So I kind of did this idea but instead of using turkey pokers I used galvanized steel/ copper wire.
I bent the wire in half to make a hoop at the top and then I did another variation with two half bent wires and was able to wrap quartz at the top. Then I put the beads on the center strand and use the excess strands of wire to wrap around each bead I put on to secure it. Then I did a coil type wrap at the end and snipped the excess wire leaving the main wire point as the poker! No glue involved and you can krimp and spread the wire around the beads for added design

Don’t know if you’ve been told this hack. So the bead once you glue them you can either chop off a 1/4 piece of glue stick, eraser or earring see thru backer and slide it all the way up to the beads you glued and that way they won’t get loose while drying. Then either leave the see thru earring stopper there and add a new one for the bottom sharp point. Safer when packaging the pokey tool.

I already know I have to buy those panda beads for a crafty friend, she’s going to love them. My friend and I have tried so many different of the actual pokey sticks, and we do have some turkey ones too. We just got our hobby lobby order today with their stick( I forget what they call it) and I can’t wait to try those.

You you have a die cut machine many crafters use a pokey tool, to poke out the paper from die cuts, some crafters use them as a glue bottle stopper, to poke out a a clogged glue bottle, it's a very commonly used tool in the crafty community. Hope that's helpful dear .

Hi - It's a turkey "lacer", like when you lace up your sneakers? They are used to truss a turkey, and keep the opening closed when you add in your stuffing. That's why your pack comes with string - to lace up your bird. Just an FYI. Also, I don't get these "pokey" things either. An Awl works just fine. Just another thing to embellish, perhaps? Personally, I like that solid wooden handle on your awl, rather than trying to grip slippery beads. Kind of dangerous, actually.
