It's soooo good to see Galbraith get some more exposure on YT. He is one of the finest guitarists alive. The Brahms guitar may not be the future of guitar...but it should be.

haha... who are the TWO people that gave this a thumbs down?!!! Galbraith is probably THE BEST GUITARIST ON THE PLANET.

Wonderful. Not surprising that Paul would know Neuhaus's wonderful book on piano playing and that there are expressive touches -- an artist's palette of nuances -- that go beyond the restrictive nonsense of "classical guitar" orthodoxy. The muscles that move the fingers to attack the strings are in the forearm, not the hand, yet so few guitarists seem to think for themselves or question the orthodoxy of resting the forearm against the guitar.

I saw Paul play the complete Bach solo partitas and sonatas in Edinburgh 1996, by memory !!
I will never forget it , I can’t imagine how he did it.

Sorry for the late reply. That must've been an incredible performance!
Paul's work on that is one of my favorites and I use it as a point of reference
in my studies of those pieces. I really think he just perfected those
solo Partitas and Sonatas for guitar. Thanks!

Very interesting interview, thanks for putting it up. When can we expect part 2?

I hear you about the physically restrictive nature of the guitar in relation to producing music on it and it didn’t suit my more expansive personality. In the end, I chose a more dramatic solution than you when after years of pursuing it I cut off my carefully manicured fingernails and took up the more physical piano and providing myself with a more useful instrument on which to compose.

Ponto. Maior que isso, só na Quarta Dimensão.
*"Published on 27 Sep 2017"* => Num canal DEDICADO prioritariamente ao Violão, somente quase DOIS ANOS DEPOIS eles lançaram a entrevista - mas ATÉ HOJE (maio-2018) a "Parte 2" não saiu... E agora?
