Arguably one of the best auditions in the history of The Voice, and he gets 1 chair.

He's a Rock singer, the only judge on that panel that spealisies in Rock is Danny. What would be the point in Will.I.Am, a EDM artist, trying to judge and mentor a rock singer?

Country artist/Coach Blake Shelton has won The Voice in America 3 or 4 times with vastly different artists from different music genres.
+Andy Simmons It's not about winning for the coaches (most of the time). It's about who is able to nurture and develop a singer into something greater. In this case, because of his rock voice and style and unrefined singing technique, Danny was the best choice for him, no one else would have helped him in any way, because the other coaches wouldn't understand how to sing rock as well as Danny.

it really annoys me how the judges play little games daring each other to see who presses the button first. i mean, nothing wrong about it, this guy is absolutely mindblowing, singing his heart out and playing the guitar like there's no tomorrow while the judges are playing around while conor could be worrying and thinking about his future and musical career... I might be wrong because i don't watch the show regularly, i watch the auditions here online, but apart from that, barely... just my opinion.

I think it's more that they know who's the best match for certain contestants so it's not them playing games more that they know that it would help them more if they went with that particular judge. That's what happens in some cases
i got so irritated when he reached 1:30 and the rest of the judges didnt turn around, especially you jessie j, supposed treasurer of people with powerful voices, did you fucking hear that note? literally i fell in love with him

Not all the judges may have felt they would be the right coach for them... I've had about 3 singing teachers and most singing teachers give you a short taster session to see if they suit your voice... So it's not a matter of them not liking your voice they may decide they can't help the vocalist it's all about the suitability and if they feel they can help them

I have watched quite a few performances of foreign "The Voice" shows and I gotta say this is probably the best I ever saw. And it blows my mind how only one judge pressed the button. I mean the dude rocks the show, he has an amazing voice, everything is perfect, he makes the song his own and there is not one thing that is not right. Interesting because I have seen lots of other performances where I thought the song and the performance were average but all 4 judges pressed the button.

I think the other judges might have fallen back and let Danny go because he's generally good with artists who use instruments on stage (I dunno maybe). But they were pretty much digging his audition the whole way :D
what does actually happen if they push the button?
If only one judge pushes the button then the person auditioning joins the judges team (so he passes the audition). If two or more judges press the button then the control is handed over to the person auditioning, and (s)he gets to choose the judge whose team they want to join - we see lots of funny clips here, because the judges start to jokingly boast about their skills or jokingly bribe the contestants (like asking them to sit on the judge's seat or sing with the judge etc)
I'm not entirely sure but I think at this point that maybe some of them had already filled their quota of acts? There also looks like they're all acknowledging that Danny should turn because he'd be the one who would be able to help him, like how would Tom Jones help a young rock type style - I only say that as they keep looking at Danny and quite often on the UK voice the judges would say 'I didn't turn because I thought you'd be a better fit for XYZ' - just my opinion anyway.

Every element coming together at 1:24 makes this one of my favorite blind auditions ever on any Voice program... the giant applause, the chair turn, the music, his enthusiasm, the guitar, jessie floored at the audience uproar!!! OMG all of it! amazing! chills!

I saw the full version where it added judges calls and him walking off. Danny went and saw the sisters etc.
All the judges were saying they did not turn because they knew Danny was the right coach for him. I can easily see here, that it is likely possible the poise of Will to turn, was maybe in case Danny did NOT turn. He would have definitely turned.
Good to see this guy has a LP out, and is doin pretty alright for himself.
Side note:
This is the first time I EVER liked a remake/cover of a song more than the original from someone NOT in the industry. He smashed this song. The original sucks!

Olivia Connolly The others allowed the script to take him cause he is a professional in that style of music so he could coach him the best. The others saw that and allowed script to take Conor. Conor is better than many professional singers out there.

One of my absolute favorite auditions (and I've watching all seasons of The Voice UK). Hes got such a strong and amazing voice it's so..like...delicious and his control is amazing and his guitar skills are yes and the fact that hes a redhead only puts the icing on the 100 layered cake.

I love how enthusiastic he is, hes jumping around and you can really tell hes loving singing it.
My favourite audition of all time .... i adore this lad with his red hair and cheeky face... but boy what an amazing voice ! 5 years later im still looking out for him thinking what a waste of such raw talent.
Two years on and Conor singing this popped into my head - even on my laptop his voice, everything is so moving. Didn't even know this song until this and I can only watch him - he can't stay still - the teenage longing - oh and everybody is starry eyed. I still am. Thank you Conor.

It's 2018 and I still come back to listen to this. In my opinion it's one of the best auditions of the show ever.
He definitely deserved all four chairs, he was magnificent. I love how visibly the music moves him, @ 1:20 and on. You can tell this boy's got music in his soul for it to take him over during a performance like that. Such a treat to watch and such a gorgeous voice.
