When i tried to air up my carbon fiber 5 liter bottle after installation to 4350 psi the Snowpeak regularor blew the burst disk at 4000 psi. It says 5k stamped on the burst disk part but trust me you don't want to be close to your rifle when this happens! I checked with Wes at Airgun Archery Fun in Canada and he confirmed the regulator is not designed to handle 4350 psi. His site even warns about doing this and says even with the carbon fiber bottle only air up to 3625 psi. I wound up replacing the burst disk with a Captain oring 5k burst disk and all is well. So dont get yourself hurt or injured and just run your gun at the recommended factory pressure! . I get 80 shots per fill in 22 and thats plenty! Be safe everyone!

Best estimate on shot count now on reg, you think it’s double or maybe even more than that. Curious also if you have tested a Mactivty arms yet. You earned my subscription today, like your presentation, etc. Keep up the great work.
Thank you! I haven't sat behind the chronograph yet (with the bottle), but for the 500cc bottle at 3625psi expect around 45-50 shots on a regulator setting of 1900-2000psi. With light 20gr pellets you can tune further down and still achieve 890fps, maybe pick up another 10 or so shots. Bump that tank pressure to 4500psi and pick up even more, I'm sure the Zelos can handle it as it has a long history as the M60. I don't currently have any MA rifles, but I have had my eye on them. Might have to get one in for the future!
Heya man, I saw on eBay a little adapter that makes the zelos compatible with a secondary regulator and 300 bar bottles, and its made to work with the huben black hawk cricket regulator which the seller also has on hand and sells em with the adapter, you might wanna look into that, would make for a very interesting video imo, and would of course mean that the zelos could get further increases in shot count
I subscribed, I thought it was the least I can do for your valuable experience, also thumbs did a up! So I have an Umarex Zelos on order and want to do the bottle and possible barrel band as well. Can I get them through Utah airguns? Is the barrel band something that has been created for my gun or do I have to wait a bit for someone to make them? Also, I am wondering if a Donny Fl will thread and meet up with the end of the floating Barrel or is there say 2 inches or more of space from the end of the barrel to the entrance of the Suppressor? Donny Fl will give you a size up from 25cal to a 30cal if the barrel doesn't butt up against the suppressor to avoid the round from clipping the suppressor. Thanks again for your valuable information.
Thank you! There is likely a bottle band already mode for the snowpeak m60b somewhere, try searching as the zelos is pretty much identical. We will be releasing our own style of band soon, it's just not ready yet. I would suggest a 30 cal moderator as there is quite a space between the end of the barrel and the end of the shroud, but any standard 1/2-20 moderator will fit. Happy shooting, the zelos is a laser beam!
Thanks! It was bought from here: airgunarcheryfun.ca/snowpeak-m60b-trigger-guard-with-pic-rail/ but alas, all the items I used in this build are now sold out, likely the result of the video.
Nice bottle conversion on the Zelos. it looks cool. Just wondering how it affected the balance on the air rifle? Are you happy with this conversion or would you do it differently, now?
With the cheap heavy bottle it did bias the weight forward significantly. I suppose the only thing I would do different is put on a light 580cc or 700cc CF bottle but it would have been 4x more expensive. Since I actually bought everything myself, cost is always a consideration. Other that that, I suggest everyone do it for the increased shot count, to bad the video may have caused the parts to be sold out for a while, but good for Wes up in CA.
What’s the shot count on this with the bottle, I already ordered my notos a hubenpower valve and a 420cc bottle, but I’m at the same time looking into future air rifle upgrades lol, it’s either this, the reximex throne gen 2, the FX Maverick VP or AGT Vulcan 3
I've shot the JSB King Heavy to about 860fps, you would have to take the hammer spring up and tune to get any slugs that fast. It is likely possible. You can see that JSB shot string in one of my posts when I did the initial chronograph test.
I hope Umarex gets smart and brings out a 30 caliber version, I know snow peak has them out already on that caliber, even up to 35. I'm thinking they haven't done it yet because they're going to make one with a bigger plenum to make it more powerful, or they don't want it to compete with the Umarex Gauntlet 30 caliber that they have out already. For me, I'd rather wait because I like the compactness of a bullpup For hunting in the woods. It is not fun and I have tried to go out there in the woods with a large gun like a Umarex gauntlet It feels like you're carrying around a muzzleloader.
The gauntlet is very large for sure. I would make sense for Umarex to do what you suggest since the parts are already out there, or at least come out with caliber change kits like what are available for FX.
@UmarexAir Thank you! Quick question, is Umarex going to be releasing caliber change kits for the Zelos or additional calibers in the base configuration? The m60 has rifles in 30 and 35 cal in addition to the 22 and 25, and it would be nice to be able to change out calibers or have a Zelos in a larger caliber. I can get some parts for the m60 and convert, but it would be great for your US customers if you considered this for the US market.
It has been my position that a large portion of the US only know about Snowpeak/Artemis/etc because they were re-released under the Umarex name. Whatever you choose to get, there can be no doubt the designs are superb and low cost.
@InspirePrecision no I've known about the snow peak M60 for over 2 years and another bonus feature I forgot to mention is that the m60b comes with a moderator that you can get that stackable so you can take out baffle sections or add baffle sections to tune

