From the US…I found Steps by accident. I was watching a video clip of a Police Gay Pride Celebration of a young officer doing some dance moves to a song playing in the background and I thought to myself, ‘Who is that?’. I scoured the internet until I found it was a pop group from the UK called Steps. I went on RUclips and watched everything I could find including that four part television show about their breakup and reunion and now I’m hooked. I’ve got five albums on my phone plus the ‘official’ concert videos of the Tears on the Dancefloor and What the Future Holds tours. Can’t get enough Steps…love Claire’s voice, enchanted with H’s typical ‘drama’, love how Lee is starting to shine in his solos and love Lisa’s firecracker ‘tell it like it is’ attitude but Faye is my favorite. Love her spirit. Steps music just resonates in my soul and makes me feel good. Twenty five years and going strong and still creating awesome and relevant new music. Have a great Steps day!!
The beauty of STEPS is that every member adds value. Undoubtedly, Claire has a magnificent voice, but the others all contribute to the musical perfection too.
Domenico Lamberti True that! The other bands tried so hard to be modern. Steps stayed true to themselves and didn't make their original fans feel betrayed. That's why they are doing so good. They know who they are.
@@charles5596 I agree with you. She and H was the reason why they were disbanded. When they thought the two of them can do better without the three and then they flop. But still in their reunion she is still selfish because she thinks she can do better solo and has the greater voice of all the 5 of them. And i don't think there will be another album after this one since they only made this one for STEPS 20th anniversary i think. And it would be better if fans watch their reunion. It's sad though, i'm a fan who's looking forward to their new music.
For me it was Lordi in Eurovision that got me into metal. I checked out their music and from there discovered other awesome metal bands... I used to (admit still listen to sometimes) Evanescence and Avril Lavigne
@@kimkatz2444 What do you mean? Claire released her solo album on 2019 as her personal dream all this time. Nothing wrong with that. She didn't leave the group like she did on 2001. I'm 67 and have the same feeling about this video as Jon W. Age is irrelevant. I simply consider myself a 're-cycled teenager' and anything that keeps my mind young (as Steps does), is fine by me.
@ FollowTheLeader: At my age, I'm not supposed to drool over such beautiful people, but yes, they've always been gorgeous and help to make me feel 27 again and take me back to my old disco haunts.
I love when older folks are open to music, or new things in general. I mean we all know the "this generation of music" types even though these older generations who where teens in the 60's, 70's and 80's had their parents and older generations telling them their music sucks (rock, punk, synthpop etc.) I love music of all types and generations, and I hope to be like that forever. Music is timeless and if you look hard enough there will be music in every generation that appeals to you and thanks for realising that!
it makes me mad how younger generations allways believe older generations dont still get music. we were all the youngsters, teens and 40 somethings once im 45 now but was a masive house music fan and also disco, dance and also love pop like this..
Hi, sixty-year-old Yank here, and I'm hearing Steps for the first time with this great, great song. (Thanks to Darren Hayes!) Please know there is still an audience for well-crafted and produced pop records with (gasp!) melody and harmony, in addition to a good beat. Thanks from the U.S.A.!
Hi Sir..., Yes that audience are still exist, but not many. At least enough to fill their every arena tour and made their last 3 album from 2017-2021 reached #2. The last tour is What The Future Holds Tour on 2021.
Who else is having 90s Steps concert flashbacks, love this. Welcome back guys from a loyal fan (who still knows every word and dance move by heart even though she's 30 now lol)
Can't blame them for declining though. No matter whether our act is the best or not, we won't win with the current scoring system. A few examples: 2014 Conchita won because of Russia's stance on the LGBTQ community (good motives but why a singing contest, the song was absolute crap?), 2016 Jamala's song had a political reference and 2017 yet another appalling song sung by a guy who has a heart condition and they expect us to believe that that (heart condition) had nothing to do with the voting. Last one is not political but it shows how easily the system can be exploited to win: if there is a bully nation - oppose them, slip in political messages of some sort without people knowing or just go with the sympathy vote. In all honesty, none of the winning songs mentioned were any good (all rather slow, dull and all-in-all just plain rubbish). Last "proper" winner was Emmelie De Forest.
No, No, No....they have very little reason to do the Eurovision gig. To what end? 20+ million albums sold and success that spans the globe, why do something like that to themselves?
I wasn't born when steps were made a band and I heard my mum listening to them and I loved it and i started to listen to more old music. If you prefer 70s 80s and 90s music more than today's music then like this comment.
I've been a fan since their very first appearance. This is such an incredible song for so many reasons. Can't get it out of my head. The key-change towards the end is a stroke of genius. 25yrs on, they've still got "it". If anything, they are ever more polished. Even my 11yr old son likes them and hums the chorus around the house!
They always release feel good music thats uplifting, when the world seems to be crap!! Yes Claire is their secret weapon, also their Tragically, synched and beautifully, simple moved, tight and a great credit to them all!
Claire and Fayes vocals reaching into your heart. The girls harmonies. And now the boys vocals building the base. Its been so many years yet each one can sing better than the teen popstars! Now just give them ab uptempo camp anthem pkease.
So many negative comments if you don't like Steps do not waste your time commenting negative stuff so just LEAVE! They are still as good maybe even better than they were back in the 90s!!
I am a 40-year-old man living in Korea who became a fan of steps late. Steps' songs are fantastic. It's a pity why these good songs are not known much in Korea. I can not stop listening every day. It's great to be back together, and I hope you'll be active for another ten years! I love you! 듣기 복사
I heard this on the radio 3 years ago and the DJ did not say who this was!!!! I am from the US and when I moved over to the UK I heard so many new musicians. I love love Steps. Their new album is so good and their voices are spot on.
I am a massive fan of Steps way back and still am. I am so amazed that they are all back together and nothing ever changed! They perform same as before, voices and performance all the same! I am so happy that they are back!!!

