You know you're big when you have to lower your head while getting through a door made for NBA players.

It's impossible not to respect Yao. His induction into the NBA Hall of Fame made me so happy. He was a major star on and off of the court. The off of the court impresses me the most. A man of that size could easily walk around being a douche to anyone and still get what he wants. Yao is too mature for that. He displays great character, a strong heart, a willingness to learn and a desire to help the community via charity. All around an awesome man. <3

Yao was a class act. He knew the way he handled himself would reflect upon his entire country, and he represented them incredibly well.

His English is actually really good. If I tried to learn Cantonese in just 3 years I would sound way worse.

Yao is right up there among the greatest ever Centers in NBA history. Considering where he came from and how good he got, his development was amazing. Size, skill, intelligence, could shoot FT, threes, layups, dunks, hook shots, fade aways, spinoramas, off the glass, great passer, blocker, grab boards, clutch in big game situations, and most of all, he is the nicest and funniest guy both on and off the court. How can you not like him and the total package? To me, Yao is the greatest, but in all fairness since I never saw the past greats, I only say he's among the greatest in history.
