I liked Tosh, but Owen was always a jackass. Ianto is a way better character than Owen.
Russell T. Davies was REALLY horrible to Tosh. As soon as he ran out of ideas on how to make her life even more miserable, he kills her off.
If we had a court for crimes against fictional people he'd be on trial. Just kidding, but it is sad that she was killed off when she was, but that was perhaps why they did it.
He wasn't even writing for the show at the time. If you want to blame someone, blame the writers.

I just fell like my heart breaks when I see the scene from the 'Adam' episode. I know Tosh's memory had been changed but the way she rejected Owen was so sad- I just wanted to cry.

Though Ianto was my favourite character, i agree that the Towen death was sadder. It made me cry for ages. Ianto's death just annoyed me tbh 😂
It was more memorable for me as well, Iqnto was great but the towen death scene was one of the saddest things I'd ever seen
Although Janto is my favorite pairing you are absolutely correct, there’s so much depth to this scene. Owen finally coming to terms with dying and accepting it, Tosh and Owen confessing to each other as Tosh is dying and Owen doesn’t even know, everything about this scene is heart wrenching and I will be scarred for the rest of my life

honestly, they had the better relationship dynamic out of any between the torchwood crew. Jack and Ianto's felt rushed, Owen and Gwen's was just a bit uncomfortable, but Tosh and Owens was well played out over the seasons, gave them room to grow and inevitably break a bunch of hearts when they both died before they got full closure. it's such a well written pair.
I'd forgotten how much I love them both
I loved these two, when they left the show they really should have replaced them with Martha and Mickey, I can totally see them doing scenes like this.
After they left, the show changed from episodic stories to series-long dramas with Children of Earth (very good) and Miracle Day (bad).
If they did, I imagine children would find out and start watching the show, which would probably scar them for life
