no longer exist at 4K with the 1" module? know why? Why they needed to remove the features? Just to force Insta360 One X users to go to OneR? If it's just a software features, independent from hardware, it would be nice to have all the features even using the One X. How did you set insta 360 ONE R 1 "to record in 4K 50fps? In the camera settings I see only 5.3k 25fps and 4k 24,25,30 or 60fps. Nowhere is there 4k 50fps. I live in Europe and with all my cameras I shoot in 25 or 50 fps. Please help if you have a solution ... thanks!
i wish this twixtor plugin will be fixed soon. It simply destroys the footage when warping is present. it only looks when your background is something that looks light or a bit exposed.

Nice review... Did you have issues w the Insta360 1” mod when viewing video inside of the Insta360 iPhone iOS app? My videos are jerky, horrible buffering, at the higher image settings, videos start and then stop about every second. Doesn’t matter if the video is still on the micro SD card or downloaded to the ‘local’ folder on the iPhone. (8 plus). Problem goes away if you drop down to 1080p. The latest (09-14-20) firmware and iOS updates did not help. Your YT videos are very informative.
Low power mode for iPhone. Don't know if that actually makes much difference but I know it did when I delivered food on gig apps. Also, is the boosted battery waterproof? I think it says that it is NOT on the website.
Hey Ben, are you aware that you can get a cage for the one R, with the enlarged battery?? With a built in screw mount, not just the GoPro style mount!! Made by ulanzi, in conjunction with a fellow youtube creator!! I will try to find his video and link it in a comment under here for you. Looks to be a great design, and they also have a great looking cage for the vertical setup!!

I was using Xiaomi Mi spere and now switched to Insta360 one r (partly after your reviews )) ). And lacking one feature Xiaomi software had. When reframing pictures in Xiaomi app on iPhone I was able to use my phone gyroscope moving phone around, turning it and finding best angle before saving reframed screenshot. In Insta 360 app I was not able to find this feature. Is it me or the feature is really not there?

FreezeFrame is also just like Flux in GoPro Studio a few years back - and about as useful in my opinion, too glitchy.

Is freezeframe feature removed? Im using Android and PC and both apps dont have Freezeframe. It only show 1/4x up to 64x.

Parabéns pelo teus videos , eu adoro o conteúdo e estou treinando meu inglês ao mesmo tempo que aprendo sobre 360 , sou artist visual e quero muito uma camera 360, pretendo produzir conteúdo semi profissional como tour virtual em museus , videos em comunidades isoladas quilombolas para documentar mesmo , apenas deixando o tripe a câmera e pronto. Sou brasileiro, aqui tem muito conteúdo para ser "explorado " com imersão 360 hoje trabalho como servidor publico do estado mas pretendo viver de arte e essa camera junto com vontade vão me ajudar nesse processo .Vejo muitos comparativos seus e do @360rumors entre outros e ainda tenho duvida de que camera comprar , ja tenho uma go pro 4sesson com alguns acessórios que me satisfaz na medida do possível para meus timelapse e aventuras .
