Only Steps, and Take That have managed to remain in the top forty, after they've made a comeback. Other nineties bands, maybe for a little while, but not as much. I would like to see more new stuff from A1, too.

Steps, S Club 7 and Spice Girls.
They have even made a bigger comeback than the Spice Girls. That takes some beating. It's probably because Steps have been consistent, though. As soon as a band or singer, dissapear off the radar, fans start losing interest.
Claires voice gives me chills. Claire, Faye and Lee are especially looking great. Haven't aged much at all. Love the song and the video. Glad Steps found their groove again 💗

Same for a lot of songs that make a comeback... Ones you might still be singing today.
I think this one might be somewhere in the middle, but will be played in years to come and people will still sing to it, even if they cant remember the band or name of the song it will be familiar.

ABBA went for not coming back. Thank God Steps came back and with this version of a Benny's song that I didn't know, sounding completly like ABBA. It's amazing, and the dance remix makes me crazy.

Well actually it's just a video and they hated each other for years. The song would have been sung by ABBA had they stayed together so it has little to do with Steps.

Tony Fisher no they didn't actually hate each other for 'years' because the only reason they split up was that Claire and H wanted to drop out of the band so they all decided to split but it wasn't like they hated each other because they all stayed in touch, and when they did the reunion they weren't as close but you could tell that there wasn't hatred between the members as it wasn't awkward . However the abba thing is true but abba members have been writing steps' songs for ages . I am a true steps fan and I am really not trying to offend you and sorry if I did 😀

@@opicatchu2164 yes. Benny actually released it in 2009 on New Years with his orchestra. Helen Sjoholm does a beautiful rendition. Love both of the songs, but STEPS has a little more harmony and the ladies do it justice with their rendition.

I went to see them live in 2017 and 2018. It was absolutely amazing seeing the different age groups, you had people there who have loved Steps since 1997 (like me) when they released 5,6,7,8 and then younger kids who discovered them later.

I know I shouldn't be even thinking like this, but these song lyrics describe how I feel, about a guy friend who I've just met online, on TikTok. Bad, I know. 😄 I doubt he feels the same way about me. He's probably got a wife, or a girlfriend. Mind you, he is just so sweet, and I seem to be building up quite a bond with him. I've only been chatting to him since december 2023, but honestly, he does something to my heart. We just have a really good bond. 💝 He did mention tonight, earlier on his TikTok love, that he has a daughter, as he'll be going live with her on Friday at 8:30pm. Saw Steps at the AO Arena at Manchester last night. They were brilliant
I remembered the memories of them performing in their last concert in the Manchester Arena in England. And Claire was in tears after the concert. What a successful event it was.

This beautiful song seldom fails to put me into tears especially because one of the band members is a near dead ringer for my first true love of so long ago. Someone I will never forget as I remain ever thankful for love we shared, places traveled and wonderful new experiences, all so emotionally charged! Possibly, if circumstances had been different, never would we have parted.
Once again it's Claire singing first. And wow does this have so many ABBA vibes, Faye especially... It's like she's channelled Agatha in this one.

It's unfair they now chart low because of how the charts work. They've been promoting this at radio all week with radio interviews, three live performances and a music video in the same week, yet it will probably chart on the lower half of the chart because so much is streaming nowadays. Scared of the Dark should have been a massive hit on the charts yet it didn't get above 37.

Yes, they didn't talk for 2 years because of how the band split. There were painful feelings, but they also talked things through before getting back together, and H and Claire apologized to the others.
I'm just hearing this for the first time and wow, that was bloody fantastic. That sounded so much like Abba, especially Faye, who sounds just like Agnetha in that second verse.

This is a very good rendition of Benny's marvelous BAO song.
I were never supposed to like Steps. A big strapping lad like me was supposed to be a sheep and like oasis and all of the other sheep music back in the day. They never brought a bad song out and were a breath of fresh air. I am not ashamed to have these in my record collection and sat at the side of great bands like Madness. Music doesn't always have to be morbid and depressing and Steps always made me feel happy.
