As each coach competes to ensure they secure the best voices, they have the power to change someone's career with the push of a single button.
For those that do gain a coveted place on one of the four teams, this is just the beginning - over the coming weeks, they will be personally trained and mentored by their superstar coach until one artist is named The Voice UK.

If someone auditions, and a coach want them in their team they push their button. If more coaches push their button the contestant can pick a team. When the blind auditions are done the Battle stage begins. Here, the coaches pair their artists in groups of two, they must battle it out and only one will win, if the coaches like the losing artist they can steal them (Each coach has a limited amount of steals) after that come the Knockouts, the teams will be halved again, and then Liveshows. :)

The people sitting backwards are the coaches of the show, and they are seated backwards so that they can judge the singers by their voice alone, not on physical appearance. When they push the button, it means they want that singer on their team.