YES! Finally a video release. I think the release schedule was a bit late (for promo/chart effect?) but that doesn't take away that this is (for me) their absolute BEST track to date.
I wasn't putting it as an critique (comparing to 90's or even referencing Kpop?). Just the (general) idea behind a video is for "promo" purposes ;) A video is a great bonus, that's all, if if they wanted (chance of) bigger exposure from the start. But as I wrote: it is not affecting me personally, I'm glad there is a video to add to the catalogue. Loved the song from first listen. Only wanted best result for Steps, that's all. But it's their choice, their schedule ... no biggie. Only hopes & wishes :D Now back to repeating & rewatching the song :D
I'm confused as to why K-pop got brought into this when it wasn't mentioned in the original comment, fair enough with K-pop you get the M/V for the title track pretty much the same day as the album is released but I seen no comparison in the original comment for it to be even mentioned.
Discovered steps because of Michelle Visage and now i'm loving all your music. Your music is all on repeat for a week now, especially Heartbreak in this City.
Lemuel Abejuro Hello there, we've got Southeast Asia STEPS group on facebook for fans from Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore. Search for it on facebook and join our party! See ya there! :)
It should have appeared in MYX also. I am still waiting for local radio stations to play STEPS' latest singles (or even album tracks that should have been singles or worth being released as singles from Tears On The Dancefloor [and its Crying at the Disco Deluxe edition])
After so many ups and downs, still STEPS make real good music. The band has been through a lot of challenges, yet, here they are... doing what they love most! Bringing good music to people. Every member of STEPS plays an important role. Their voices jive together! Kudos for Claire, I was surprised she lost so much weight! Very disciplined!

bringing good music of old 00, 90s,80s is better than shit today , there's few bright sparks in todays music like Rita Ora , jess Glynne , Paloma faith that can sing rest is gangster rap shit.
thank you to the Hertfordshire police officer for bringing me here. sorry i never heard of Steps before in the USA, but this song is perfection and a real joy to listen to!!!!! much love to u from across the pond!
OMG!!! I'm a number one fan!!!! I'm so happy my fave band of all times is back 😊😊😊 Please have a concert here in the Philippines, that's my birthday wish ever since you launched Steptacular! The harmony I so miss!
Yeah, they may have aged that much but the faces of Faye, Claire, and Lee haven't... and their voices and harmony still sound the same like what it was 20 years ago.
I have never been into Steps. But I've gotta say, I think this is the best tune they have ever done. Good luck with the new album and tour. And Claire is a Babe, no matter what size she is.
Still the best Steps song since the reunion. It's a perfect mix of classic and modern. I remember when it first came out, was dancing in a gay bar and couldn't believe I actually got to hear NEW Steps music playing for the first time. It was beautiful.
Not many 90s bands can come back and smash it out the park but boy Steps did! Oh and I still have a massive crush on Faye 😂
I saw Faye singing the part of Cruella de Vil on stage a few months ago. Fabulous!

They toured with Britney in the 90's, Britney makes a cameo in One For Sorrow (she's dancing)
Ha I no the video , was good best wishes from Durham England
My all time favourite pop group EVER!!!!
The first time I've heard this. It's got a very ABBA vibe.
They used to get called "Abba on Speed"!
Story of a heart was written by Benny and Bjorn and you can absolutely tell. The most ABBA sounding song not performed by ABBA!
Another great song steps are just brilliant
Not all 90s bands can do a come back and still be current but Steps did and still maintained their Steps sound. Like if you agree!!
Agree..❤❤❤

Glad too found this since release but aftr this they have no album relased

yes, she scares the cats off.

