Nah... He wasn’t great. He wasn’t bad either but he wasn’t great. He was decent, at best. The dude has range but it’s all very unpolished and all over the place. I also watched his "Whiskey in the jar" performance and the same thing there. Trying too hard and going further then he’s capable of. He has some raw talent and it comes out every now and then, but a lot of polishing is needed for it to really shine. She was way better in this performance, almost flawless. And yes, before you ask, I’m very familiar with Evanescence...

@@Bimmerstye1 Actually he did both songs brilliant. His voice is very polished, versatile and precisely controlled. In fact he was better than her in this song, although she has the same qualities, but she was pitchy twice in the second part, as obviously she lost control due to emotion. While he was perfect. Yes he growls, but this is a stylistic choice. And his growling was on pitch. There is nothing raw in his singing. In the current song he showed better range and technicality than her. Although she has better tone, and obviously she is very proficient and experienced pop singer. In general she was better in the first part due better tonality of her voice. Then there was a real competitive battle between them in a good sense of the word. Then she lost it twice, and he was better. But at the end both created perfect harmony. Very good performance indeed.
I believe it's one of the greatest performances in the Voice 🎉 i'm still goosebumped

You haven't heard much if you mean that. This was mediocre at best, IMO. They could both be great singers separately, but this song is meant to be performed a bit differently. If you really want to hear 2 singers from the voice sing together and sound magnificent while at it, take a look at Albina vs. Filip - “Lovely”, The Voice Croatia, season 3.

This was a total goosebump performance from beginning to end and a VERY BOLD song choice by their coach because this could easily have gone very wrong. You need two very particular kind of vocalists to pull this off.
That said, she was the hands down winner for me. He was wonderful but she just blew me away!!!

This is the gold standard of all covers of Bring Me to Life! Love it. Both killed it. His range, her extensions and their harmony. Amazing.

The male vocals/rapping is the one weak link in the original song (makes sense when you look at the history of how it was artificially squeezed in at the last moment). Oh my good god. Amy Lee would be SCREAMING. This was EVERYTHING. I grew up on this music. And this, was one of the best renditions of this song, one of the best covers I’ve EVER heard! The nostalgia hit me hard with this one. I remember going to Evanescence concert in 2008. I was five feet away from Amy Lee. I could feel her SPITTING on me as she was singing, that’s how close I was. This brought back a lot of memories. But my god were they GREAT.

Man, brave song choice here because it’s hard to imagine _ANYONE_ else’s voice singing this song other than Amy Lee’s - her voice is just uniquely suited to exactly this song in exactly the way she originally recorded it. I wouldn’t expect anyone else (or not more than 1:1,000 good singers) to be able to match or outdo her performance. I don’t think either of these two did that either, but what they did do was do their own performances justice. They fit the song, they left _nothing_ on the table, and what they did worked both individually and together, and that’s incredibly impressive. Both of these artists deserved to go through from these performances, without question. What a great job they both did!

I love this song! The guy was off key for much of it, though. He sounded good towards the end -- when he started singer high. The woman sounded like a professional. I really liked some of the stylistic choices she made.
