Ime Udoka speaks to reporters after the Houston Rockets crushed the Cleveland Cavaliers on 3/16/2024. Jalen Green, Amen Thompson, Fred VanVleet, Jabari Smith Jr and Dillon Brooks all stepped up big in the game.

Facts
The truth is that they should run the offense through Jalen, run more of triangle offense with Green and Alpe. The issue is Green wasn't receiving enough touches to get in the flow of the offense early in the season, he's a shot maker and a creator. He needs the ball in his hands.
Al p will have be back a better and stronger.he will figure it out on what he needs to Improve.

It would be better to have the rest of the guys back but having people missing is a forced opportunity to see what else is available. It is good to have more weapons, strategies and approaches. It will keep other teams thinking. And when one is bot working, they can shift to another approach.

Alpi is not the problem, Jalen is not the problem. The problem are the toxic impatient fans. Alpi fans are toxic against Jalen even when he plays good. Jalen fans praise Alpi when he performs good.
let's just say 60% of them is not a rockets fan. at all. but hey i been supporting Alp since he got drafted to Rockets. i seen enough of the fan base toxicity. just want the rockets to be successful bro. if anything. all the remaining players rockets drafted being here while winning a championship. you know. maybe the Denver Route. took them a lot of time to get to the finals too.
It's not surprising that fans are impatient with Jalen. He sucked all year and would drive to the basket 4 or 5 times a game and turn the ball over or get his shot blocked. The fans are not playing the game. How is it their fault? I don't know anybody that enjoys watching a player make the same dumb mistakes over and over every night.

Both defense and offence flow better without Alpi. On the other hand, he's an amazingly talented player and the future All Star...so Udoka needs to find a way to incorporate Alpi into the offensive and defensive flow. Especially in defense. To find a way to hide his weaknesses there.
But all in all, the main reason Rockets looking good right now is because Jalen Geen he has been hoopin' lately. Rockets are 7 out of 8 and it began with Jalen finally putting the real effort.
I think Rockets will win back to back and take 10th place..

Did Alpi's absence bring mental comfort to the team? The players seem to have relaxed, at least psychologically.
I'm a fan of Alpi, but if there is such a negative effect, we should all know about it.
Let's not get carried away. They've been without Alpi for 3 games. The first two were against the Spurs who they barely beat and the Wiz who are the worst team in the league. This was an impressive win over the Cavs, but they're not better without him.
Rockets were playing well with Alpi though.

Sengun being gone allows more oppurtunity for growth in the office and continuity from the other playmakers to find their confidence. This will only help our team when we are full strength! Imagine if these playmakers amen, Fred and green all continue what they are doing with a low post beast in alpi to bail out the offense? Top 10 offense and defense in the league next season. Also look at Ike’s Celtics team after the all-star break they went on a tear and went to the finals. This team will be disgusting going into next season 🥶
Defense wins championships and this team defensively is much better than with Sengun. Alperen offense is great, hes a decent defender but the pace offensively is terrible, the spacing offensively is not the best and the shooting isnt as good but its completely the opposite without Sengun. I ymthink longterm this team is ultimately better on bothe sides of the ball. Roles are defined with Jalen and Jabari and the role players. Its a toxic power struggle with Sengun and his toxic fans as well
Relax the rockets are better off with Sengun in the lineup

The teams they play is important since play off is defined not any team is playing straight everybody is on corculation if alpi were on the court he might have reached 50 carrier points

Alpi is very smart. He will know that he doesn't need to carry the load because our 3 point shooting is getting better. Alpi will play more like Baby Jokic. His jumper is improving too.
