I would certainly be interested in a conversion for mine. I love the rifle and was my fist step into pcp and having another option for it would be great
That was a step in the right direction. I looking to adding a regulator to my Komplete and a larger refillable bottle. I’ve seen some guys have been using a Huben power regulator to add to the Umarex Notos and then adds a larger air cylinder.
Basically a custom made fitting I whipped up in my shop. I will have production CNC fittings (to use your own notos cylinder) available soon as I just got the quote back from a local shop. The Komplete is internally regulated. I haven't taken one apart to see if it can be adjusted. As soon as I find cylinders, I'll be offering those with the adapter too. Stay Tuned!
@@InspirePrecision I see that most refillable cylinders have a resealable ball vale that when screwed into the guns threaded port seals and pushes opens the ball valve. I’m surprised that all that I need is a cylinder with the same fitting as the Nitroair cylinder with a ball valve seal.
@mikeglancy7451 the way the mechanics work with the Komplete is a bit different, as the place where a pin valve on a tank would move to seal and release is actually a small puncture probe that cannot be blocked. This puncture probe pierces the thick foil of the nitroair disposable tank. For now any of my tanks or retrofits will not be removable under pressure because of this.
I have a Komplete and like the nitrogen cylinder, but like the option of both in the event I want to have extended shooting sessions, or if there becomes a shortage on the nitrogen cylinders. Good videos, the notos tank is way more feasible than your previous tank, though a gauntlet 2 tank would be next level, if it could safely be done, and prob make the rifle superior to the stock version and thus command a higher selling price.
One of the issues with other tanks/cylinders is the size, as not much fits in the hole of the stock. At some point there are just better options that are not a whole lot more expensive to start with. That being said, I enjoy trying out things and building things enough that I can't say I won't try something else in the future.
Amazing work id also like to purchase a conversion tank for mine, the cartridges at my local store are almost always out of stock and twice the price on amazon.. looking forward to it!
It looks more and more like I will be making these adapters for sale in the future. I don't have a consistent supply of Notos cylinders, but let me see what it will take to get some from Snowpeak.
Thank you for another great vid! I subscribed because of it. I also commented on your other video regarding your adapter conversion. Been an hpa guy in paintball for 20 years. Im so sick of paying for cartridges, please sell me an adapter 🙏
The thing that would keep me from buying a Komplete is that there's no way to tell how much air is left in the cylinder. I would use it about once a week and there's no gauge to tell me if there's enough air for a shot or to even clear the barrel.
Yes, a big down side for sure. I'll have the adapters for those with Notos tanks hopefully by the end of January, and complete conversions about a month after. Both will have gauges and will make a good rifle even better.
I'm a fan of the N2 cylinders for infrequent shooting and simplicity, but as frequency goes up so to does cost ... quickly. Can you modify a longer PCP tube like on the Air Venturi Avenge-X? It would probably be close tot he length of the barrel and give it an "over-under" look, which some may like more than others, but will add quite a bit more air.
@@InspirePrecision I think there are some places in EU where you can source the replacement tubes like the Air Venturi and such. I guess having a pair of the Notos cylinders in series might also be an option if you can machine a fitting to replace the gauge end of one and threat an additional onto the end of it. Either way you're doing great work on these and this makes for a very adaptable platform. Thanks!
New to PCP was looking at complete and notos for first purchase. I like that nitrogen doesn't loose pressure in cold weather. Could I not refill notos cylinder with nitrogen for cold weather? Or since atmosphere contains nitrogen is PCP not finicky like co2. I like the size of notos and have been leaning towards it more. Any recommendations. Or any pre moded notos throwbacks you would like to sell?
@@nathanielrice6499 A Notos is a great first option, and what I would pick over the Komplete. HPA is not really temperature sensitive like CO2, so you are all set there.
Great Vid, David I would like to request a how to on the Umerex Komplete on how to remove the barrel. I swear I removed every obvious bolt on the gun, even the trigger assembly, but can't figure out the barrel. I was also trying to remove the moderator but think that is fixed. The problem is if anything gets logged in there its way more difficult to get pellets and in my case a cleaning patch out not being able to remove the barrel, which i finally got the patch out after hours of effort.
Really enjoy these modification videos. I like your style of presentation. I'm interested in a komplete for backyard plinking/pesting. Not digging the disposable bottles. I would like to do the same with a notos tank or something with slightly larger capacity. What would your recommendation be? Should I just go to jts aircuda? (I can't leave anything stock or factory 😅)
Thank you! I have an Airacuda awaiting a video review. While I think the Komplete is a good platform, most people in the refillable "camp" would be happier with a refillable rifle to start. I don't think you would be sorry with a JTS, the price is right and the fit and finish on the one I have here is great.
That would be great if you could and would do that for us because you get 2 nitro air tanks for about 30$ but if I could get a few tanks from you that would be my best bet and for me I can only buy online for the nitro air tanks not found in any of my Walmart stores
stock my 22 notos can fire 42 rounds on a single fill regulatedso you may wantto test it regulated 177 should take less to push and up the shots easy that way
@InspirePrecision from other videos I was under the impression if you turn something in the notos reg it adjusts the pressure and you can adjust the hammer spring too but that doesn't matter here
I'd have to think about it, "one offs" are pretty expensive since I was just messing around to see what would work. If I get enough interest I'll have some made at a CNC workshop that will be anodized and offered for sale.
@InspirePrecision well if you decide to do it I want one. Plus you could just do the adapter piece if you want to. I have three of the cylinders for the notos already from bottle conversions I have done on my three notos. One is stock , 380mm FX barrel,500mm FX barrel and 700mm FX barrel. So I'm really like the idea.
Maybe someone will made a refillable bottle for this rifle ...this rifle looks like the Walther rifles that are discontinued now but they had refillable cylinders... which i believe are still available...just saying...
I tried that in my last video on the topic. The wall thickness of these "bottles" is much too thin to have a fitting unless you would weld it on, but that is the last thing I would do as it would weaken the bottle. Putting a hole in or welding on these disposable bottles is a recipe for failure and in the worse case a catastrophic explosion could result. 3600psi must be treated with care.
@@InspirePrecision The adaptor would be an aluminum block with male and female fittings along with the fill port. Would sit between the rifle and original bottle. No modification to the bottle? Would only make the bottle stick out more.

Where I see it excel is in its FPS, over 1000fps in .177 and nearly 900fps in .22, depending on pellet choice of course. Any chance th they'll put out maybe double the volume of the current Nitrogen cylinders??
