- Sprite animation using ProMotion software (basically, paint.... with frames) and Sony Vegas (for sound).
Basically, a Megaman Battle Royal, with elements of WWE's Royal Rumble. Two start, every 45 seconds another arrives, and the winner is the last remaining, after all 15 have entered (originally planned full 20, but time constraints had forced cutbacks to 18, 16, then finally 15). Not gonna outline what happens, you'll just have to watch it yourself. There is a small intro, lasting about a minute, so just let it pass, or simply skip past it.
Sprite sheets are from Rockman Power Battle and Power Fighters, as well as the music. Sound effects are from Rockman X5.

Anyways I Have A Robot Master OC (Not Presented In Rockman/Megaman) Named Black-Man. Black-Man Is A Robot Who's Fully Black Except For The Face. His Shoulder Pads Are Blue. His Helmet Has An Orange Star On It. He Fires Black Things (Namely Missles That Become Red Balls). He Is Also Know As Harbor-Man

I agree! Napalm Man went the distance and kicked a lot of ass! He deserved to win!
The way the battle was set up was honestly kinda dumb. There is no way such a tournament would be well praised. After all, the only reason Plant Man won at all was because he was the last to enter and Napalm man was already worn down by the other robot masters who would have also been capable of taking out Plant Man. If this match up were more properly set up, it would be four robots in battle off the bat with the last one standing moving on up, healed up and ready for the next match. If this tournament were set up that way, Plant Man would be in last place. To have a tournament set up where new fighters enter the arena after a certain amount of time without healing the fighters already there and declaring the latest arrival the winner would most definite cause a lot of people (both audience and combatants) to call foul.

My only problem is with the end, which I felt was super unsatisfying and arguably unfair, as the last fighter (who already gets an advantage for being, y'know, the last fighter) suddenly gets an even more massive advantage. Was fun to watch overall, though.
Yeah, I am equally disappointed with the ending. Only reason that happened was because I was desperate to get it finished before a convention I was going to show it at, and the whole time I was pushing back the number from 20 to 18 to 16 to finally 15.
That's totally fair. Even with that, I still think the whole thing came out really well overall.
I am still hoping to make a follow-up with more entrants and a non-BS finish

Hmm, lets see what would happen.
1: Napalmman would wipe the floor with Crashman, at least with the sprite sheets I have to work with. Napalmman is severely OP, and Crashman is woefully underpowered.
2: oh boy... that would be a superbitch to animate, though Flash would make it easier. Pretty even match here
3: I REALLY wanted to make a Nitroman sprite sheet, though they would likely be a tag team instead
4: I had some really cool things going on my Skullman sheet, and he would totally OP over Pharaohman. Not just because of his Skull Barrier, but because of the Skull Blast he could shoot after absorbing the barrier skulls :3
5: We already saw the beginnings of this rivalry, and I really wanted to build up Stoneman's sheet to make it work.
... I think what I really need to do is create all new sheets as illustrated sprites, and not pixelated, so I could further flesh out the animations. ... but I would need to hit Kickstarter pretty hard for that one :P

Gotta say, Plant man and Napalm man were pretty awesome fighting each other. Both of them are also my favorites. Napalm man was an absolute walking destruction and Plant man had sweet defenses. His Plant ain't something to laugh about now. Not even explosives could go through it.
Sad that Magnet died. He's my #1 favorite.

I was missing a massive chunk of Pharaohman's sprite sheet at the time, so he was able to serve a different purpose in the story

@@ouch9841 errr... by technical terms, cut man would count as a "brother" so-to-speak to megaman, by the same logic as how mega man and roll are "siblings", Cut Man, along with Proto man and all of the original 6 robot masters were dr. Light's creations, like Mega man and roll.

Also, glad there was a timer for Slashman being out of bounds. I feel a bit bad for Shademan, since his battle style here thrived on more of a hit-and-run approach. I also noticed that he tried to carry Stoneman away, maybe to drop him on someone?
In either case this was so fun to watch! I love it!
The sequel nerfed Napalmman so he wasn't as cheap, and fixed Slashmans out of bounds issue
The nostalgia sure is great :)

I like how Guts Man and Stone Man had a little moment where they duked it out
I really wish I could have fully realized that moment, and had them trade actual blows. Unfortunately the sprites necessary to do that did not exist and would have required far more work than simple part swapping.
If I ever get to vectorizing this, I will definitely put that conflict at the top of my mind

Honestly, Magnetman deserved better
He got so far. He was able to withstand everybody he went up against. It was only until Napalmman ruined it.
Also, is it just me, or did Magnetman, Geminiman, and Shadowman have some sort of alliance before the rumble started.

C’mon!!!! It would have been the fair thing to let there be a final fight to the death between Napalm and Plant!! The only reason that Plant man won, was because he had the most health left, AND HE WAS THE LAST ONE TO ENTER THE ARENA!! Napalm man was actually one of the longest survivors as well!!

I love watching WWE Royal Rumble and I love megaman even more. this is a true work of sprite animation art. I love how you used the robot masters movesets and stratigies. Wonderful job!
Hehe thanks a lot. I do want to revisit this at some point, but actually legit animate, instead of just pixel sprites... but that is quite the ambitious idea, and then would have to potentially dodge Capcom copyrights if I do anything serious with it

Sadly,... Pharaohman has a move set more like Kevin Nash. Not a great deal I can do with him. But, he WILL get more substantial time in the next one

Nah, Gutsman will be like Kane, a workhorse that gets a lot of eliminations but doesn't win.
The size of the robot masters' sprite sheets is the prime determining factor. Why i also eliminated Turboman quickly. The only reason I didn't get to show off all that was in Plantman's sheet was because of time constraints.
How the hell does Plant Man win with zero eliminations and only being in for forty-five seconds?! Napalm Man had at least five eliminations, including eliminating Freeze Man and Cut Man in the same attack! I CALL SHENANIGANS!!!

He left the arena, attacking from the outside, and if you look at his health bar, you will see a count-down. He did not return before the 5-count reached zero, so he was Disqualified.
This was supposed to set up a continuing storyline... back before I lost the flash file in a computer failure T~T
He was going to interfere in a Megaman vs. Breakman match, only to have to fight his way up to the bottom, and break through all the odds until finally facing Napalmman (who by then would have taken the title from Plantman)

so, while this video is dated by a long while, it stuck to its rules, if there is a cut on the screen, it isn't wiped away, it sticks, which isn't something I see often, good job
Heh, I thought that was a clever idea too. Though I did find an alternative for later matches (which... as we all see, never really happened), having a backdrop suspended in front of the screen that he would cut his way out of, and it would lift up out of the ring.

When I was a younger, I thought this was an actual game and I searched it up to find it to realize this is just a sprite animation. 😂
Heh, many have asked me to make it into a game, but I lack both the programming knowledge to make it happen, and the willpower to face down CAPCOM's legal team.

The first one took me a year and a half, but I didn't have Flash at the time, this one won't take quite as long,... but it WILL be longer :P
