Hi Jean! Love your tutorial!! Can you tell me what are the mm’s size hole that you are using? I want to order beads online but I don’t know what size to choose. I don’t want to buy the wrong size. Thank you so much!! Adorable pokey tools!! 💕. I did but the cocktail sticks from Temu and the Hobby Lobby set , but haven’t ordered the beads yet. TFS!! Hugs. Gloria 🥰
That's a hard question to answer but here goes. I have used beads as small as a 4mm bead if the hole is big enough but then again I have some 12mm beads that do not work because the hole is not big enough. You do not need as big of a hole like you do for the beaded pens. you are pretty safe getting 8mm to a 12mm bead. I linked a couple of packs of beads from hobby lobby for you, I find that most of there mixed packs will wok. Also Walmart has some mixed bead packs that will work. The bead size is not as important as the hole size. Some 10mm beads can have a very small hole the same with a 6mm bead can have a large hole. That being said it is hard to order by hole size because most companies tell you the bead size the the hole size. You need about a 4mm hole.