But the music was primarily aimed at 12-year-olds, why on earth were you listening to them at that age?
I was indeed around 14 but still loved the music. I found the songs and lyrics quite "immaculate" and "pure".

Steps all grown up. Love this track ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Claire and Fayes vocals reaching into your heart. The girls harmonies. And now the boys vocals building the base.
Its been so many years yet each one can sing better than the teen popstars! Now just give them ab uptempo camp anthem pkease.
I agree with the vocals. I can't say what it is but it does pierce straight to wherever those vibrations hit.
Wow....happy 1M guys😍😘😊 steps power
So many negative comments if you don't like Steps do not waste your time commenting negative stuff so just LEAVE! They are still as good maybe even better than they were back in the 90s!!
I am a 40-year-old man living in Korea who became a fan of steps late. Steps' songs are fantastic. It's a pity why these good songs are not known much in Korea. I can not stop listening every day.
It's great to be back together, and I hope you'll be active for another ten years! I love you!

Charley Rose Bargallo hi, we have a Facebook group called 'STEPS Southeast Asia'. Come join us as well. Click this m.facebook.com/groups/1155793434567547?tsid=0.6583999851682867&source=result See you there. :)
Charley Rose Bargallo The thing that changed is their faces.
BEST COME BACK SONG EVER
Wow , all 3 girls looking fabulous
YES! Finally a video release. I think the release schedule was a bit late (for promo/chart effect?) but that doesn't take away that this is (for me) their absolute BEST track to date.
But today isn't 90's anymore, and this is not KPop. Many artists release the song first then official video later...
But it's their choice, their schedule ... no biggie. Only hopes & wishes :D
Now back to repeating & rewatching the song :D
I'm confused as to why K-pop got brought into this when it wasn't mentioned in the original comment, fair enough with K-pop you get the M/V for the title track pretty much the same day as the album is released but I seen no comparison in the original comment for it to be even mentioned.
+Leann Markham He's just wanting a reason to create drama I reckon.
According to your theory, J-pop must ne the best because they had their MV released one month ahead of CD release
Discovered steps because of Michelle Visage and now i'm loving all your music. Your music is all on repeat for a week now, especially Heartbreak in this City.
if this song plays anywhere, you better believe i'm putting 100% into the dance moves
That golden voice of Claire was so incomparable
One of top ten trending music youtube in philippines 🇵🇭
Lemuel Abejuro Hello there, we've got Southeast Asia STEPS group on facebook for fans from Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore. Search for it on facebook and join our party! See ya there! :)

Lemuel Abejuro i will join that group also!
love thiss...

STEPS didn't last long in this reunion after track didn't do as well , you see fay came second in strictly and sad to see them split again .
bringing good music of old 00, 90s,80s is better than shit today , there's few bright sparks in todays music like Rita Ora , jess Glynne , Paloma faith that can sing rest is gangster rap shit.
thank you to the Hertfordshire police officer for bringing me here. sorry i never heard of Steps before in the USA, but this song is perfection and a real joy to listen to!!!!! much love to u from across the pond!
Our Cute Policeman hey xxxxxx
Woo hoo missed you all so much 💃🕺💃😎🕺💃🕺💃
Love their dance routine and coordination! So good to see a group in their 40's bringing us the same energy they gave us in their 20's
OMG!!! I'm a number one fan!!!! I'm so happy my fave band of all times is back 😊😊😊 Please have a concert here in the Philippines, that's my birthday wish ever since you launched Steptacular! The harmony I so miss!
Nepthali James Baladjay : the guys have aged so much since their last song
Aaaaw that's so sweet. I so hope the come to the Philippines! :-)
Yeah, they may have aged that much but the faces of Faye, Claire, and Lee haven't... and their voices and harmony still sound the same like what it was 20 years ago.
We have still hope. Just wait until next year ;)
Nepthali James Baladjay they are better than ever
I have never been into Steps. But I've gotta say, I think this is the best tune they have ever done. Good luck with the new album and tour. And Claire is a Babe, no matter what size she is.
I really dont know how I missed these guy 10 years ago, when they started.
Actually, they started 26 years ago...
MAHAL KO KAYO!!! HUGE FAN FROM THE PHILIPPINES! 😘😍😍👑
two words, for the track, the dance routine, the reunion, the new album out,the tour, and for steps themselves...HELL YEAH... :-)
should have been the UK's Eurovision entry this year!
Still the best Steps song since the reunion. It's a perfect mix of classic and modern.
I remember when it first came out, was dancing in a gay bar and couldn't believe I actually got to hear NEW Steps music playing for the first time. It was beautiful.
Is it bad that to have watched/listened to this about 150 times in the last two weeks....asking for a friend?.