I put an Umarex gauge that goes to 3625psi in the green on this one to replace the snowpeak one, so I don't intend to push it past that, I have been able to find out that the Zelos isn't designed for higher pressures, the rifle can handle it, but it will cause the regulator to wear prematurely. There is a 5000psi burst disc installed, but we likely will never receive a good answer to this question. The Snowpeak gauge I replaced does only read up to 250bar in the green, so that is one indication, but it only was designed for a 250bar aluminum bottle. I actually expect most that convert to a bottle to just try it out and see if there are any leaks just like any FX gun. There are tons of people running the Notos at 4500psi with a bottle conversion, so I expect no adverse effects with the Zelos breach internals and passageways. Time will tell if the regulators wear out with higher pressure. The Umarex regulator I changed to still reads the 3625psi in the green, I'll likely use it at that pressure.
Great information, Thanks 👍 I don't have a zelos yet, but do plan on it being my next PCP. Got to say it looks to be one of the easiest bottle conversions. I've done my Notos and a couple avengers, this one looks to be the easiest. I just subscribed, swing on over and check out the channel, have a good day.
That is more of a preference, and not a necessary change, and yes, the bottle adapter by itself is out of stock, but you can still buy it with a bottle.

Yes, made in China by Snowpeak/Artemis/etc/etc, but that isn't a new detail, just like every budget priced offering these days. Excellent design and an excellent performer, no matter what name is on the side. Thanks to Umarex for making it available in the US.

Time will tell if the regulators wear out with higher pressure. The Umarex regulator I changed to still reads the 3625psi in the green, I'll likely use it at that pressure.
what's the shot count difference
You'll at least double your shots, but since I've adjusted the regulator down a bit I'm getting 75+ with the 500cc bottle.
Great information, Thanks 👍
I don't have a zelos yet, but do plan on it being my next PCP. Got to say it looks to be one of the easiest bottle conversions.
I've done my Notos and a couple avengers, this one looks to be the easiest.
I just subscribed, swing on over and check out the channel, have a good day.
Thanks! Yes, very easy to convert. I'll check you out!
How many shots and power
With bottle 60+ regulated shots, I'm getting about 52fpe stock reg and hammer spring, JSB 34gr pellets.
Okay, I am not finding a manometer as you have described.
Also, as i went to the site for bottle adapter, site implied that this adapter by itself was not available. Although it may just not be in-stock.
That is more of a preference, and not a necessary change, and yes, the bottle adapter by itself is out of stock, but you can still buy it with a bottle.
is that 580? whats your shot count? will a 700 fit?
Yes, a 700cc like what I linked to in the description will fit. 60+ regulated shots with that 500cc tank.
How can get adapter
Unfortunately these bottle adapters are sold out.
U can pre order from airgun archery fun
I need this… upgrade. Nice video
Credit where credit is due.
I would of put a 300cc cf bottle for lighter weight and still more shots 😅
But that's me
I did have a 300cc CF FX bottle laying around, but when I put it next to the Zelos it just looked too small.
Can you please send me the part list please to do a bottle kit for the zelos
I'd like to open a store and offer the upgrades and things I do here but I'm not there yet. The parts were here: airgunarcheryfun.ca/m60b-new-style-bottle-valve-with-fill-nipple-and-gauge/ but They are now sold out, likely the sole result of this video, I am unaware of any other place to get them. Contact Wes at Airgunarcherfun and he will let you know when more will be in.
The poor mans FX....LMAO.
...and?
It needs that bottle. Good gun but literally looks cheap and stupid with the skinny tube hanging so far away from the barrel
I like the look of the bottle also.
❤
umarex zelos = rebranded snowpeak m60 if you dont know that
I make that pretty clear towards the end of this video.
Where are they saying it’s made? Does it say Made in China on the side of the action?
Yes, made in China by Snowpeak/Artemis/etc/etc, but that isn't a new detail, just like every budget priced offering these days. Excellent design and an excellent performer, no matter what name is on the side. Thanks to Umarex for making it available in the US.
Please sell me that one.
I'll be keeping this one, too good to get rid of!
been buying snowpeaks from krale for 3 years order from pyramyd or airgun depot and get your gun in 7 to 10 days order from the krale in the netherlands and get it in 3 days and its a little cheaper i have asked this question several times with no answer, question is why doesnt anybody carry snowpeak in america umarex and a few others do but under their name with changes like the zelos and stoeger bullshark (snowpeak P35) with a ugly rediculous stock and i have just about come to the conclusion that they dont want snowpeaks by the name here because they are as good as the 1200 to 2000 dollar guns but rarely any of the snow peaks are over 600 bucks my p35 about 450.00 will outshoot my fx maverick and daystate revere out to my 90 yards i have to shoot to it puts 18.13s under a quarter at 90 and my fx and daystate wont quiet shoot as good a group and cost 3 times as much go figure . ive been saying the big names are way over priced and the snowpeak rifles have proven what ive said to be true even you said it the zelos is a snowpeak m60 the notos is a pp750 with a different stock
There is no doubt the m60 frame no matter whos name is on it, is a great performer for little money. No shame to Umarex for getting it in the hands of more people.
@@InspirePrecision i dont disagree with you but why doesnt pyramyd or AGD just import the snowpeak line in and sell them under the snowpeak name is my question its great that some companies are rebranding them and selling under their name i have no problem with that
Why wouldnt they offer this from the factory??. We will pay for it...cmon Uma
The factory does it’s called a Snowpeak M60B. Umerex is but a rebrander not the manufacturer
@@MrVoltar1 now if they only made thisbwith semi auto wed be a champ
How's this compared to the avenge x in terms of accuracy and slug shooting
Like a laser beam with most pellets I have tried, working with slugs has been a bit more challenging, but lots of tuning to do and plenty of room for it. I don't have an avenge-x, so I can't speak to any comparisons.
