I'm loving these....! I take my mug thermas everywhere that I go. I'm from the South and sweet tea is the drink....lol. it goes with me everywhere...lol. The alphabet charms.....I use them as charms on the beaded pens that I make for friends and family. I've never sold anything due to not being sure how to price, so thank you for that info as well. I will be making these charms..... maybe as stocking staffers for my girls and sister. Again thank you 😊
Oh my gosh Jody!! This is an amazing idea!! Most people here have the straight sided cups in so many different designs, I'm actually up to four.. one I found free, one I got at a yardsale for a quarter, and I paid twenty dollars for my Hocus Pocus, and Allan bought me a butterfly cup for my birthday.. wish there was a way to decorate them! But yes, I still see plenty of people with the handle mugs!!
Jody these are so so pretty not only as Mug charms, I like them as hooking to your purse handle charms . So nice and I love the alphabet ones , Love them all. Great tutorial.
This is a great idea, Jody!! I have several craft fairs coming up and I will definitely be making these. I have one tomorrow so I'll get at least a few done for that too! Thanks for sharing!
You have a Stanley cup! 😮😂 Yeah, I will never, ever spend that on a cup either! 😂🎉 I need a hydration cup with a handle so I can make this! ❤❤ I absolutely love these cup dangles, and thanks for all the ideas you mentioned.❤🎉
This is a fantastic idea! My daughter and her friends have bling all over everything. I am thinking that I could make them and see them at my friend's shop. You are right that it would be a great gift idea for the holidays. Thanks for showing us how!
Perfect idea, thank you Jody! I make jewelry and do craft fairs in the fall and I also sell my jewelry in a gift shop. I’m always looking for new things to make, last year I made beaded eyeglass chains and bookmarks and they were a hit at the craft fair.
This would be a great project to use up some bead soup! Absolutely Adorable Jody!! I never would have thought of doing this. Yes, everyone has a cup these days!! Jody you can put your tear drop dangles on the wire and make your triangle, the work harden your wire a little by tapping the wire in the jaw of your nylon pliers, or smooth jaw metal pliers, I tap 5-6 times and it's amazing how much it stiffer the wire becomes, then do your wrapping and loop. I have started making my own jump rings, eye pins, clasps, and ear-wires because I'm tired of every metal being a different color depending on the supplier. So now everything I use matches so much better.
Do you have a video that goes over the names of all the equipment and things you need to get started making stuff like this? I want to make bag charms.
I really only used my pliers, cutters round nose pliers, beads, charms. I can do a video real quick over some basics and I will use this in an example too if that helps!
